Review from Adrienne H.

Picnic Point will always hold a special place in my heart.
My boyfriend and I used to pack and eat lunches there with a bottle of wine before we even got together.
I have a lot of great memories about it and it remains one of our favorite spots to get away from it all, if even for an hour or two!
(Then there was that 1 time when we went down there this summer with a bunch of friends and brought our beer bong, but that's another story :)Listed in: Where the Muk is…

It's a lovely location - view wise - and my dogs found plenty of things to sniff, dig at and roll in. There's really no where for a long walk, however; just poking around. Saw some interesting shorebirds and two crusty old guys feeding bread to seagulls. You must traverse this overland bridge thing over the railroad tracks to get to the shore and I managed even though I'm profoundly afraid of heights. If you're planning a picnic, bring a blanket. There's only a couple picnic tables.

This is a great little park not too far off 99 in north Lynnwood. It is right on Puget Sound, with a nice beach sandwiched between the BNRR and the water. There is a concrete bridge over the tracks that access the park.
There are several picnic tables, a couple of BBQ pits and a nice beach to walk on. It is not uncommon to find folks fishing either by fly or spinning rod. During the fall you have a chance of catching a salmon, the remainer of the year, cutthroat trout, dolly varden, small flounder and the like. Heck, fishing is how I learned about this park!
Word to the wise, the park is open sunrise to sunset, and the police lock the gate. Be too early you will walk, too late, and the walk is a good bit longer.Listed in: Parks Worth Driving to

Nice little local park with great views. Great beach to enjoy at low tide and my dog loved it. The only draw back is it is right next to the railroad tracks but there is a walkway over above them so that's really not a problem either.

Great fun for the kids especially at low tide. Lots of shade for our heat waves. Very peaceful In the off season.

I love this beach, mainly because it's small and not over populated. Beautiful location to sit and enjoy the sunset or have a picnic or even let the kids play in the water. I've brought all my friends here at one point or another and on warm nights, I've gone just to read a book til the sun sets.

This is a goodie! Tucked back in a residential area, but super easy to get too. When we lived in Washington, we went to this beach at least 2 times a week. Bring a lunch, grills are available too if that's your thing. It is peaceful and you can usually catch some pretty killer sunsets.
