7 reviews for Pinole Valley Lanes
A low-key, no stress bowling alley with coupons available on-line for 10 games @ .99 Shoe rentals are $4.25 per pair.
They are cool if you want to bring in your own snacks and are helpful setting up lane bumpers and resetting the video scoring system if you mess up.
Daytime clientèle is small groups of kids with their parents; grandparents with their cool bowling gear showing off how real bowlers do it; and community groups on outings.
Juke box music is up to date and the updated snack bar is quick and easy to get to between frames.
The perfect place for a day out with the kids.

Don't know much about bowling but I enjoyed myself fo sho. The staff was very friendly and patient.
Used to hang out here as a teenager...
Not surprised there have been shootings and more craziness down there..
Don't go on Thurs-Sat nights, lots of trouble.
This is what I hate about modern day bowling alleys. There were too many problems to mention in this quick post but to sum it up, I have been here 3-4 times and will never go back. I now go to Albany Bowl instead.
Here were my biggest issues:
1. Horrible service - took for ever get service
2. No kids balls - the kids were using balls that were way to big. They need more 6 LB balls as I didn't see ONE??
3. Video games were in horrible and mostly broken shape
4. Ordered some food - typical bowling alley fare
The worst part:
Me and an 8 and 11 year old = shoes and games: $52 for two game. Come on - thats more than the movies for less time.
I will not go back!!!
I used to take a bowling class for school here. I also used to be in the kids bowling league. I wasn't very good but I had a lot of fun there. I also went to some fun birthday parties there as a kid.
But as I got older I saw this bowling alley as ghetto and possibly even dangerous. Also the price of a game is way too high considering what kind of customers go there. they have a bar inside of the place full of mostly losers.
Everyone is stuffing their faces with hot dogs. People are showing off their custom bowling balls. This bowling alley turned me off of bowling.
They used to have a great video game section, last time I went it wasn't that hot.
One time I went with my brother and my cousin and we got home and realized my brother still had on his bowling shoes. We laughed so hard. My brother forgot he had bowling shoes on. So we had to drive all the way back to get his shoes. We laughed all the way. That was my best memory there.
We always enjoy going to this bowling alley as a family. The staff were so friendly & accomodating our kids' needs. A staff member even came over to show our son how roll the ball gently because he was throwing it down the aisle too rough. They came over & signed our son up for their little league, as they thought he would benefit as a little pro bowler. On weeknights, there's a rate saver of $5 cover, which makes the shoes $1, hot dogs $1, beer $1, games $1. It was an awesome deal...couldn't beat it! So, my son played so many games that he eventually got bored & went for the arcades.
eh. mediocre. no deals on anything. 2 pool tables.15 lanes? limited arcade games. go to albany bowl!
