For what it is, it's not too bad.  They certainly can whip up a take-out order pretty fast.  I had the rigatoni bolognese and it was pretty flavorful.  Nothing to smack you in the face with the wow, but all in all it was decent.  The staff seemed friendly enough as well.  Since it's close enough to walk to from my work I'd probably order from them again at least for take out, but I'm not sure I'd make it a sit down destination.

I decided order delivery from these guys yesterday.  I ordered the taco pizza, which was good, but not great.  It had onions, green peppers, beans, black olives, but it just wasn't very spicy which is what I was hoping for.  We also ordered the Buffalo Chicken Strips, which were decent, but again not the spiciness I was looking for.  Bruschetta was the standout of the bunch.  It was very flavorful and came with enough bread to go around.  The biggest minus I have for this place is they are way too expensive.  Those 3 things plus a veggie wrap (which didn't come with fries) was over 50 dollars.  That's just unreal.   I might go back, but the price of the food might keep me away.

PIZZA CRAPP-Y

I didn't care for this place at all.  The servers are nice, but the food was bad.  The bread was tough, bland, and seemed undercooked, the salads were a soggy mess, and I've had better eggplant parm from my grocer's freezer.  Maybe their pizza is worth trying, but after this experience I'm really not in the mood to give them a second chance.

Nessun grazie!

God do I love this place.
My sister and I tend to go here every once in awhile for a carb-fest and it most definitely provides.  The staff here is EXTREMELY nice and attentive and can keep up with the bread/olive oil needs of two women on a carb bender, which says something.
Speaking of, they have this freaking delicious flavored olive oil with herbs and stuff already in it for dipping bread.  I also think their vodka-sauce gnocci is amazing, as is their garlic cheese bread.  I've really not had anything I don't like there and I attempt to get something different each time.
I've never been there for dinner, but as a small, quiet lunch spot, it is amazing.
Now I want carbs.

Adequate. My mixed baby green salad was good, the dressing was a bit sweet, though. My glass of red wine was on the vinegary side. I thought it was pretty expensive for the quality of the food.

Typically, I stay away from Italian if I am going out to eat. I don't really know why, just figure I can make most of it at home (yeah riiiight). Anyway, after a brisk class at Bar Method, my friends and I needed to reverse all the work and chow on some decent food...and here we landed.

Surprising to me, they had brunch options (weekends only). Limited, but adequate. Regular staples, omlettes, french toast, pancakes, et al. Plus, regular menu.

Not crowded at all. Nice on a Sunday when most brunch places are packed to the gills.

Server was superb. Very nice, helpful, attentive. Didn't flinch when I ordered my standard breakfast drinks: ice water, diet coke, coffee. No, I am not expecting anyone else...I just like a lot of options for breakfast beveraging! :)

My only complaints were that my food was a bit cold, and my coffee refills were very slow. However, the diet cokes were flowing by the pitcher, so I am not really sure why the coffee was allowed to sit stagnant and lonely. Food was pretty standard. I probably wouldn't be back for brunch, but the pizza is good...and looks like a great lunch/delivery spot.

This place earned 4 stars for that?  Really?  Really really?

Hokay ...

Soggy dough, skimpy toppings, and a $2.50 delivery "tax" for driving less than a mile to my place and you got 4 stars?

You're lucky you get the two stars from me, but you were fast (delivered in under 30 minutes) and your salad was decent.  But not even 10 minutes on the pizza stone could crisp up your soggy and sagging dough.

I'm a fan of this place.....

Service is pretty prompt, they also do carryout and delivery.

I am a fan of the gnocchi, but I order it with a little less sauce as it's pretty rich and too much just kills it for me.  All the dishes I've had from here are pretty good, I've had about 4-5 different dishes including the gnocchi.

As a vegetarian, I've found alot of options on their menu.  Loved their salad with the pears and walnuts.  Yum.  Also, the veggie pizza was pretty good.  Also, waiter wasn't irritated when I asked about the menu choices.  Yea!

I used to absolutely love this place but the last few times I have ordered from them, I have had problems.  In November/December I ordered a pizza from them.  They said it would take 45 minutes.  It took over 1.5 hours!  I called them a few times but they said they were busy and he should be there any minute.  Finally they gave me $10 off my next order.  Really, I feel, they should have done more.  The pizza ordered was awful and the dough was not even cooked all the way.  It also had a very strange taste to it.  Had to throw it away.  I had had their pizza before and liked it.  Something was very very off this time.

I believe mistakes can happen but in a service oriented business it is important to recover from those mistakes.  After talking to the manager and getting $10 off my NEXT order, didn't really leave a good taste in my mouth - just like the pizza didn't!

Next time I ordered, again took over 1 hour and they said 45 minutes.  Food was warm at best.

I just tried to order a third time.  They took my order, gave me a total amount but never gave me the delivery time.  Ten minutes later I get a call from the manager telling me I live out of the delivery area so it is an additional charge.  What?  I have been ordering from them for FOUR years now.  This is the first time I have heard of this.

The manager (Bria) was super nice and explained the situation which I really appreciate.  Honestly from the 3 times I have had experiences with them, she is the first encounter of a person with great communication skills and willingness to help the customer and balance the needs of the business.  I truly appreciate that.  She is one of many managers though and the first one wasn't helpful at all.  If it was always Bria or someone with her service, honesty and professionalism I would reconsider.

However, this is now the third experience with them that I have had that hasn't been super great seeing how after four years they are now going to charge me more.

There are tons of places to get food in Chicago, so it is time to throw away this menu and go elsewhere.

Pizza Capri is my favorite deep dish in Chicago. I feel that I should try other toppings (er, fillings), but I always go back to the spinach and mushroom deep dish because it is simply the creamiest, most buttery, flaky, perfectly salty cheesy thing you could ever eat. I've only eaten in the restaurant, never takeout, but in the restaurant the pizza always comes out perfect... perfectly gooey cheese in a crust that's just flaky enough but not overdone.

Why not five stars? I once made the mistake of ordering the thin crust and, while delicious, I spent the whole time thinking how it wasn't nearly as good as their stuffed crust.

I gave Pizza Capri a try today for lunch and had one of the best salads of my life!  The grilled salmon salad was fabulous!  Salmon hot off the grill, mixed greens, mango, apples, red peppers, roasted almonds, and mango vinaigrette.  It was so pretty and ridiculously tasty!  I'm not a big salad eater (but I'm trying!), and I cleaned my plate.  I will definitely be back!

Pizza Capri has the best gourmet pizzas.  They have other great foods as well, such as pasta and salads.  Another time I had the spinach ravioli and mixed greens salad that had sweet roasted pecans in it.  It was yummy!  I will definitely be back.

I was not a fan of this pizza at all. We had the thin crust delivered. The crust was just kind of chewy and is it possible for a pizza to have too much cheese? I mean, pizza's pizza and it was definitely edible but I won't be ordering again. I'm giving it three stars because they were really courteous on the phone and delivery was quick.

What I like so much about Pizza Capri is that everything tastes fresh.  I usually stick to one thing at most restaurants, but I branch out at Pizza Capri and try all their pastas and pizza options.  The restaurant ambiance isn't great....I usually get pizza capri for take-out.

Probably some of the best pizza I've had in a long time, without a doubt the best thin crust I've had in Chicago.

Met up there with a friend for lunch today after I had been lusting after it while driving down Belmont since I moved here.  Our server couldn't have been nicer and more attentive.  The drinks were always filled to the brim and the food was good and hot.

Starting out with the mozzarella sticks was a good choice in my opinion.  Six sticks with some pretty tasty marinara sauce was a nice way to ease into the pizza...oooooh the pizza.  I was in a particularly bland mood today so went for the basic pepperoni thin crust.  MMMMM.  It came out piping hot from the oven, the crust was crisp to perfection, light, and airy.  The sauce was fantastic and overall I couldn't get enough.  Paying $15 each with a generous tip for all of that wasn't a bad deal, either!!

I really like Pizza Capri when I am in the mood for some crispy thin crust pizza.  They offer some tasty specialty pizzas on the menu and delicious salads as well.  The space is very accommodating for a larger group.  I went here with a bunch of my friends for my birthday and we shared a great dinner along with wine and nobody had to break the bank!  The service is always very good...and the decor is warm and inviting.

My roommate and I decided to dine here on a casual Saturday afternoon, looking for a good but quick lunch. Although my mom had raved about the excellent food at Pizza Capri, I was less than impressed with my goat cheese salad. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fantastic either.

After reading some of the other reviews, I'm thinking that the entrees are really the way to go if you're going to eat here. Due to all the good I've heard about this place, I'm willing to give it another try.

Excellent thin crust pizza.
I've gotten the 4 cheese with basil pizza (yummy!) and the garlic bread (soft, cheesey and huge!) for take out, and have eaten in and had a pepperoni and goat cheese pizza (fantastic!) and mozzarella cheese sticks (eh,  just okay -  they seemed like they came from a box but what can one expect from deep friend cheese?). It's inexpensive, the portions are just right for the price, the service is good, and it makes for an excellent and delicious hang-over remedy.

Somehow, I stumbled into Pizza Capri one Saturday when my friend from out of town said that she wanted a "good sandwich" for lunch.  It seems easy enough, right? Not so much.  In that neighborhood you have Ethiopian, Indian, Thai, Mediterranean, pirogues, burritos, sushi... You get the point. Everything except regular old sandwiches (subway does not count).

From the minute we entered this place, I was happy with my decision.  We were greeted by a happy staff and seated right away.  As soon as we sat down, someone brought out an absolute taste sensation.  A plate of olive oil, several different Italian spices and parmesan cheese accompanied by a big basket of warm bread.

The menu has a huge variety of items to suit all tastes and they serve brunch on the weekends.  Some of my personal favorites include:  the cilantro wrap, turkey and guac wrap, barbeque chicken pizza and their pastas are great.

This place is really a not so hidden gem in an area where the food choices vary as much as the outfit choices of its patrons.  It blows its next door neighbor, Leona's, right out of the water.

There are way too many pizza options in Chicago, and somehow Pizza Capri hasn't stood out to me until last night. The consensus of 4 girls watch the 2 hour grey's special, was pizza and salad. Although we didn't want to feel too stuffed.. pizza capri was the right choice! The veggie twist pizza was filling but not to the point of feeling sick. The dressing for the far east salad was a sesame ginger dressing.. excellent!! I'm usually skeptical about ordering salad, because I like my veggies crunchy.. and I surely got my wish :) Pizza Capri is moving up when I get in a pizza mood :) Delivery was right on time, although ti was a Thursday night.

I didn't listen to the other reviews here and decided to try a pizza from pizza capri.   You would think this would be a speciality what with the word "pizza" in their name and everything.  I found out the hard way that this is no guarantee:  I ordered the BBQ chicken, (a knockoff of one of my favorite californi pizza kitchen pizzas), and was disappointed to find that the crust was chewy and flavorless and the chicken hard and dry.  The mixed green salad with candied pecans and gorgonzola cheese was excellent though.  I am not sure what they put into that raspberry vinagrette but it was delish.  My wife had a veggie wrap that was big enough for her to eat for two days.   So all in all, I might order a salad or sandwich again from Capri but I will save my pizza eating for Frasca or DOC!

So I've been here a few times and I've also gotten delivery. The service has been very good each time even over the phone for delivery. Surprisingly enough I've never actually had the pizza here. My favorite is the far east chicken salad with goat cheese! Yum! I always tell myself to try something different but I love the salad so much I can never try anything else. So the four stars from me is strictly based on great, friendly service and ONE excellent salad! lol not sure how helpful that was...

I don't know how many times I've waited for the #77 in front of here, but I never really thought of going inside til last night.

The bread and olive oil with cheese was so good, my bf wanted to ask the waitress what brand it was. I was ridiculously hungry, so I scarfed it down.

I liked that there was a pretty wide selection of dishes on the menu. Hummus? Listed as the first appetizer? Odd, but I love hummus, so props. I'm curious how an Italian restaurant would do hummus. There was also a Zorba the Greek pizza I thought of trying. Instead I got eggplant parmigiana, which has become my new staple Italian meal (I'm so sick of Alfredo and manicotti). It was pretty damn good. BF got some sort of spinach ravioli. Though it was oddly orange and looked vaguly like cat sick, it was absolutely delicious.

Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. She even complimented my shirt (love that). Props to whatever her name was, cos she ruled.

Edit: This is my new favorite pizza in the city. Add a star! Stuffed is better than Giordano's or Gino's because it isn't a giant ball of grease covered in cheese and tomato sauce. And they (appear to) use fresh spinach. Oh yeah!

Surprisingly enough, I don't even get the pizza here. The Buffalo Chicken salad is absolutely wonderful. I've also gotten the burger here and it's really good. I will have to get to the pizza when I get a chance, but trust me on that salad. My college friends and I weigh in around 200 pounds each, and we all really like that damn Buffalo Chicken Salad.

So just go do it. If you don't like it, I want to hear about it.

I was suprized by how good this pizza actually is!  Some of the best crust I have ever had!  Delicious, melty, cheese.  it seems to be a blend of whole and skim mozzarella. Great spices!  I LOVE LOEV LOVE pizza, but dislike garlic so I really enjoyed the fresh tomato and oregano, minimal garlic, taste of their sauce.  I have always had very good service there, and the first time I went we stayed for several hours without being nagged.

My friend and I ordered from Pizza Capri last night. I have to admit I was pretty impressed with the delivery. They told us our food would be about a 45 minute wait but it was there in about 20 minutes. I got the turkey wrap with guac. It was pretty good. I've taken everyone from out of town to Pizza Capri, and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, almost intimate. It's usually empty when I choose to go around (around 3 pm), but I have no problem with that. The bread is served hot with flavorful, seasoned olive oil, and grated Parmesan cheese to dip the bread in. They always bring more without a problem.

For food, the Caprese is very good. Just the right amount of ingredients. The Bruschetta is crunchy and flavorful. My favorite salad is the mixed baby greens. It's sweet, crunchy, and the blue cheese adds just the right amount of tang; you simply can't go wrong. The Caesar salad is delicious, with a bonus of whole black olives. With both the pasta and the salads, you can get a bigger size for a small fee.

For the main dish, I usually get the Rotini Tuscany. Sun-dried tomatoes, sauteed broccoli, and grilled chicken in an olive oil sauce over rotini is just the most amazing meal ever. I've had midnight cravings just for this pasta! I usually ask for a side of the grated Parmesan as I'm not a fan of the stuff out of the shaker. My family and friends have gotten other kinds of pasta and never been disappointed. I've always been too full for dessert... but will post more if that ever changes! I recommend their delivery service as well; they call to let us know they're leaving, delivery is timely, and the fees aren't too bad.

My parents were visiting this weekend from out of town and mom wanted pizza for dinner.  I live across the street from this place, but have never had their pizza before.  I suggested going to another restaurant, but as we walked past Pizza Capri my dad said "let's go there - it's close, looks like it should have pizza, and my feet are tired."

We ordered a Spicy Chicken specialty pizza and a Deep Dish sausage pizza to go.  The deep dish was just okay - not too greasy (good) but you couldn't taste the sausage (what?!?) even when you knew you definitely had a bite of meat in your mouth.  The best thing about the deep dish was that I didn't have to heat it up to eat the leftovers the next day.  It's difficult to find pizza that's good hot and cold.

I am not usually a fan of chicken on a pizza, but the Spicy Chicken specialty thin crust pizza was GREAT!  Not too thin, loaded with pesto, tomatoes, chicken and spicy stuff.  I would definitely order it again.

I've also had the turkey and guacamole wrap several times.  Quite tasty.  When I dine in, I like to sit at the tables by the window and watch the people waiting for the bus.  People watching while eating good food rules.  :-)

I've only ordered take out from here but it was really good!  I had the Grecian salad because I can't resist anything with goat cheese on it.  The dressing came on the side which was awesome because I like to dip my salad in it.  Their menu is enormous though, I'll definitely have to order again and try more things!

Pizza Capri follows the basic mold for Chicago-style pizza place with some pastas and salads. It is very similar to Giordano's. Like Giordano's the place is rarely packed. One assumes they do most of their business through delivery. (Pizza Capri has become a semi-weekly routine delivery option... Had a bad day? Let's call Pizza Capri... get our 'usual'.)

The stuffed pizza is top notch. There are some great salad options that go beyond the typical 'antipasto' type pizza chain salad you expect. Some awesome appetizers (the garlic cheese bread, though rather simple is addicting) and most surprisingly the pasta dishes are all exceptional.

The first several times I went to or ordered Pizza Capri is was just for the pizza... I never expected to find such great Italian food as well. The Lucky Ginger Linguini (more Thai than Italian) my easy favorite. The portions are very generous.

This was a place I happened to choose to go to when I was with a friend walking down Belmont. It rapidly jumped up to my Top 5 favorite eateries in Chicago. My most beloved dish here is the chicken scallopini piccata. I have tried to recreate this lemon caper sauce at home and  failed. When I've ordered this without chicken, they have added more pasta or, in a rare few occurences, charged me less for the entree. The wine selection pairs nicely with pasta or pizza. The Caprese always uses big, fresh tomatoes and huge slices of fresh mozzarella. The shroom pizza is great for vegetarians. The Tex-Mex egg roll is crisp not greasy. The wait staff here is exceptional and well versed with the menu. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong here.

I had great calamari here.  The sandwich was also good.  The food here is not spectacular, but it's it's not terrible either.  Overall, I would call this a place for a decent no frills meal.

They have a a great variety of main dishes and sides to choose from. Reasonbly priced,  a little more of a casual dining kinda place. There is table service, but alot of their bus. seems to be take out or delivery. There is no parking lot, and as most of you know it can be very challenging to find a space around here.

This place was supposed to be delicious, or so I heard.  Quite the contrary.  I was very disappointed in my pizza, and my girlfriend was disappointed with her sandwich.  Not worth the money.  The staff was quite nice though.

Rustic pizzas and huge portions of pasta, bruschetta and calamari, and many other Italian and Italian-inspired favorites.
Pronto delivery service; excellent for those nights you don't feel like you can even boil water.

I had had a bbq chicken sandwich from a pizza Capri truck at school and really liked it, so when we walked by this location one day we decided to give it a try.  It was very disappointing.  Their pizza was not very good at all, and the bread on my sandwich was kinda stale.  Our waitress was very nice and attentive.  The place was pretty empty too.
