Pine Isle is probably one of my favorite hangouts in the North Woods. I enjoy the bar setting, the people, the lake, and the atmosphere. Always a good place to watch a game or a race. I love going to the Pine Isle and enjoy it very much and they have some great appetizers and homemade soup that is delicious.
However, a negative as well. The quality of food has gone down in the recent year or so. In the past a Pine Isle Burger was a great burger cooked how you wanted it and now it is small and cooked how it is cooked (not they way you want). Also the service has gone down the tubes. The wait staff is slow and rude and I still cannot understand why the staff would stop outside service when the sun is out and people are occupying the tables.
Overall, I love the Pine Isle and will continue to patronize it but they need some work on the wait staff and also on their food.
Oh...why when sitting at the bar do I have to order my food from a waitress on a different tab rather than from the bartender?
