Just went here to try out their 6-month-new ziplines through the rainforest canopies and I loved every minute. The guides were super patient with me (and my fear of heights) and led a great tour through the treetops. 9 lines later and I was still was sad it was over!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff. From the girls that help you through the paperwork, to the guides that answer every question from ziplining to the history of Maui, to those that help with the gear and the short ride back to base camp, they made everything fun and stress-free.

WARNINGS: Be sure to go on a day where the sky is relatively clear as it can get a little messy once the rain starts (I luckily just missed the first drops of rain as we finished). Wear comfortable clothes! Also, make sure you pull into the zipline parking lot--do NOT listen to your GPS as it will lead you into a dangerous one-way road with loose gravel and real potential for collisions with other drivers!

Really enjoyed the 6-zipline Canopy Tour. It's pretty expensive but it was worth doing once. I actually wanted to do the 9-zipline tour but they said it was down for maintenance for January - imagine my surprise when I make my reservation and show up two days later on Jan 11th and they tell me that it will be open the next day - darn!  They did say that I might be able to get a good deal and do the 3-zipline (which is the remaining part of the 9-zipline that I hadn't experienced) but we had already planned for other activities and didn't want to drive up again just for that. Too bad. I wish I could have done that 9th line - sounded awesome and the longest one there!

    10% off for booking online.

Kenoa and Collin were great guides! They were fun, patient, and really enjoyed being with them. They had some nice drinks / potato chip/granola bar snacks at the end.

I can say that I've done it, I liked it, and it's not as scary as I thought it would be, even though it WAS rather scary at the time - the adrenalin does rush through you when you get up there and are ready to take off and then are zipping along. I appreciated their attention to safety. They are well-trained and it shows. But doesn't take away from a fun exhilarating time.

Unless you are really filthy rich, this is something you do once or twice in your life because it is pretty expensive. That being said, everyone should zipline in Hawaii once in their lives. The view is definitely breathtaking and the adrenaline rush is hard to match. Although you spend a solid few hours going through the courses, in reality you are only on the line for 5 - 10 min max. Most of the time is getting set-up, waiting for people to go and hiking to the next course. The guides are very friendly and great people and they do put in a good amount of work to keep people safe and having fun. Great experience all-in-all.

P.S. Make sure you don't skimp and ride the final line. It is the best by far and definitely worth the extra money. One of the longest ziplines in HI, it is the best bang for your buck.

My husband, best friend and her husband, and myself made the trip from Idaho last April and zip-lining was one of the first things on our to do list! We booked online before we came and got a discount. It is fairly expensive, however worth every penny. It was our first time and we all had a blast! Who cares if the snacks are puny and the soda warm. I didn't come for the food. The staff were all wonderful! We loved it so much we are coming back to the island in March and bringing our teenage boys. Go big or go home-meaning DO THE 5 LINE! It is worth the extra $$. OK, I'm done!

My husband and I had the an incredibly fun, exciting time at Piiholo Ranch Zipline back in November 2011 (a few months ago). It was our first time ziplining and even though my husband was afraid of heights, the staff (including Travis and Christian)made us feel really safe. From beginning to end, the whole staff was friendly, talkative, and professional . They were very meticulous and careful. The experience was very exhilarating. We just flew on those zip lines :). We would definitely go back again next time we go back to Maui. It was a bit breezy but so worth it and fun.

I too was (keyword here) deathly afraid of heights, but I knew that ziplining on Maui is close to a once in a lifetime experience, so I decided to conquer my fears and go for it! I was pretty nervous waiting for my turn to go (partly from being so high up, partly from being anxious), but I had a blast once I started going down the lines.

The staff at Piiholo Ranch are outstanding. They crack jokes, make you feel comfortable and are always ensuring that you are safe. The equipment here allows you to pretty much sit down while you're zipping; so you get to be comfortable while you're having fun. They also point out the wildlife to you as you go from line to line. Cows and Deer were our "audience" as we zipped across the ranch.

Don't settle for anything less than the 5 line zip course when you sign up. The first line you do is a test/warmup, while the other lines get higher and longer. However, the view from line 5 was breath taking and incredible.

Also be prepared that you will have to cross a suspension bridge to get to your lines. Nothing too scary, just hope you got good balance! It feels like walking on a boat, is all.

Listen, the bottom line is if you're at all apprehensive about doing this, you shouldn't be. If I can do it, you can do it. It's nothing but fun and speed!

I've always wanted to try ziplining but there aren't many locations on the West Coast. We had a chance to go to Piiholo Ranch which is 45 minutes from Wialea where we were staying and fairly easy to get to.

The crew geared up up with harneses and taught us signals to look out for on how to go faster, slower, and stop. Fairly safe activity but could be safer. No bungee on the lanyards.

We look 4 zipline courses and reserved at 3 pm. I wish we reserved for more ziplines.  The longest one we took was 1,200 feet, however, there was one that is 2,800 feet but we had to schedule the 1 pm reservation to do that one.

There's a really cool suspension bridge that sways left to right as you walk through and cross to get to the first course.

For most of the courses, you have to walk along a steep ramp to get to the tower with the exception of a few that have stairs. Towers are up to 50 feet tall but once on the zipline, you can be 100'+ over depending on the terrain. Ziplining through you can reach up to 35 mph +.

Had a lot of fun and looking forward to ziplining at different locations.

I am afraid of heights. To conquer that I've done bungee jumping, took flying lessons, scrambled up mountains, jumped out of a plane four times and most recently did the THE ZIP LINE.

Anyone who is afraid of heights knows that it's an irrational fear that is the worst to conquer.

Having Nichol on the platform as the first person to reassure me that things are ok is awesome. She's got that great "collateral face." YOU will believe what she says. (Even  I know the lines can pull a fighter jet to a stop. It's that strong. I've done my research) It's still nice to have her to start me off.

I can say among the 5 lines that we did the first line is nothing. It's low and a simple way to test you on the three commands they taught you.

Consequently the lines get longer and higher. What's worst for me than zipping down are the hanging bridge that you have to take to go up to the actual platform. They sway like crazy. Miles is one of the two guys that worked with our group. He had fun swaying the hanging bridge while I'm on it. Aaagh!

KIli is a solid dude that will poke fun at you incessantly if you're scared like me. I was doing better after my first line but the jokes won't stop coming ;) I liked it when he pushed me and gave me that boost on the last and longest line on the state of Hawaii: The 2800 feet. It was epic!

Things go by fast when your zip lining. I wish I can attach my video zip lining down.

When my Husband and I first started talking about vacations and we decided on Hawaii - we knew we had to go zip lining.  we looked into a couple other places, and I am so happy we choose Piiholo zip line.

The staff is very energetic and make great guides on the tour.  Zipping over the trees is really a cool thing.

Our main guide FP (forest princess) was really very cool.  She was knowledgeable and very tuned into everyone's safety.  I felt totally at ease with her leading the pack - and the 2 assistants Sarah and I can't remember the others name, made the trip very enjoyable.

This was my first time to zip line - and I can't wait to do it again.  The harness are very comfortable, and from what I hear it's the only side by side zip line.... which I thought was really cool, b/c then you can experience it with your partner.

The only thing I'd say they need some work on is their snack selection 1/2 thru your zip line adventure.  There drinks are not cold - and the chocolate candy left to bake in the sun was less then desired.  At about 200.00 a person, I expected something better.  at least get a cooler up there or something!!

The first line is just a trial and not to much fun - wait for the last line.... it's where all the action is.  Bring a camera and remember sunblock..... and sunglasses are encouraged.

Over all great experience, not to be missed.

My first time zip lining...loved it.  It was exhilarating because I'm afraid of heights.

The instructors were all very nice and easing.  The hardest part is walking up and standing there waiting to zip line because u get a chance to see how high up u are and crazy things go through ur mind.  Once I took off, all those worries went out the window and i found myself complaining that it didn't go fast enough. HAHA!

Cons - The gear was a little too grimey for me...it all had a funky smell and just looked like a germ infestation.

I think I will try Maui Zip Line Co. next time =)

It was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We received different stories from each person that contacted us. Not only were they rude and disorganized, but they cared very little about trying to accommodate us or that their disorganization caused us not to be able to make other arrangements as this was an excursion that we were both very much looking forward to.

Wow! Get you stuff together. I am sure the trips are good, but God forbid that there is a problem if this is any indication as to how they handle their internal affairs.

Felt compelled to review this after our great experience.

I never though Zipline was for me.  I have a severe fear of heights but my wife really wanted to go.  We only had one day left in Maui.  So I decided to suck it up, be a man and face my worst fear.  I won't repeat all the particulars, as other reviews have done a great job of doing that already.

Listen, I'm not a therapist, but I'm better off after doing this experience with my wife.  I may just have conquered my fear of heights.  It was tons of fun and its safe.  We did the 4 line.  At the end, we wish we had signed up for the 5 or 6 line.  We didn't have a choice since we signed up last minute.  Line 5 is the long one.

The guides are very professional and friendly here.  They don't mess around as safety is obviously their top concern.  The main components of your safety, the harnesses and trolley are very secure and strong.  The harnesses have four straps that hold 275lbs each.  Four is overkill in my opinion, but for first timers, its very reassuring.  Most companies only have one to my knowledge so you can fly backwards and act like a monkey I guess.  I was able to look around just fine.  Three guides went with our group of 12.

If you have problems with heights, look straight ahead and concentrate on what you're doing.  By the end of the day, you will have experienced something not many people get to.  I personally thought the zipline was the fun part since it got me off the suspension bridges and platforms.

Piiholo Zipline also operates in a ranch owned by the Baldwin brothers.  That's very cool.

Bottom line, this experience made our Maui trip and we will be back to try all six lines and possibly do the canopy lines!

PRICEY. MAde reservations thru the phone and was placed on the 230pm slot. Wasn't told that I had to wear closed shoes when reservations were made so  that was a problem when I showed up wearing my CHACOS.
    Oh well!
SAFETY is the staffs #1 concern and this is consistent all thru out the 9 zip course.
An experience worth to try at least once.

(This was my first zipline experience.  My husband has been a few times before in other states.  We went on the 5-line trip.)

This outfit is AMAZING.  I can't praise their staff enough.  Our guides were Ryan, Sara, and Daton.  All three were fun, polite, and professional.  I never felt unsafe at any point during our three hour adventure.

My hubby has been ziplining before and he was very impressed with the equipment.  Instead of just a webbed harness like most other places, they have you don a full body harness that goes over the shoulders and around the legs.

Ryan (the guide that hooked us onto the lines) diligently checked every clip and checked the harness fit on every line every time.  Sara and Daton, the guides who "caught" us on the other side, were efficient and friendly.  The three of them were playful and seemed to genuinely enjoy working together.

The views were breathtaking.  We soared over rainforest and streams, and even got an ocean view!  To get to the last line, a four-wheeler drove us up a hill to an amazing lookout point where we got to unwind and enjoy the view before zipping over half a mile over pools where Hawaiian royalty bathed.

    I am officially a zip-line fanatic.  Thanks, Pi'iholo Ranch!

My husband and I used an Expedia Local Expert at our hotel to book our 9 line canopy tour.  At first, we had planned on booking with a different company but that company was booked.  We decided to trust the local expert and went with Pi'iholo Ranch.  What a fantastic decision!!!
I'm not the best with heights but Travis and Johnathan made me feel comfortable right away.  They spent time not only getting to know everyone on the tour but also constantly checking out the environment and our surroundings ensuring our safety above all else.  It calmed what nerves I had immediately.  They would see things on the other ziplines, animals in trees, etc. that no one else spotted because they were constantly looking around.
On the tour, Travis would go ahead to "catch" us on the other side as well as test out the zip before we went.  He could tell if the zip was running slow or fast and suggest we come down the line in a position that would either help speed us up so we wouldn't get stuck or help slow us down so we wouldn't get hurt coming in to the next platform.  The way they entire thing was run was extremely professional and safe.
The zips started out "short" and got longer as the day progressed.  The final zip on the tour was the most thrilling.  You go slower on it because of it's length and have to grab a rope at the end to get pulled it.  It was an intense way to end the trip but I loved the thrill of it.
Our experience was a great one and I would reccomend you try them out.  The price was comprable to all other zips in the area (if not slightly cheaper than some) and you will not be disappointed.

Piiholo Ranch Zipline Rocked!  For our one year anniversary, my husband and I decided to fly over to Maui from Honolulu for the day just to go to Piiholo Ranch and zipline!  It was a blast!!!

We had a great time and wish that there were a zipline on Oahu...although, I don't think that any zipline on Oahu could ever come close to the breathtaking beauty and scenery that we experienced in Makawao, Maui and Piiholo Ranch!!

I did a lot of research on the different zipline companies on both Kauai and Maui...and Piiholo had the best reviews and I would have to agree wholeheartedly that they get 5 stars!!

Our guides were Al, Adam and Mike.  Al was pretty freaking funny as our "strapping in and up" guy!  Adam, being a conversationalist during the week, had some great information on the surrounding areas of Makawao and Haleakala and Mike was really funny too.  Thanks to Bren for the ride up the mountain for our last zipline of the day!

Our excursion took 3 hours and flew by much too quickly!!  We signed up for the 5 Line Adventure and the last line was fantastic!  I can't wait to go again!!

We drove down to Paia after ziplining and had some fantastic gelato!  The Paia Fish Market restaurant was given some good reviews by our guides...but we were still full from breakfast...but the gelato was the best I have ever had and was nice, cool and refreshing.

The only drawback to the Piiholo Ranch Zipline Adventure would be that there are no restrooms...only 3 port-a-potties and a place to wash your hands....other than that....F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C experience!!

Staff even kept an eye on Gma for us while we zipped for 2.5 hrs. Money well spent - the last zip is the best/longest by far! 40+ mph:)

These guys rock! Our instructors were so easy going and fun, that you forget how scary the ziplines could be.  And it even rained on the day we went, which made it even more adventurous.  When it began to pour, one of the guys brought out raincoats.

I highly recommend this activity for groups or couples.  The time goes by so quickly, you'll be sad at the end of your session.

Holy Shit! Was this ever fun!!!!  I have never been zip-lining before and to be truthful I was a bit nervous. I knew my husband really wanted to do this so I thought I would do it right and do some research.  The people on Yelp really liked this place so I called and made reservations for the 5-line zip tour.

We saved this to the last morning of our trip and boy did we ever have fun.   I can't wait to come back to Maui and do this again!!

The staff was so amazingly down to earth.  We had so much fun with our guides and the group we ended up with.

It's a little pricey but heck you only live once and when you do something you should do it well.  That is what this business does well.    I loved the fact that they had multiple zip-lines so you don't have to wait for each and every person in your group to zip-line.   I was able to always go with my husband at the same time.

The 5 line course takes 2 hours to complete.  We saw some beautiful country side during our adventure.   If you have never zip-line before I would say you definitely need to come to Piiholo Ranch as these guys are great.

My wife and I just recently returned from our honeymoon (tear) and have to say that Piiholo was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.  We were running late for our 11am appt, and theyre on a very tight schedule (have to leave on the dot).  We called them to let them know we were running about 5-10 minutes behind, and they were very accomodating.  They told us that they wanna give everyone the opportunity to partake.  Now thats great customer service!

What helped us choose between them and the other options were:

(for me) - the 5th zipline...about 1/2 a mile!  the longest side by side zipline in all of hawaii!

(for the wifey) - being able to zip down together.  this also was a must for her because i dont think she would have done it alone...

Since Maui is most known for honeymooners, i'd say its definitely smart of them to have side by side ziplines.  Our guides, Courtney and Bren were really cool and very informative.

P.S. Be sure to charge your camera battery...you're gonna definitely wanna take some pics...and maybe sneek in a video during a zip ;).  One of the other couples on our tour had their ipod nano video and used their arm band to take the video.  Very smart if you ask me.

    ENJOY!

By no means am I thrill seeker. Quite the opposite, actually, as my fear of heights keeps me away from the rooftop deck in our apartment. But when in Maui this summer, it was my first opportunity to try zip lining and I took advantage. And I made my boyfriend go with me. Wow! That's really all you can say after sailing down a line at 40 mph over the rainforest. Well, that and "Wheeeeee!"

The drive from Kaanapali to Makawao was very scenic. Well, it was for Mike because I slept most of the way there. We started our day with a nauseating tour up the Halekala volcano, then we wandered around the cowboy town of Makawao. All the while we were convincing ourselves that we were brave enough to try zip lining. The conversation went something like this:
"If you die, can I have your iPhone?" or "If I pee my pants, will you laugh at me?"

We really had nothing to fear because the staff at the Piiholo Ranch took great care us. They provide a 30-minute training session (if you were to yell "starfish" right now I would jump up and assume the position) and they put plenty of safety gear on you, including a very sexy helmet and harness. Once hooked up to the line, there is one staff member at the top and two more at the bottom to make sure you have a safe ride.

Like the other reviewers, we did the 5-line excursion. The first line was sort of a practice, as it goes over a field of goats. But starting with line #2, you were sailing over the jungle. By line #4, we thought we were experts. After the fourth line, the staff rounds you up in a truck and takes you all the way up a huge mountain where line #5 starts. That one is the Big Kahuna...well, I don't think they really call it that. That was my own interpretation.

Line #5 is the longest - 1/4 mile long and 350 feet high. Over a big valley. *gulp* The boyfriend and I went first because I really did have to pee and was actually afraid that I might wet myself. We raced down that line like it was nobody's business. The adenaline was flowing so much that my hands and legs were shaking way after we were done. But it was a good shaking!

I can't wait for another opportunity to try zip lining! It's a fun and safe activity for all-ages. In our tour, there were college kids and their parents - both had a an equally good time. Even for someone who is afraid of heights, it's not a death-defying experience. It's basically like swinging on a swing. Just a little bit higher off the ground :)

The main reason why we felt so confident about the trip was because of the staff at Piiholo. Even when we were about to fling ourselves off a big ass mountain, we were never worried about the competence of the guides. If we died, it was our own fault!

Totally rad time. Totally recommend. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

    Aloha!

I just returned from a vacation on Maui. My sister and I went to Piiholo Ranch to do the 5 zipline adventure. Booking online, it cost the two of us $350, which is reasonable (this includes the discount you receive if you book online). This was our first zipline experience. Although Piiholo Ranch offers four and five-line tours, there are actually six different ziplines. The two longest lines, 1400' and 2800', are only included as part of the five-line tour. At it's highest point, the 2800' line is suspended over 800' in the air. As the longest zipline on the island, this is what drew us to Piiholo Ranch.

Although I am unable to compare Piiholo Ranch to other companies, I had a wonderful experience.

Frank was our guide and did a great job. My little sister (15) is slightly afraid of heights and had some trouble letting go on the first 3 platforms. He was super nice and understanding and cheered her on and said he was proud of her along the way :) By the last (highest and longest) line, my sister was excited and decided that we should go first. She came full circle :)

Frank explained the process very well in the beginning and I felt safe in his hands as well as in the hands of our other 2 guides (receivers). He explained the technology and the mechanics of the harness and the trolley in layman's terms.

However, you do have to walk around a bit and carry your trolley with you.  The trolleys are pretty easy to carry - you put them on your shoulder like you would a purse.  It was fine for us, but I can see how it might be difficult for some (people who cannot easily lift 12 lbs).  We did have to walk a bit, but it wasn't uphill or anything.  For the last line, you are picked up at line 4 and driven up to the top of the hill.

Once again, the tour at Piiholo Ranch is more like a gathering of friends. Frank and our other guides, knew all nine of our names by the end of the first zip. They were also very helpful and gave recommendations about the island. The staff at the front-end running check-in were also very friendly and offered us coffee and tea.

Beforehand, I called and asked how long the 5-zipline tour would take. I was told 3 hours. We started at 11am and were back at the office at 2pm, right on time. It didn't seem long at all. We all talked in between lines and enjoyed the brief walks through the ranch to the next line. Also, after the third line, drinks and snacks are provided. Frank also explained about the Hawaiian ecosystem and pointed our native trees on the ranch and explained that the Eucalyptus trees are very invasive and are bad for native species.

I loved that this ranch had the dual lines so that my sister and I could go at the same time. It made it a group activity. Plus, my sister felt reassured with me letting go at the same time - she wasn't on her own.

When you take the tour, you also get to know the people that go up with you. Everyone takes pictures and videos of each other. One couple on our tour was of their honeymoon. Another was visiting Maui on vacation. It was really fun to get to know everyone. Plus, everyone cheers each other on. No one could believe how calm my sister was. They were all encouraging and clapped for her after the first few lines.

As for the experience of ziplining, it is amazing. You glide through the air and it feels breezy and peaceful, like you are floating through the countryside. I would highly recommend doing it. The fifth line begins at a high elevation and the view was beautiful. We could see the ocean, rainforest, and the base of Haleakala.

My sister and I had an incredible experience and I highly recommend this tour.

Just returned back from our Maui vacation last week.  My husband, son and I did the 5 line zip tour offered at Piiholo Ranch.

This was our third time ziplining together (5th time for my son).  Overall it was AOK.  Our other experience ziplining was using the Ziptrek tour company at Whistler.  Ziptrek and Skyline Adventures (another maui zipline company) seem to both use the single harness system.

Here are some key differences in our experiences b/w the two companies

1)Piiholo ranch uses a dual harness system vs a single harness used by Ziptrek.  This harness could be safer(not sure since i'm not an expert).  However, since it is dual harness, you can not do cool things like turn or zip down backwards.  You also have to haul this around the whole tour and it was more cumbersome than the single harness setup

    2)   Piiholo offers dual lines.  This is nice if you want to zip side by side with someone.  Ziptrek is single line.  Generally it wasn't important to us since our weight dictated how fast we were on the lines, so we ended up zipping at different speeds anyway.

    3) Piiholo tour ran slower.  This was due to the fact that to "dismount" at the end of each line, due to the height at the bottom of the line. Your guide had to climb with you up a ladder and disconnect you from the line.  At ziptrek, the line height was not an issue and the dismounting process was much faster.  Overall more efficient use of time.

    4)  Piiholo tour offers the longest line in Hawaii (over 2000 feet).  This was line 5 and the best line.  However, lines were not as fast as with Ziptrek.  (where we reached speeds of over 40 mph on their longest line)

    5) Guides were solid, knowledgable and friendly.  They started at 10 and we finished just after 1pm.  They also offered snacks mid tour which was nice.

Overall, it was a good experience.  It was our second choice behind Skyline and ended up being decent.  If you have never zipped before, I think you would really like this tour.  If you had, (like us), I'd definitely go with (skyline) as a first choice and piiholo as 2nd.

Note: kapulua adventures also offers ziplines, but i have no experience with that company

Piiholo Ranch Zipline ... above Makawao ... my wife & I throughly enjoyed our experience.  Perfect for us "rookies".  I recommend everyone to purchase the 5 line.  Number 4 goes over a deep canyon ending at intimidating rock wall.  Number 5 you "zip" 660 feet over a canyon and it's a mile long!  ..... if you purchase the 4 line ... You don't get to do the canyon.... instead Number 4 goes a different direction over a meadow....

So much fun! Thrilling but very safe and not scary. We did the 4 line and it was great but I wish we'd done the 5 line. My mother who was HYPERVENTILATING before hand did it all with the help of the great guides.

we went there on short notice of less than 24 hours, and did the 5 zipline tour at 8 am in the morning. add 10 extra minutes t get there, as there's a lot of traffic through Makawao and school buses. The staff was easy and fun, and even though I had some trepidations standing on the platform of the first line, I got over the butterflies, and took the plunge, and it was FUN. It got better and better, the ziplines got longer and longer, and the last one was 2,800 ft. A real blast. You have to be in decent shape, having to climb to the towers with about 20 lb of gear, but it's totally doable and awesome. Thanks to the great staff: Luis ( you rocked! ), Casey ( hi-ho fellow Oregonian ), Bren and Jen

This is my first Yelp review (after reading and using numerous reviews on this site).  First off, the zip line experience at Piiholo is amazing.  It was well worth the price, and I highly recommend the five lines.  The staff was very helpful, and funny.

I'm by no means a zip lining expert.  This was my first experience with zip lining since the 6th grade, but I loved it.  My girlfriend loved it.  The whole group I went with loved it.  The zip lines are state of the art, so I felt secure when riding.  The first line is very short, but it's used to make sure everyone knows the signals the staff uses to have you speed up or slow down.

The fifth line, and longest, was awesome.  All the lines seemed very long (minus the first), and the staff paces the adventure so you don't feel rushed.  You go two at a time, so it's nice for couples or family.  They had snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) on the 3rd platform.

If you go to Maui, and you want some adventure in the hills, this is the place to go!

Here's reasons why I gave them 3 out of 5 stars:
    1) No bathroom facility. The bathroom is port-a-potty outside, with no place to wash your hands.
    2) Drinks at the mid point were warm. So be prepared to drink warm soda.
    3) One of the staff member (name sounds like canoe), made an "uncool" remark and gave you that uncomfortable look when you pull out your camera to video the run. He will tell you that he'll let you use your camera to video the run, but you had better follow directions from the staff at the other end of the line or else be removed from the property. I thought this remark was NOT COOL, especially, when prior to the zip lining, the tour guide will explain the do's and don'ts.

Other than those 3 items, the zip line was ok and safe.  The  first run was about 100 ft above ground and considered a practice run, the other 4 four runs were great, fast, however, scenary, was same below.

Let me start off by saying that both my wife and I are afraid of heights so we decided to go zip lining.  Great idea, right?  We both had trouble doing the first line which is the easiest one.  The toughest part for us was the climbing up the swinging bridge and waiting at the top for our turn to go.  All of the instructors definitely took all safety precautions and made us feel very comfortable (at least they tried to).  Did we both have a blast?  Absolutely.  Would we do it again?  F*ck No!!

This was the highlight of our trip. I did my research (as always) before choosing to go with this zipline tour. There was a total of 4 of us who went and we were concerned about safety since it was our first time. I was also concerned about the weather and I know that this part of this island doesn't get AS windy or wet as the other zipline locations. We chose to do the 5 ziplines at 11am. It drizzled a little bit right when we began but sure enough it got sunny pretty quickly. The first zip you can go 4 at a time and the rest were 2 at a time. I think it was a little tough to walk up the ramps while holding your harness equipment, but zipping down the lines were a BREEZE!  Even if you're afraid of heights, you will enjoy it. The equipment and the guides make you feel safe. Keep your eyes open so you can enjoy the gorgeous views. Diego, Bren, & Jared were our guides and they were GREAT!

husband and i went on our honeymoon.  we decided to reserve the 4 line/2 hour adventure.  it's a great excursion for people who have never gone before.  i never felt unsafe and we had such a great time.  it also helped that we got to zip down together on the two parallel lines.  my only wish is that we got to see more variety.  it felt like we just zipped back and forth through the same course.

Great place hidden in mountains below Haleakala!  Had a great time there with a great staff that ensures your safe and that you have a great time.  Did the 5 zipline course and each one was amazing with views of Maui.  I would recommend all visitors to Maui try the piiholo zipline,  I am from Oahu were we don't have these kind of adventures.

Wooohooo! This is as good as it gets :) We did many different things on the island and this by far was the best. We had a group of 6. I was scared but so glad I did it. I think I cried on the first zipline. LOL But after that was so excited for the next ride. We did all the Zipline's. Zipline 5 is totally worth the extra money it was the best by far you also get a great view from the top. Our guide Forest Princess was really good I was so amazed how confident and graceful she was at such high heights. Great fun all around! I will never forget this experience.
