They think that their professionalism is showed from their multitasking, like manicuring, padicuring, waxing, and cutting the hair. Maybe they think that they have a good professional experience. But the thinng is how they do it. I went there to do my nails, they polished my nails so bad, so i had to go home and remove my nailpolish. There are so many nail salon for the same price and better service.
I am so confused as to the past reviews listed here. I would have given this place a 1 star were it not for how personable the staff was, but beyond that, no one even knew how to do a french tip on my nails or toes. I went with a friend to get a mani/pedi and ended up with squiggly white tips and 1-layer of toe nail polish, which means it chips really easy. There's much better places than this.
I continue coming to this place even though I've moved out of the area. The owner Kim knows how to keep her customers coming back. She's customer-service oriented, as she provides top notch service and focuses on every need her customer wants. She accomodates the best she can, and advises her staff to do the same. You feel pampered and not rushed, like some places. There isn't a strict policy on their adherence to appointments, so anyone who walks in either waits or jumps right in. It's a full service salon with hair, facials, electrolysis, massages, etc.
OMG this place is the best place to get your nails done!! ask for KIm shes the bestest!
I have an admission to make: I'm a big baby. Getting my eyebrows waxed takes days of planning for me. I first have to build up the confidence to go into a salon, then I have to willingly lay down and let some lady rub hot wax on me, and finally I have to muster the strength not to cry out (a la Steve Carell in 40-year old virgin) with each rip of hair coming out. Not that I'm a bushman with a fierce uni-brow, but still!, it hurts! Then I found Pink Pearl's.
They do a great job. While making my eyebrows look manicured, they still allow me to retain some bit of masculinity within them (read: when I walk out of there I'm not forced to pencil in the area where eyebrows once were). And on top of that, they stroke my ego the entire time! *in broken english: "Oh, very nice eybrow. Very good arch on them. We make it look better! We make it so all the ladies like you"* Thus far most women look at them and wonder if i'm gay, but at least the Pink Pearl's ladies are giving me hope!
Granted, I only go in there every few months and don't do the whole mani/pedi thing, but if I'm going to have someone rip out my hair it's going to be the ladies at Pink Pearl's. I wonder what the Chinese word is for chode waxing? Hmm...
