Pizza Cali has a really good atmosphere for study time. It's nice and quiet, and they play a wide variety of music throughout the day.
(Except for one time where I happened to catch the speakers play "I'm on Boat" by T-Pain and Andy Samburg. HAHAHA! They caught it and changed the track about 10 seconds into the song.)

Their Barbecue Chicken flavor (Tuesday's special), crispy buffalo wings, and white raspberry cheesecake can put you in an instant food coma.

Their outdoor seating is ingenious with perfectly placed Christmas lights under their sun umbrellas. Once nightfall hits, the lights go on and not only do you have enough light socialize with your friends under, it adds to the look and the over all atmosphere of the restaurant.

Lastly, their mid-day/night time manager (Tony) is the most welcoming guy in the world. Never have I met a restaurant manager so sincere and optimistic about everything.

Good sh*t, Pizza Cali.

I heart Pizza California. It's always an enjoyable experience here. I can not think of any one instance that was negative in all the times I've been here. The cashiers are always nice and the waitstaff are always on top of it. Big plus, I can always find a booth to sit in everytime I come here or eat outside if it's nice enough =]

I love how the crust is nice and crispy, but there's a soft, chewy interior to the dough. Pizzas are brought out to you and perfectly sliced. I would recommend the "Grizzly" for you meat lovers, "Earthquake" for all you combo lovers with a twist, or the "Californian" for regular combo, and  "Frisco" is great also or the "Santa Cruzer" minus the zucchini.

The bill here comes out to be a little bit more pricey for what you get, but well worth great pizza and service. The other thing is the price they charge you for salad! Small salad is $3.95 and the large is $5.95, which makes me a little sad since I LOVE salad, but the salad bar is pretty extensive (ie corn, peas, beans, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, egg, and a whole lot more toppings). So expect a small pizza + small salad + drink to total about $20. They also have a lunch special for a slice of pizza + small salad + drink for about $8.

YUMMMMY!!!

Bruschetta Chicken Pizza. Best pizza I've had in a lonnnng time! The pesto bread was good too. You go in and order and then seat yourselves. They also have cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory on display right by the counter. I was so tempted, you don't eve know. My friend and I ate 2 slices each and were stuffed.... food coma status. I would love to come ANYTIME to satisfy any of my pizza cravings!

The only reason why I knocked it down a star is because I didn't give a tip and the cashier gave me a dirty look.. Uhh.. hello? I worked at restaurants... why do you deserve a tip for just ringing in my order and bringing it to my table? Am I wrong here? lol

Pretty good pizza, in my opinion. It seems less greasy than all the other pizza delivery places. Never had a pizza that I did not like!  The crust has the right amount of crunch to soft doughiness ratio...My go to place for delivery!

HAD THEIR SPICY BUFFALO WINGS; IM NOT REALLY A FAN OF BUFFALO WINGS, BUT THEIRS IS PRETTY GOOD. AND QUITE MEATY AS WELL; EXCEPT I WISHED THEY WOULD'VE GIVEN ME MORE WINGS THAN LEGS. LITERALLY I HAD ONLY TWO WINGS, REST WERE WINGS (comes in a total of 12 wings btw). ALSO HAD THEIR SMALL MUSHROOM, PEPPERONI PIZZA; ITS REALLY GOOD. I LOVE HOW THE DOUGH IS THICK AND DOUGHY LIKE :D

Love the pizza here compared to other places. The bottom of the pizza is actually thick enough to hold on all the toppints. Though the normal pizzas like combo, cheese, etc are good, I like the BBQ chicken and Pesto chicken pizza.

I think tuesday's are the days they make bbq chicken by slices. Each day is something different besides the usual pizzas. They have a nice salad bar too, and if you live nearby you get coupons stuck on your door. SCORE.

The only downer is that there are a lotttta loiterers here so I prefer to just buy it and bring it home..

I pass by this place all the time and I never even knew that Pizza California was even here!

If you love pizza, I definitely recommend Pizza California. They have an extensive selection of different pizzas, bread sticks, wings, salad bar etc...

I ordered the Frisco Pizza and a half order of Pesto Bread sticks.

-The "half order" of bread sticks was HUGE. I can't even image who would need a full order of their bread sticks! The bread sticks also came with ranch and marinara sauce. It wasn't pesto-y enough for my taste but it was still very good.. mmm

-The only thing different between a medium pizza and a large pizza is that the large is 2 inches wider than the medium... (8 slices each). Frisco pizza has mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, italian sausage and I think it has salami on top also.

The pizza is delicious here and the prices are very good for the quality you receive. (half order of bread sticks & medium pizza = about $23)

From my visit to Pizza California on 7/2/2009.

Ate at Pizza California today.  The pizzas were again AWESOME.  Blows any other commercial place like Little Caesars, Dominos (ugh), Pizza Hut etc., out of the water!

Today we had

-Californian
-Santa Cruzer
-Earthquake
-Creamy Chicken Pesto

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars before...is again...limit of one round on salad bar.  I wish they'd allow unlimited.

From my visit to this place on 4/25/2009:

This is one of my favourite pizza places.  Their pizzas are so good.  You don't know what you are missing until you try it.

     We usually order:

     -Santa Cruzer (w/out cheese)
-Hollywood (has sundried tomatoes...little on saltier side)
     -Creamy Pesto Chicken (delicious!)
-Earthquake (def a meat lover's pizza...very very good)
     -Sierra (again, very good!)
-Reg. Buffalo wings.  (slightly spiced but not too spicy).

     All delicious!

The pizza is always fresh, crust is crispy, the employees are friendly and the place is usually clean.  The bathrooms are almost always clean also....that's a plus!

They have a salad bar too, very fresh but they only allow one pass.  No refills.  That's the only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars.  Large salad is $5.75 while a small is $3.75.

We almost always come here with friends and they all love the pizza too.  We don't ever order out, we always eat there and the pizza has never been disappointing.  This had to have been our 10th time there.

They also have an outdoor patio so you can bring your (socialized) dogs out to eat with you outside.

I'm such a fan of Pizza California!! The lunch special is a deal... Salad, pizza slice and a soda! The salad bar had to be the best part....I really appreciate the variety of the salad toppings and the Ranch dressing is some of the best I've ever had (and I consider myself to be a Ranch dressing expert).

Parking can be a pain on certain days but this place is SO close to my office I'm going to make it a weekly lunch stop.

Oh my gosh, this place straight up has the BEST PIZZA EVER! I live down in Los Angeles, but everytime I'm up in the Bay Area I make it a point to go!

I'm not really a fan of pizza; I don't eat it often. But the pizza here I will eat anyday!!! The creamy garlic sauce and quantity of toppings make this place an absolute dream. They do NOT skimp whatsoever on the toppings unlike a lot of places (so make sure you really like whatever you order!). Breadsticks are also amazing - but beware the size you order, we thought we were hungry so we ordered breadsticks and it came out pizza sized!! They also have a salad bar and desserts, but I save myself for the pizza and breadsticks exclusively.

I've only been twice, but both times there was no wait and always plenty of seats available.

Pros: Generous amount of toppings, variety of sauces, always hot and piping!
Cons: 6 hours away from where I live :((

I live literally 2 blocks away.  When I first moved into my house I didn't have any of my clothes let alone a fridge put in yet.  So what's the default food that stays like no other and tastes great cold?  PIZZA!

I actually walked into this place thinking it said California Pizza (my unobservant and apparently dislexic mind added the Kitchen).

The pizza and the bread sticks are great.  I usually tell how much I like a pizza by the crust and theirs is great.  Best part they have a PW Market next door where I usually buy some cream cheese to put on the crust for later.  Yeah yeah yeah.  It sounds kinda gross if you've never tried it but honestly, the crust is basically like a bagel.  I mean dude, it's bread.  Just try it, ok?

But the best part was, I discovered their happy hour.  Mon-Fri from 4-6PM.  About 5 bucks for a pitcher of domestic and 7 bucks a pitcher for better beer.  That's how much it costs for one glass at a bar!!!  So my advice, grabs some friends, order like 4 pitchers and some pizza and have at it.  If you don't have any friends, shit, call me up and I'll buy a round.

So my fat friend owed me a pizza, so she orderd one from Pizza California. We got a large pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom carry out.

We got back to her place and after prayers were said (her family is in a cult) and we let the visitors from above that we were awaiting their return, we dug in. Pizza was really good.

I returned here there next day with some other friends and we got a large "Earthquake". This pizza was also delicious and the bread sticks were even better! They give you alot as well.

This place is a little more expensive than Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc., but you get what you pay for. One of the better pizza places around here.

Ahhh, Pizza Cali. What can I say. I have so many memories of good times with friends here. Knew almost everyone who worked here. But after a while (probably around 8 years) I started to drift away. Every now and again i'll come back.
Even though alot of my friends that worked there are now gone, and alot of the regulars have moved on, one thing that never changed was the quality of the food. The pizza is the best. Thick and great. The salads, amazing, and fresh. Beer on tap. Just a charming little pizza hang out spot. And thats why we loved it.

OMG, their breadsticks are heavenly. Especially with ranch! It's even better than the pizza. Back when I was in high school, my workaholic father would always bring home a box of these for me every weekend because his office was located so close to here.

The Monterey Chicken pizza is also superb. Big chunks of chicken and oh so tasty garlic sauce...mmmm.

After having not eaten here for years...I finally returned for lunch today and had a slice of the bruschetta chicken pizza. Meh. I should've stuck with my breadsticks!

I have to agree with 'Mike A.' below.
This is my ultimate favorite place to get pizza! Their selection isn't your run of the mill pepperoni and cheese, they have a huge salad bar, a variety of desserts and lot's of choices in regards to drinks, beer and even wine! Love that!!! In regards to price, well you pay for what you get right? You can pay $5 somewhere else and get cardboard or you can pay a reasonable amount and get delicious-ness!
The ambiance here is perfect for that "meet up with friends, casual date" thing. The place is clean inside and out, there is ample seating for a small or large group, the televisions usually display something interesting and the service is wonderful. ;)

Whenever I come home I always request lunch or dinner here with my friends! Really the perfect place to have GREAT pizza, drinks and just hang out.

My only setback... don't come during weekday lunch rush hour (11-1:30). The restaurant is in the middle of several business plazas and is therefore always packed with suits! Otherwise, come by any other time.

i like their Breadsticks, i get them all the damn time, cuz it's so good.
the wings are kool also.
the place gets busy around lunch time so call in if you want your food to be ready ahead of time.
what i dislike about this place is they let people hang outside to just chill and play cards there even if they're not eating. it really sucks when there's no where to sit cuz a bunch of little kids playing cards and have nothing else to do in their life. no offense

i never really noticed how good this place is. i live one block down, my close friend ALWAYS comes here, i'm a happy hour fan, and the pizza is pretty bomb! and i'm never here? i'm stupid lol.

last night, i was starving because i had the fattest hangover (of my life!) and my friend took me here. we ordered a small (my favorite toppings) sausage and pineapple (yum!) it came out in less than 12ish minutes and it was yummy! only thing is they put WAYYYYY more pineapples then they did for sausages. i may be a girl but i need meat damnit!= [[[ customer service was good. it's funny cuz 2 different guys came up to us and asked us how we were doing and if we needed boxes...............at this time i only had pineapples left on my plate and my friend only had crust. HMMMMM sure! i would love to box up these pineapples for a snack later on tonight^_^ haha! jk

this place has plenty of seating, many tv's, it's clean, bathroom is also clean for goodness sakes, the AC seems to be on all the time which i LOVE since pizza joints tend to get pretty stuffy and hot, plenty of parking, and more tables outside! there's also a full salad bar, many beer selections and even desserts, as well. i think i ordered a raspberry cheesecake a few months back? it was yummy^_^

If you live in any of the apartments closeby, (Willow Lake or Woodland Meadow) or even any of the new houses, this is THE spot to get trashed off beer and full off pizza.

You can even walk to PW nearby to pick up more beer for home and some Gatorade and water for the hangover.

I was here at least every other Friday getting watsed and full.

The pizza is great. The ambience is cool with the TVs playing sports and the radio blasting the adult comtemporary hits.

If you can't have the "carb-heavy" pizza, or your friends refuse to eat junk food, a salad bar is provided.

The beer selection is pretty good. They also have wines for you or friends that are foo-foo.

One side note, DO NOT leave your car parked out in the parking lot here and expect to be safe going back to it after hours or in the way early morning/late night. My friend got car-jacked by a knife-wielding (who the F still carries knives?) criminal. Which is why I suggest this place moreso to get drunk if you live in walking distance.

Pizzas have gotten expensive at places like dominios and pizza hut so we decided to get pizza here.  We wanted it to be delivered but I guess deliveries before 5pm need a minimum of $60 or 3 Large Pizzas so we had to pick it up instead.  I made the call and they states it would be ready within 20, and it was.

We got a Large Earthquake for $25, which was about 8 regular slices and it was more like a medium.  For the price I'd expect it to be a little bigger, like two extra slices considering they don't have anything bigger.  The pizza was filled with over topping so it wasn't just cheese and sauce.

I come here so often just to chill, but I've never actually written a review about this place!

This place is legit. I still come here from time to time because I'm always positive I'll run into someone I know. Sometimes I don't even order anything, & just sit in the outdoor seating area catching up with old friends, doing home/officework, drinkin' Starbuck's or Jamba, or just a simple lunch break. This place is always crackin'. The staff members are really people-friendly--hell I'm friends with most of 'em, so I always have a great experience when I'm here.

Food-wise, the pizza is great. It's fresh (I hope), different, & always fixes the cravings. My friends & I ordered the Earthquake one time, & that delicacy did not disappoint! Loaded with toppings, crispy, just the way I like it.

But ironically, I don't usually go here for the pizza. The Bacon & Cheddar Breadsticks are on point. The ranch sauce is good depending on the day (sometimes it's super watered down). But definitely try the breadsticks when you get a chance. & The Buffalo Wings are always good no matter what. Always popular.

Remember that TV cartoon, 'The Weekenders,' and how they always ate at a random pizza joint? I always wanted to have that, & I'm glad Pizza Cali is only about 4 minutes away from my house. Come get some!

I LOVE PIZZA CALIFORNIA!

Not only is the food delicious but the people who work there are so friendly. My parents have been ordering pizza from Pizza California since they first opened and we absolutely love their pizza and breadsticks.

There was a guy who used to work there named Jello... He was also so nice and so friendly (CUTE TOO).

I love the food and the service. Definitely worth every penny.

I lived in the Berryessa area for so long and I never once thought to try this pizza place! But yesterday me and my gf were craving pizza and decided to give it a try. We ordered a medium Frisco pizza on the phone, the person was friendly and said the pizza would be ready in about 15 to 20 mins. Then I was looking through the menu and noticed the pesto bread sticks so of course I had to call back and have a half order. I arrived in the time given and my pizza was handed to me right out of the oven into the pizza box. It was nice and hot! The restaurant inside looked clean and cozy, I def want to go back and dine in. The pizza is a bit pricey but you pay for the quality of the pizza. It was cooked perfectly, it was more of the puffy crust type pizza. Lots of fresh toppings, and the pizza was pretty damn good! The sauce was pretty good itself because we got to dip our bread sticks in them. I guess that's also what makes their pizza taste good. I do have to sya the bread sticks were a bit too garlic tasting for my taste. Medium came with 8 slices, and eating 2 slices and a couple bread sticks filled me up. But having a 3rd slice just means its freaking good so I'll sacrifice by stuffing my face with another slice!

I will definitely go back here again and try the other specialty pizzas. I even think I see some coupons come in the mail for this place so that is definitely a plus for me!!!

I had the large salad, slice of combo and a newcastle (i know, beer lunches rule!). Everything was a good as I remembered it. This pizza was pretty good. I am a big fan of crispy bottoms and crispy thick crust. This satsified those tastes. The cheese used was OK, there weren't a ton of toppings either but all in all not bad at all. The salad bar is pretty well stocked. They have a GREAT selection of beer for such a small location. Less than 5 for a pint... hooray!
All in all, the experience was indeed A-OK. I will come back again.

Pizza California is one of my all time favorite pizza places. I am a HUGE pizza fan!!

We usually order the Earthquake or the Monterey Chicken the veggie is also very good. Normally I would say I like thin crust pizza better then a thick crust.... but here the crust is so fricken good I cant get enough. Its a sour dough crust.... crispy on the outside and soft in the center. Lots of toppings and cheese mmmm mmmm good!

This is a great place to bring a group or at lunch get the salad bar with a slice of pizza. The pizza is never sitting around getting cold. It is a popular place so they are always making fresh pizzas to purchase by the slice. If you order in the daytime they will only deliver if you have ordered a few pizzas.

The staff is always been really helpful and friendly and the place is super clean. I wish I lived closer.

Very nice, mid- to upscale pizza joint. The garlic sauce and pesto pizzas were fantastic--nice change from the usual tomato-sauce-based pizzas. If you have time, better to order your pizza made fresh, since the by-the-slice slices aren't as crisp after sitting in the warming oven awhile. Otherwise, a pretty tasty pizzas. Salad bar was fresh, with lots of choices. I've only been here twice, but it hasn't disappointed me yet! They have spacious seating, new clean facility, ample parking, excellent food and a California decor. A good choice when you are up for pizza, lunch or dinner. I especially like the photos of California scenes on the walls.

I recommend the Santa Cruzer for veggie lovers (comes with thick cheese, olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, zucchinis, and is very hearty) and the Bruschetta Chicken (tastes just like bruschetta, but with chicken, and baked into a cheesy crust).  The spicy buffalo wings are tasty too, the wings actually have a lot of meat on them, and come with ranch and celery sticks.

This place is convenient for my boyfriend and I (they are only a few minutes away for delivery!) and they don't charge us delivery since we're in a new development. However, the pizza delivery is rather slow, it took over an hour to get our pizza and we were starved by the time it arrived. The pizzas make great leftovers though, we ate a couple slices almost a week after we originally ordered them and they still tasted great!

I don't understand why this place is not called Premier Pizza.  The menu, setup, and pricing are all the same.  I went for lunch here and was caught off guard by how uncanny this place is to Premier.  My initial impression, based on the other reviews and pictures posted,  was that this place was more fancy or even more of a sit-down style restaurant.

The pizza is good, not great.  The price and quickness makes it even better for a quick lunch.  However for a meal out on the town, I wouldn't show up here.

I am not complaining, but am more confused.  Going forward, I wouldn't drive the extra 8 minutes to this location during my lunch break when I have a Premier Pizza in walking distance.

i need to try more before i give it 4 stars...
we did a half and half of the frisco and pesto chicken... the frisco was good, but the chicken pesto was ok... ive had it better else were... the crust is great though.. very crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle...

over all, a nice place to grub on some good pizza if youre in the area... the average price for a split medium pizza is $20...

I grew up here.  Beer and pizza with thick crust.  I personally dont like crust at all.

North beach or Golden gate.  thumbs up.
Cheese sticks are why i go to this place.

Oh yeah, the sald bar is nice and fresh.

Great selection on beers too!

The bbq chicken pizza was good, the dough was good, and they have unlimited soda (COKE!). There could have been more chicken, oh well.

I rate this place average, but I'll go back.

I just had to go here the other day to satisfy my craving!!  It's been months since I was in the area.  Little did I know that you can order a whole pizza but split half and half and get 2 different style toppings.  My husband told me.  So for 2 people, we ordered the medium with 1/2 Frisco (pepperoni, mushrooms, salami, olives, sausage) and 1/2 Californian (pepperoni, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and sausage).  Also got a small side salad.  The salad is buffet style with various toppings.  It's nothing fancy, but for some reason, the salad really tastes good too!  After eating here, I was COMPLETELY satisfied!!!!

I have other favorite pizza place, but this one is better than I expected.  I ordered several of their chicken selection, and all of them didn't disappoint me.  If ever I'm craving for pizza, then this is the place where I'm ordering from.

This place is great! I should of reviewed them years ago!

Great location. Great Food. Great Prices. Pizza is always fresh and their salad bar is always stocked and kept clean. Good selection ( The Santa Cruzer is my favorite). For those non-pizza lovers try the wings or have a slice of Cheescake Factory Cheesecake. Overall just a good palce to eat and hang with ample outdoor seating and T.V.'s inside!
