2 reviews for Piney Wood Park
Primarily, a dog park that's a couple blocks from where I live. It's divided into several fenced-in areas: a small dog play area, a large dog play area, and a dog-run space. The small dog/large dog sections have both open and wooded areas, which is nice for doggie owners who are looking to escape the heat. There are also a handful of benches. The park has a water fountain for pups and several doggie waste cleanup stations. There are lots of neighborhoods in the area, so it's a popular park, and if you go often, you'll get to know the familiar faces. My min-pin loves coming out here for the open air and space and -- when he's in the mood -- for the social aspect. The park also offers shelters that can be rented out for parties, a just-revamped play-set (for kids, not dogs!), and a few trails.

This is a decent-sized park right in the midst of the Woodlake neighborhood. Some of the local parks are smallish, but this one has plenty of space and parking. Its biggest asset is a fenced-in dog park, but there are also picnic shelters, a nice-looking baseball field, and playgrounds.
