I'm glad Pinot exists, but their merchandise just doesn't suit my tastes.  The owner is very friendly and inviting.  They have some great events.  If I need a gift, this might be a good place to go. But for myself, I don't see myself buying much here.  I've already got a rabbit corkscrew and other basic items I need (glasses, wine rack, etc), so the decorative stuff is all that is left.

I wish PA laws weren't so stupid.  It sucks that they can't provide wine to go with their gift baskets. But I am guessing they could probably give a good recommendation of what to buy elsewhere.

Great store to go for anything wine related. They have an extensive collection of wine glasses, decanters, openers, and books to help add onto your wine knowledge. They even have a decadent strawberry Cabernet chocolate sauce to make your desserts even richer!

Pinot also has some great events. I stopped in for the Philly PAWS event on Friday and they had wine samplings, a band in the back, and plenty of puppies to pet out front. They also have wine classes that are perfect to go to whether your a novice or an expert.

The only flaw to Pinot? It's in Pennsylvania. Therefore it doesn't sell wine itself. D'oh!

This place was great!  I was so excited to find it, though it has a pretty odd location...considering I do not believe there is a state store around it...they have such great things here.  I was really excited to see Reidel stemware sold here in every variation of wine/liquor glass that exists!  I owe my boyfriend a whole new set...I broke them all...well except for one!
They are not cheap though!
Also they didn't sell too much of the quirky, cheap pieces you see all over the place...really quality things.
I'm excited to have a place like this around!

I like Pinot.
I've already procured a handful of funky items from the boutique, both useful (the "Rabbit" corkscrew is seriously worth that $$ price tag, I kid you not) & decorative (a fun wooden retro-mod wine rack).  They seem to have a nice broad selection of quality items for both wine drinkers & cocktail enthusiasts.
And I know when I'm ready to invest in some of those fancy Riedel wineglasses, Pinot will have them & in every shape possible to best suit the type of wine you prefer to have hit your palate.
Pinot usually some has some neat little event going on inside for Old City's "First Fridays" as well.
I have no complaints about the boutique & have found the staff to be helpful & knowledgeable.

This place is a wine afficionado's dream.  They basically sell everything except for the actual wine, from expensive crystal stemware to wine cellars to cigars to those fancy, expensive corkscrews.  The prices are pretty reasonable, although the crystal and such is expensive, which is to be expected.  Pinot has also partnered with Tangerine to offer wine tasting classes on Wed. nights in the summer, and they also have First Friday specials, like live jazz and wine tasting.  This place couldn't be any cooler.  And, as Kimberly P. has observed, the guy behind the counter is really easy on the eyes.

"Everything but the grape" is the tag-line that graces Pinot's storefront windows.  Personally, all I really care about IS the grape.  Pinot has racks, coolers, glassware and everything you need to impress friends over a glass of wine.  I actually read an article about this store and the owners were quoted saying, "We saw a real need for a store like Pinot in Philadelphia for wine connoisseurs and wine novices alike."  I tend to disagree.  There are enough places to find cool novelties to aid one's wine indulging habits without one store dedicated to the cause.

--I recently went to check out if they have changed at all since opening and found them to be closed in the middle of the afternoon during the business hours on the door.  That can't be a good sign.

The guy at the counter was HOT. Sigh. I would come back just because he was so freakin' beautiful. Yea the store was nice. The crystal wine glasses were top quality and the wine corks were very sophisticated but... honestly, I couldn't focus on the store. I was distracted by his beauty. Too bad he was gay...
