I was determined to play some miniature golf-- and I would drive anywhere to find it.  My journey took me here, to Pirates Cove.

I arrived the day after a huge rain storm, so one hole was completely flooded (but they were nice and reduced the golf fee because of that).  The rest of the course was squishy and wet.  I didn't plan very well and wore long pants, which proceeded to get weighed down in water.  I eventually had to roll up my pants because it was only getting worse.

Enough of my complaining-- had I had the foresight to think about how torrential rains would impact a rubber golf course, it would have been just fine.  The course had all kinds of creative holes and I was constantly marveling at the beautiful landscaping and use of the pirate theme.

I will definitely go back with a group of people who love putt putt (and I'll be sure to take a mental note of the near-past weather)!

I've seen this place many times from I85 but never went until recently. We wanted to play some mini golf on our anniversary but originally wanted to go lunar golfing at Discover Mills. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to enjoy the weather so we came here. The course is well maintained and cute, watch out for splashing water. Pretty inexpensive and if you save your stamped score card you get $1 off your next visit.

Even though I got hives driving outside the perimeter, I enjoyed playing mini golf at this place.  The place was clean, had plenty of parking, and the course was in good shape.  The staff was extremely friendly and enjoyed helping our party of 10 twenty somethings.  Their putters are in good condition and the cost was reasonable.  For those with kids, they have a 9 hole kid's course that is easier.

Finding mini golf in Atlanta has been quite the challenge. Anything fun taking up large amounts of space (i.e., go-karts) is always very much OTP, but at the very least it gives you the opportunity to indulge in your chain restaurant craving.

Now, I'm no mini golf connoisseur, but Pirate's Cove was pretty freaking cool.  I mean, first things first, you drive up to a giant pirate ship replica right off of I-85 . . . pirate flag flying and all.  There's a 18 hole and a 9 hole course, and honestly, I was so excited to be there, I don't remember how much it cost a person to play.

You won't find anything resembling a windmill here because the pirate theme here pretty much overrides any opportunity for traditional mini-golf kitch.  There are a lot of water traps, but there are also some easier holes that leave you anxious for a bit more challenge.  Enought pirate paraphernalia is scattered to get the theme, and watch out for the intermittent surprise spurts of water that shoot up from the 'lakes.'

The best part is that the course climbs vertically, so you'll climb up stairs and finally plateau for your last hole on the top of the ship. You'll hardly notice that instead of the wild seas you're surrounded by the interstate and the Gwinnett Place Mall.

Don't leave here without getting your pirate hat. . . and re-purpose it for a makeshift Halloween costume!

I love me some mini golf! Living ITP really limits the venues for such an activity, but I have been to Pirates Cove in Gwinnett several times.  This place is a lot of fun.  There are two different courses and the prices are reasonable.  I had to remove some stars because Pirates Cove literally sits off of I-85.  With the I-85 expansion they had to remove some of the holes.  This is kind of a downer but its still a lot of fun.  Even though its quite a hike out there, there are plenty of restaurants in the area so you can make an evening of it.
