My mother and I were traveling the HWY 101 Coast and Florence was one of our stops. We arrived later in the evening, not having reservations, and was surprisingly greeted by two wonderful staff. (They even had fresh baked cookies waiting! :) They were very easy to talk down in price (originally $159/night) since it was September and later in the evening with rooms still available. They were also very helpful with questions we had.
The hotel is beautiful (for a BW) and has such an awesome view of the river. The rooms were nice (again, we had a great view of the river) with a fridge, microwave, huge bathroom and the added touch of bottle water and mints left behind!
Continental Breakfast was not the best but definitely not bad at all. We had plenty to choose from.
This was our first hotel stop on our road trip from WA to CA. After a long day of driving and sightseeing we arrived at the Best Western. We were greeted by a very warm caring hotel staff and warm cookies, perfect for the kids. The hotel was just what we needed, clean, comfy with internet and a beautiful water view.
What we did not like was the coffee, BLAHH! Lucky there was a local Starbucks; the breakfast buffet, BLAHHH. Egg omelets made with horrible quality ingredients and brown and serve sausages. They did have white toast and pastries, cereal, instant oatmeal and waffles that you can make yourself. It was just not our thing.
Overall, we had a great night stay. The check in staff made the hotel!
We're staying here on our trip from CA to WA. The room has a nice view of the water and mountains. They have Cable and HBO, WIFI, microwave, small fridge, hair dryer, and coffee maker. The room is clean and they have a free continental breakfast. They are doing the "green" thing by asking if you want your sheets changed or if you want your towel washed, if you are staying here for more than one day. My only complaint is that I can hear a dog barking below us...so, good for pet owners, bad for the people staying next to them. They have the extra chain door lock, which is nice.
Overall it is a nice place to stay. Oh...and they give you Andes Mints on your pillow (0;
