NoOooOOoo, say it ain't so!  This place can't be closed.  Doh! There were maybe 3 of these clearance centers in California, and all were in SoCal...

Last time I came into town, upon picking up the rental car, the attendant asked me where I was off to and gave me the strangest look when I said Pier 1.  But, damn! It was right next door to the Hertz rental pick up.  It was always fun to shop here and I never new what bargains I'd encounter.  

Nadine N had it right - it was all about the thrill of the hunt.  Now I will have to hunt for a thrill elsewhere.

I love a bargain so I like coming here to hunt for one. This Pier 1 is a clearance store so it's a little hit and miss. Don't come here if you are looking for something really specific, come here for the adventure. Maybe you'll find the perfect vase or the cool pillows you were eying at Pier 1 last summer for 75% off. Or maybe you won't. It's the thrill of the hunt, baby! My best find thus far was a $125 side table for $25. Fun times.
