Came here today to do some http://www.Grillaxin.com for a client. Great park for picnic, bbq, and sports. This was a father's day soccer tournament/fund raiser for a local nonprofit and I Grillaxed for about 125 kids and adults. The setting was perfect for this event as there were many kids under the age of 7 and the soccer field was adjacent to the kids playground and bbq picnic area. Piper park also offers nice sand volley ball courts, tennis courts, softball fields, up dated playgrounds and large group picnic areas. Parking was ample and the weather is usually nice.

great place for a casual marin bbq or picnic. my company has done several annual summer picnics here, and several of the sites can easily hold 100 people or more. its a great location for children, as there's a play structure, lots of grass, and some tiny tiny rolling hills (grass) for them to run around on. overall a great place whether in a large group or a small group, for a picnic/bbq when you don't want massive crowds (like in SF chrissy field).
as a plus, the parking lot is fairly sizeable for 50+ cars
