Walk down the stairs just inside the front doors of North Bridge Mall, which lead you down onto Grand Avenue and you will soon stumble upon Pistachios, an amazing little shop full of unique jewelry, glass items, scarves and such. The two women working there were welcoming and warm (on what was a cold day). There are a variety of styles of jewelry so I would say there is something for everyone, though it leaned toward the more streamlined. I really liked the handblown glass cream and sugar sets in different colors that were scattered throughout the store.

The prices are on the high side but for a "gallery" type shop I would expect this. Definitely different items from the average gift or jewelry shop. I will be back the next time I am in that part of town.

I found this store walking around finishing up my holiday shopping and I thought all the items were unique and interesting.  I bought an amazing necklace for my mother from a jewelry designer from Germany.  I received great assistance because the sales person showed me other pieces by the same designer so I could compare.  I have to admit the cutest thing was after they wrapped the gift they put a bag of pistachios in the bag...how cute is that.  The price is a bit expensive so be prepared when you go in there.

Very cute!  They have truly unique and interesting pieces of jewelry.  Not my style, but I still appreciate the artistic quality.  The staff is very friendly and not too pushy.  Every piece has a story to tell!

Beware though... the prices are very high!  Especially for the types of materials used.  Great place if you're buying for someone with a unique edge.

If you are uninterested in mall stores and bored by jewelers row, take yourself to Pistachios for one of the best selections of studio jewelry designer ware around. With strong ties to artisans in Germany and the US, Pistachios offers unique and very stylish rings, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, and just about anything else that you can wear with flair . There is a wide price range, which means that you can find baubles for your baby or a to-die-for engagement rings.

This is one of the most unique jewelry stores in Chicago.  They carry a wide variety of pieces by many different designers.  I frequented their older location on Delaware and bought my favorite ring ever there.  When one of the stones fell out 8 years later, I called them to ask about replacing it and not only were they more than helpful, they even knew the exact ring and designer  I was talking about.  Bottom line...excellent, unique jewelry and gifts and amazing customer service.

This place has things that I've never seen anywhere else...almost everything here would make a good gift, especially to someone artsy.  Definitely worth at least a look.  A little pricey though, but quality and uniqueness come at a cost some times!

This is definitely one of those places i always have to stop into to see what new things they have.. its a little pricey but i always manage to find that one piece i can't live without and have to splurge on.. i'm a ring girl as well definitely have a couple of splurges from here ;)

This is an awesome jewelry store! Everything they have is unique and they carry items made by many different designers. I always check out this place when I need to get a unique gift for someone...and I usually can't help picking up something for myself too!
