8 reviews for Pico Rivera Golf Course
I have played courses that cost 250.00 dollars this course is a great course to play a quick round hone your short game .
play early during the week as a resident I pay 5.00 dollars sometimes play by myself hit as manny balls that I want to. the course is not manicured around the edges but plays well otherwise.
ps you cant drive by and see the course
What can I say about this place! When I used to live in Whittier, this was my hang out place. Come early in the morning or play under the lights. It's a fun 9-hole that has a few challenges. With a couple of elevated tee boxes. Yeah, you might see beer bottles laying around and a few kids chasing the skunks. But I have always had great memory's here. The executive nine hole course plays to a par 29 and measures 1504 yards. The practice facilities include a covered driving range and two putting greens. Golf Course and Driving Range lighting allow for play and practice until 10:00 p.m.

Ah Golf!
You love it or you hate it.
You cherish the good moments!
You slam your 9 iron into the cement and bust the shaft in half the next moment.
Yeah all that has happened before!
Pico Rivera was the very first golf course I ever played.
Ooppss I meant attempted to play at.
It was 15 plus years ago and my friend talked me into trying out this great new game that he got hooked on. GOLF!
We came to the course paid for our round of golf. Rented Clubs since both my friend and I are left-handed. They had a huge selection.
4 clubs.!! That's it!!
Tee'd off from the first hole. I still remember I shanked my first golf shot ever.
Then from the loud speaker comes! "Excuse me Gentleman! You can't share golf clubs on the course." Huh? What? anyways so we went in. Got a Credit to play the course some other time and left.
We did end up at a private military course in Los Alamitos where my friend who was still in the national guard got us civilians in. All the left-handed clubs that we wanted and a great round of golf to boot.
Yes I was hooked from then on. Bought my first set of clubs 2 days later and the rest is history you can say.
Fast Forward 15 plus years later and this course hasn't changed much. It was actually pretty well kept this time. I had not played here in probably a few years and I do recall a few other times that the course looked pretty run down. Fairways were not bad and the greens were playing really slow. I actually shot pretty good today. a 34 round! Which isn't to bad for me. It is I guess what you call a Pitch and Putt course. 7 par 3 holes and 2 par 4 holes. The course can be a little tricky because you are hitting off of AstroTurf Mats but that is half of the fun.
Will I keep coming. Probably! I am a hacker anyways. I gave up that dream of becoming a great player 10 plus years ago. hehe
Enjoy if you dare!
Cheers!

This is a tore up little 9 hole spot. 2 par 4's, 7 par 3's. You tee off of dingy green mats. Lots of bare areas on fairway. Rough has some areas that are good, yet some are just dirt, and one area is a driveway. Some greens are a little messed up. Might be a good place for a local who is learning the game, or else I'd recommend finding another spot to play.
Great place for beginners. Gets a bit crowded on the weekends but still good. After a round of golf nothing says like a good drink at the bar. The bartender knows how to make great drinks not your typical weak drinks. No its not a dump. As of two months ago the bar has closed.

Had a little Father's Day golf extravaganza Sunday here at Pico. Beautiful day. When we checked in, the starter gave us resident rates...good sign. With all that extra $$$ I saved I ducked into the snack bar and got a breakfast burrito...could have been the best I ever EATED...this sumbitch even had kielbasa in it!!! In friggin Pico! Another good sign. Our 5-some got right on...teed off on the 1st and landed on the green! Yessir. At hole 6, bellied up to the drink cart and got a couple cold "lemonades" (no Newcastle, oh well). I finished my round with a birdie. This place is like a ghost town when the Raiders are playing, so if you time it right, you'll get thru in 2 hours, easy. Nine holes of solid fun!

Eww..I drove by and saw the mess..don't get me wrong I'll play golf anywhere but this place was a dump. Try elsewhere.
When I was in junior high, I got into golfing. I used to go with my brother and his friends to this nine-hole golf course. It's not terribly challenging--I'm not good, but I know it's an easy course--and some parts of the fairway feel like the middle of the desert, but it's a fun little course. This is the first place I ever shot par on a par-four hole (a dogleg, no less!), and the driving range is reasonably priced.
