2 reviews for Piazza Italia
I think if not for Piazza Italia, I'd have gone insane living on the shore. What a great place! Located in the Holmdel Commons, they are situated on "restaurant row", next to The Turning Point and Kobe.
The personalities alone in this place make you want to come back. Don't bother wearing a Yankees hat in there, as these guys are straight up Mets fanatics.
Their food is wonderful. From the margharita pizza to the white pie, to the chicken marsala pizza, their pies are a cut above the rest here on the shore.
If you want a real treat try a sub - our favorite is the salami and cheese. Simple but made on excellent bread. I've told them repeatedly I think its one of the best subs I've had.
Last but not least are their dinners. I'm a takeout fanatic due to my commute to and from Manhattan daily. Their spaghetti and meatballs...wow. I could eat it 24-7.
Great place, great people and great food!
Located in the Holmdel Commons, Piazza Italia offers typical pizza options at the counter with a more intimate sit down area through a separate entrance. Prices are definitely higher than other pizza joints in Holmdel and Route 35, but the food is still good. If you don't have deeper pockets, I think there are better places to get more bang for your buck.
