Yesterday I went here for a birthday manicure (1st choice was sandalwood but they couldn't squeeze us in). We didn't have to wait at all, which is nice. The pedicure and salt scrub was also very nice.

However, my manicure was kind of crappy, plus I suffered a pinky wound from too much skin removal.

But the thing that will make me never return is: 3 people walked in at 6pm with a pedicure appointment. There are only 3 spa chairs and they were all in use. Those 3 people waited for a half an hour and then left in a huff. It was really bad organization on the salon's part. I understand having to wait that long when you drop in, but it sucks balls to have to wait that long when you made an appointment.

I had to stop coming here even though the woman who had been cutting my hair a number of times was nice.  When I trusted her to do a highlighting job she used a plastic cap and kept painfully poking my head trying to get the little strands of hair out of each hole through the cap.  Was highlighting supposed to be this painful?  It was my sad mistake to have her continue the process and I would've felt guilty if I told her that I changed my mind.  After all she knew what she was doing right?  Wrong.  My hair came out awful, it was all uneven and I ended up having 1 to 2 inches of blond tips in the back of my head.  I paid her and got out.  I had my highlighting job corrected a few days later at ID Hair and Beauty, they were much more knowledgable there and did double work to correct the mess that was done at Pink Pearls.  They took one look at my hair and asked did you do this yourself?  If you do go to ID Hair and Beauty, ask for Maria, she's been there for years and now I have found a trustworthy salon.

One thing I know for sure, if you're getting your hair done you better make sure it comes out the way you like it; otherwise you'll end up being really pissed off or seriously disappointed.  And remember, stop the process if you sense something is not going right or if you have 2nd thoughts about their skills.  It's your hair, you have to live with it.  I haven't been back to this salon since.  I would advise that you don't go here either.

I went here a few times to get my brows done and must say I felt a bit uncomfortable in there and didn't like how even though I kept having the same person work on my brows, she would keep on forgetting how they were done the last time and she'd end up doing them completely different. Also I always ended up having a lot of strays and it just didn't seem like they checked their work at the end. Since then I've been going to a place on California between 6Th and 7Th ave called Salon Bella Linda, and Linda who has been doing my brows does a much better job and is a lot more consistent. They price for browns at this place is $8 bucks BTW..but even though Bella Linda charges $10, they do a MUCH better job.

Me and my vagina, being in desperate need of a wax, found ourselves at the mercy of a seemingly nice lady with a very quick RIP.
15 red, throbbing and hairless minutes later, I was pleading with the lady to leave my landing strip in tact.  I was like HOLY CRAP lady!  I didn't ask for a Brazilian!  But, somehow walked out paying for it.

This lady was seriously sketch about the money thing.  Like, she whispered in my ear to pay her $32 IN the wax room.  I asked, should we go to the register?  And she insisted I just pay her right there on the table, my ass print still fresh on the sanitary paper.
I was like, um, okkkay.  And found $35 dollars and some quarters, and expressed my deep regret that I couldn't tip her more.  Then she told me to give her my credit card and she would charge the tip on it.

I was all LADY, you must be out of your mind.  I just gave her all my cash and bounced.  My vagina was slightly traumatized and will not be returning.
Did you hear that hot guys?!  My VAGINA was TRAUMATIZED!!  For all this, I had better get some hot sex this weekend.  For reals.
