802 S BroadwayFabulously gooooooooooooood gelatos! The closest to real Italian gelatos that I've tasted so far. Actually let me go so far as saying this is the only place in Baltimore that I'll go to for anything in the form of frozen cream, sorbet, etc. The people are so nice every time we go and they are more than encouraging about making you taste all the flavors. It all tastes so good it's so hard to decide! Yes, they are a bit pricy at about $7 for a medium (3 scoops) and $9 for a pint but the ingredients are all top-notch and in turn, a good bowl of gelato indeed! Things I've tried and are very good are: the spicy chocolate, coconut, grapefruit, pistachio, bourbon vanilla and mojito. They also have some coffee with ice cream drinks that I will definitely try next time I'm there. Definitely one of my favorite dessert places in Baltimore!

This is the best gelato I've had since my trip to Florence a couple summers ago. I had the bourbon vanilla and chocolate hazelnut, both of which were amazingly creamy and delicious. I sat outside the place and ate them, while a vagabond-type guy serenaded the little strip of park with guitar-and-vocal covers of classic rock hits like "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Ramblin Man." It was rather blissful.
Bourbon Vanilla gelato + Tangerine sorbet = Ina's orange creamsicle! I love the gelato/sorbet choices they have, except that it takes so long to decide! It's a good thing that the guy behind the counter is always so gracious at letting the customers try a million different flavors before choosing what we want. They also give free tastes of the specialty hot chocolate, which was surprisingly INTENSE and spicy!
Some notable gelato/sorbet flavors are bourbon vanilla, tangerine, white grapefruit, espresso and hazelnut. With the smallest cup (regular, $4.50), you can get two different flavors. With the next size up ($6.50), you can get three. I think there's one larger size, too. Other yelpers are saying that it's pricey, but it doesn't seem to bad, considering the fact that they use all organic and locally-grown ingredients.
Some friends and I went to Pitango after an incredibly filling lunch at Samos, and I thought that I couldn't fit any more of anything into my stomach. But the gelato here is so light and refreshing that it was the perfect finish to a really great afternoon!
They're open late (until 11pm, I believe), so this is also a great date spot, like another yelper said.
Try my orange creamsicle!! :D

I stopped by Pitango while visiting a friend in Baltimore this weekend and was amazed by their selection of gelato and sorbets. I tried a bunch of flavors (the woman behind the counter was super-nice about it!) and finally settled on a cup of half white grapefruit and half concord grape. The concord grape was delicious and the tartness of the grapefruit complemented the sweetness of the grape perfectly! My friend ordered the spicy chocolate and pistachio, which were both very tasty as well. If I lived in Baltimore, I would definitely come here often.
Amaaaazing gelato. Beautiful, chic, modern ice cream shop. A little bougie and expensive, but if you are looking for a delicious treat, this is it. My favorites so far are the pistachio and the mohito.
OMG - mouthgasm, organigasm, delicious!
Finally remembered the name of this little (and I mean little we circled the shops 3 times before coming back to get in a smaller line) gem of a gelato shop. But wait, what would I be doing in a gelato shop?? Getting the world's best sorbet - that's what!! We had the apple, I can' even begin to describe how good this was, wineberry and strawberry.
I have read local reviews that claim this place is pricey, but you know what - I challenge these nay sayers to deal with the costly crap they serve here at Cold Stone Creamery and then complain about cost. Sure it was almost $6 for 3 flavors but hey - its organic and I am worth it - so are you!

This was one of my first experiences with gelato. I believe when I went there, they must have just opened up. I was very impressed with the number of options and the quality of the gelato. The ordering process was a little complicated... I just wanted one flavor, but the server insisted i get more then one - so I obliged. I didn't know that the extra flavors would be more, but that is fine. I wish the portions were bigger for the price, but it was one of the highlights of my failed "vacation" to Maryland.

Pitango offers superb gelato and sorbets, all made with organic, and sometimes very unique, ingredients. The portions small portions will leave you pleasantly satisfied -- the gelato would probably be deadly if too large. The prices are fair for the quality, but a bit steep for Baltimore. You wonder why they chose Fell's Point in Baltimore over, say, Georgetown in DC... oh well, we'll keep all the great desserts we can get!

Great little place on the square in Fells Point. EXCELLENT gelato, twenty plus favors to choose from, with all the usual fruit and nut flavors that you'd expect and some surprises. The Mojito was delicious only lacking the rum, but still provided the required head ache at least in the form of a brain freeze. It's hard not to eat this stuff too fast. Creamy and refreshing, it held together even in the Baltimore heat. It's love. It has the right balance of sweetness and tartness. They say they use nothing artificial. That's nice, but who cares, it's great.
darn. i am not the first. oh well. this is the trend these days. luxury taste and high price. this was one of better i ever had. clean deco and clear taste. too bad fells point is not as good of place. i still like fells point but it could be better. i will come back to thisplace.
