Review from Joel C.
Surprisingly, not a bad place! Good thing I checked out what David K. had to say! Came here to do an information interview with another IBM department. At first, I was a bit afraid that we had chosen a bad place to talk and eat since there really isn't much going on in this complex. I was surprised on how busy it was and the business people coming in and out of the doors.
The menu is simple. They have everything from pizza, salads, sandwiches, calzones and even pasta. I had to try the pizza and got the Monster Slice...which is equivalent to two slices of pizza. I choose pepperoni, sausage and green peppers as my toppings. Carol got the sun dried tomato and onions on her pizza. It was actually quite good! I like the crispiness of the crust and the toppings were good...a bit salty, but the sip of coke made it taste oh so better.
I am definitely coming back here for lunch! It is fairly inexpensive and they do the whole punch card deal....10 punches and you get $5.00 off your next meal. Plus its quick and taste fresh! -

Need a cheap place to eat where you'll get fresh food that will fill you up? This is the place. I was down to my last $5 (payday is tomorrow... you know how that is) and I was too lazy to bring my lunch, so my when my co-worker suggested that we walk over to get a slice of pizza I was all over it.
Overall I was very happy. For exactly $5.35 you can get a "monster slice" which is about the size of two slices of pizza. I even got to pick two toppings and in about 5 minutes it was served up fresh. They have mastered the custom pizza-by-the-slice (as opposed to reheating a pre-made slice of cheese pizza, they seem to pile everything on pre-made dough... including the sauce).
Good and cheap don't always go together well, but in this case they do... I'd even go so far as to say good, cheap, and yummy. -

Wish I still worked close by! This place is awesome! The service is always quick (even with the crazy Perimeter lunch hours!) the portions are large and more than adequate. No complaints!

After a long day of moving very heavy furniture without so much of a pause for food, my fiance, our very tall and athletic friend (a 6'8" swimmer), and I headed here for much needed sustenance. We got 2 orders of garlic cheese bread, 2 medium pizzas (one with sausage, onion and green pepper, the other with ham and pineapple) and 3 drinks.
Considering both guys with me are both large, had a rather large work out and always have hearty appetites, I was surprised that they were full! I have never heard our friend say that he is full (keep in mind, this is a guy who eats 2 bowls of pho as a snack), but he actually hit a wall eating the ham and pineapple pizza.
In any case, the garlic cheese bread, while nothing special, was good. The sausage, onion and green pepper pizza was excellent, and the peppers were obviously fresh. The pineapple on the ham and pineapple was not, but this was no surprise. It also seems the second pizza could have benefited from staying in the oven for a bit longer - the crust was a bit mushy. It didn't take away enough though to be of terrible detriment.
The place itself is no frill at all. I suspect most of their orders must be carry out. But you know, the surroundings aren't nearly as important to me as the food, plus it looked very clean.
In any case, it was $35 very well spent. -

When I was enslaved in the horrible cyber sweatshop http://Autotrader.com around the corner I practically lived in Pizza Construction. We would unlock the cast iron shackles from our ankles and trot over for lunch 'cause it was the closest place to the office, and we could get back before we were 2 minutes late and be written up.
I'm not kidding. If an employee was two minutes late he/she would be written up and then that would show up on your review and you would get a ten cents raise. Don't get me started....
Pizza Construction has good food and the prices are affordable. The dining room is no frills, but generally clean, and the menu selection is pretty good for such a small place. The giant salads are very tasty and the monster slice of pizza is just that!
There is a caveat to all this goodness-the place is SLOW. I mean, like there are eight employees standing around in the kitchen EATING pepperoni in plain site of the customers (and not washing their hands), but no food going out. There is always a giant pow-wow going on in the back. Always.
Some of the employees need to pull their pants up, too. Having lunch while gazing at the ass of a bored 18 year old boy in faded Old Navy boxers isn't very appetizing.
The owner/operator, a nice man named Mr. Frank, seems clueless and is one of the worst grazers behind the counter. He always wants to chat and get you to sign up for the annoying Specials Emails but he doesn't seem to understand most people only get an hour for lunch. Be warned: don't sign up for those emails-it took me two months to get them to stop sending them.
If you go later in the day or earlier you should be able to get in and out without having a meltdown. -

Great sandwich's, fresh and full! Right next door to the Derby, so if you're going out for an afterwork happy hour; get a sub before you get tanked - this is the place to go, healthy and well priced.
