Pho is probably my favorite food ever, and I am pretty picky about it. For me, Pho Ha is in contention for the my favorite pho in Sacramento, next to Pho King right down the street.
I like my pho full of flavor, and cheap. This place satisfies both criteria, and fills you up fast.
In addition to the pho, the rice plates with the grilled meat (usually pork for me) are amazing as well. I'm always torn between which to get.
You can get out of here stuffed for under $10 including tip if you just get a bowl of pho, a few extra bucks if you have room for a thai tea or a three-color drink (HIGHLY recommended!).
The service is very simple, but good. Water stays filled and they bring you anything you need.

You can catch me here at least once a week!

Like always... I wasn't feeling pho but someone wanted it so I had to choose a place. I searched for pho and Pho Ha came up with a 4stars. I assumed that it would be good but I was in for a huge let down.

We came here with my lil brother and another friend and they all ordered pho. We ordered pho dac biet, pho tai, and the number 8... Forgot what it was specifically. The food came out quick... But the quality was just bad. The soup was very bland and oily... Just looked really fattening. We all agreed that we should've just save time and gas and ate at pho Hoa Viet in Davis.. It wouldve been much better.

I ordered the Pho ap chao(pan fried noodle) and it was just as bad. I forced myself to eat like half and just threw the rest away. Ive had much better in San Jose.

I won't be coming back here again. I came during lunch hours and they were only 2 other party besides us. The place is pretty big too.., I  don't know if it evert gets busy.  I wouldn't recommend this place... Just go down the street to Pho King.

After licking the grease away from my lips I realized the broth was lacking a lot of depth. Considering they are at the epicenter of vietnamesdom, their quality should be higher to stay competitive. This place was alright, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

(I just realized by original post was for the wrong pho place)

Yes!!! I finally found an amazing beef pho in our area!!! After month's of searching for the most notable to prove to my husband why pho is the ultimate comfort food for me, many disappointments have been had.

After reading reviews, I was determined to try this restaurant. I ordered small #4 which seemed to have everything I like in my beef pho (well done flank, rare flank, tendon, tripe, thinly sliced fat). Hubby had the same.  It came out fast and piping hot. They have every condiment you would need by your side to dress it up yummy. Judging pho is almost like judging the whole possible relationship based on the first kiss. From my perfect first bite of the soup I knew...This. Is. The One. I'm in love.  Every bite tasted as good as the first bite!!! My husband may not have been as enthusiastic as I am, but he did say it was really good and would eat it
again (in my book, this is a win!!).

Usually I judge a good Asian restaurant based on how crowded the restaurant is. Jam packed crowded is always a good sign. But I am proven wrong with this place. It was completely empty.  The broth was so good, I will make an exception. Maybe I will just keep this rule for sushi places...

Can't wait to come back here!!!

I went to this place after reading Kaili J.s review and her high praise of the Pho.I have got to say I was not disappointed.
I arrived early evening to find the place still quite empty with only one other couple enjoying the food. I was planning on getting in and out quick with a take away order.
I ordered 4 items from the menu, a large Beef Pho (No. 1), Spring rolls, fried rice and their special- to be honest I wasn't too sure what the special was except that it contained meat and vegetables and rice noodles.

For $29 I was pretty happy. When I finished paying I was presented with a cup of tea while I waited. This gave me the opportunity to sit down and take a moment while I waited for my food to be prepared. While I sat the other couple were presented to their delight with a plate of fresh watermelon by a small boy who I assume was the waitresses son.

The service was terrific, fast and friendly.

When I opened my order I was ecstatic to find they had separated out the ingredients for the Pho as well as the special noodle dish. This meant that my food was fresh and the texture was perfect. The fried noodles from the special dish didn't get the chance to get soggy and I was able to construct my Pho just the way I like it-
I am of Kaili's school about keeping it fresh and pure with just a splash of lemon juice and the fresh herbs- easy on the bean sprouts.

This was hands down the best Pho I have had in America and I will be back without a doubt.
The other food held its own also. The fried noodle in the special was a delightful surprise and the spring rolls were fresh and possibly the best presented rolls I have ever seen- all the more so that they were take out.

There is a lot of room (w/ two TVs) and is always very clean. Service is prompt and their Pho is delicious! I have been here 3 times already since I first tried it a week and a half ago.

As an avid pho eater I really don't know why more people haven't discovered this place! Everytime I go it's super empty! And this place, hands down, has the best pho in Sacramento. Good, delicious, clear, light broth with a good amount of noodles & meat and a variety of condiments! NOMZ. Way better than a lot of the other pho shops I've been to in town. The staff are nice but not overly friendly, if that's what you're expecting. but hey what do you expect? it's a pho shop, it's meant to be fast food--you're in and then you're out! And you really are in and out. Maybe it's because they're always empty, but they get the food to you quick.

ahh. so delic. getting hungry just thinking about pho... they have good vermicelli and bbq too :)

    Downsides--cash only.

Another upside--there's a cool aquarium next door :)

This place has completely won me over. I'll be honest, my heart wasn't really into the last 4 star review I wrote for them but this time it is, no doubt. A part of me wants to keep quiet because I love this place and I like not having to wait for a table but

    ahhh

    they deserve it.

They're beef pho is really good and actually tastes of beef and other spices and AHH!! Lately the service has been really fast and the broth has been piping hot. If you come here order the pho and please PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF FOOD! Don't destroy your bowl of pho but drowning it in sriracha and hoisen sauce. Leave them out and use the fresh jalapenos for spice and add just a bit of lemon and greens to your bowl. Be careful with the amount of bean sprouts you add, the omre you add the more watered down and cold your broth will get. Start eating your pho like this everywhere and you'll start tasting the difference between pho restaurants that have sweet bland broth and pho ha.

Bring about 10 bucks for a bowl and maybe a drink. This place is cash only.

There is nothing like a big bowl of hot, soupy noodles on a blustery winter's eve, and last night, being one of those night's, the hubby, a friend, and I decided to brave the elements to try this place that boasted such rave reviews.

We were seated right away and ordered a small bowl of beef pho each and an order of spring rolls.  Again, almost no wait time; our food came quickly and piping hot (except for the spring rolls)!

Portions are large-- small was definitely more than enough--and they are very generous with the meat.  You know how near the end of your meal you're often left with a bowl of just noodles?  I was left with all meat!    The spring rolls were hefty, too--four bulging rolls in each order.  As for taste, I was very pleased with the rich, concentrated flavors in the pho!  Spring rolls were fresh with plenty of shrimp and pork in each.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food, and the pho served its purpose in taking the chill off our bones.  We'll be back--rain AND shine!

    Cash only, so come prepared!

On the way back from Tahoe, my uncle HAD to make a stop at Pho Ha for a bowl of pho. I didn't understand why because in San Jose there is more than enough pho restaurant to pick from.

It's a pretty spacious place, and very pink! Maybe it's because the table is pink.. and I don't across a lot of pink tables. So.. of course being at a pho place.. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet with the Raw meat on the side. I really liked the portion of the pho. It's not huge like in San Jose. I wouldn't say it was the best Pho I've had, and I don't know if it's worth the detour, but I was a happy camper after my bowl of pho. If i lived in the Sacramento area, I would probably come here on a regular basis for my pho fix. :)

Pho Ha is a hidden gem!!

They have the best beef stew pho ever! Service is quick. As soon as I ordered, my pho came right out. The meat was so tender and the soup was so rich. Unreal!

Their portions are huge! I ordered a small and could barely finish it. The hubby ordered the large and was overwhelmed!

So...Monday Night, Trader Joes and some Pho on Stockton Blvd...sounds exciting! haha....ghetto, CASH ONLY, and decor from the 80s (pretty in pink!?) not to mention the asian version of American Idol on the tv!!! Score!

So we walked in and immediately had to leave to find an ATM in little Vietnam...haha.. "oh yes, American Bank at Happy Garden" were the little lady's directions, in case you're found in the same situation....Wells Fargo ("American Bank") down a couple blocks.

Ice water came to the table and the menus soon arrived. The fried rice popped right out to me...but the place had Pho in the name, how could you not get the Pho! I would like to try that and some of the strange drinks that were on a back page, a WHOLE page dedicated to "salty" drinks like Salty Lemonade, Salty Iced Tea...uhhh, no thanks. But maybe the kidney bean and ice mixture that came out...ewww.

Onto the Pho, HUGE bowl for $6.50 and a great assortment of shiso leaves, lemon, and spouts. :) Add em in with the jalapenos and shiraca sauce, the darker one, might I add!...and you've got a nice bowl of sinus clearing Pho.

I chose the seafood Pho...didn't enjoy the imitation lobster...but the shrimp was real and so is the squid! Not too bad, vermicelli noodles were great! Ehhhhh on taste, bang for your buck for sure!

Again, not as good as Akebono...still haven't hit up Andy N's for Pho...so I've just gotta wait for that perfect bowl of Ramen, Pho, Soup or otherwise!

I came upon this place based on the Yelp reviews, since I was looking for some authentic pho for me and the co-workers. I am glad I listened!

This place definitely gets my recommendation and a future visit because:

    1.) Friendly and fast service

2.) Plenty of parking (it's in an older strip-mall with an aquarium shop next door).

3,) Majority of fellow patrons - ASIAN - good sign that the food is the REAL DEAL.

4.) Items ordered - Pho #13 (rare flank steak) , egg rolls, and Thai iced tea.
    - I had the small bowl size and it was perfect. Broth was flavorful and I didn't need to add any hoisin sauce. I just added my usual SIRACHA red spicy condiment for an extra kick in my pho.
    - Egg Rolls were excellent. Served hot and fresh. Fried to crispy perfection. I ate it with the lettuce wrapped around it and dipped it into the sauce. YUMMY! One of the best I've had in Sacramento.
    - Thai Iced Tea, I am really picky about my Thai teas because many places in Sacramento make them too sweet or look "pre-made". This place makes it fresh and they add the cream right before serving, so you get that nice separation of the liquids. NICE!

    5. ) This is rare, but this place is CLEAN. Yes, CLEAN! The bathrooms are clean too! Restaurant is certainly passable for a spontaneous inspection by the Sac County Health Dept.

I noticed other patrons ordering the broken rice dishes and a couple of roasted chicken dishes - they looked REALLY good.  I'll certainly be back again to try it out.

There's not much to say about ambiance. (It's simple and clean w/ large flat screens on the walls.) Who really goes to a pho noodle shop for ambiance?  If you're looking for ambiance and get scared by the retracted bars on the windows, then get your butt out of Stockton Blvd.  Do yourself even a bigger favor by not going east of Franklin Blvd., if ambiance is a big priority to you.

Restaurants like Pho Hoa are for the REAL Pho Foodies.

Props to kevin c. for this awesome recommendation. The pho here is money, the restaurant is clean, and the service is extremely friendly (I'm starting to think that Sacramentoians are just way nicer than people in the South Bay).

I'd come for the noodle soups, fried rice was kinda bland, and plus, for less than the cost of extra whip on my latte, you can upgrade from a small to a large order of pho (only 50 cents baby!).

    Open till 9.

Stockton Blvd has little-by-little, store-by-store transformed into the destination spot for all things Vietnamese.  And that my friends, is a very very good thing.

Pho Ha had all the hallmarks of fine Vietnamese dining:  Formica topped tables, plastic chairs and flowers, and a circular firing squad of big screen televisions , each playing the same Vietnamese travelogue.

The Pho is very good.  Nice complex broth with so many ingredients in the bowl that there is minimal room to add the side car items of basil, peppers, and sprouts.  They come in 3 sizes, small, medium, and tub.  Get the tub and become the envy of your coworkers when you bring your left-overs in for lunch.

Good stuff at a great price.  Cash only!

I wanted to eat Pho at a restaurant other than Hoa Viet, especially the one on Broadway. While, I have no qualms about Hoa Viet, I just got sick of the slightly dirtiness of the restaurant.

The hubby and I decided to take a ride on Stockton Blvd. I mean, what better place to have Pho in the Sacramento area? We ended up at Pho Ha, which I swear to God that this place was formerly a Hoa Viet restaurant when I was going to Sac State about 10 years ago. I swear... can anyone confirm this?

Anyways, immediately... IMMEDIATELY, the moment you walk into this restaurant, you already know its clean. Fresh Air comes at you, clean glass tables, clean, non-sticky and intact pleather chairs. It was too good to be true!

We ordered a couple of bowls of large Pho and their fried egg rolls. Pho came first and it looked so fresh and delicious right away! I knew it was going to taste just as good as it looked. I just knew it and indeed I was right on the spot!

Their fried egg rolls were very plump and fried to a golden brown perfection. They didn't scrimp on the filling and I loved that!

This place is a breathe a fresh air {literally} for a Vietnamese restaurant. I will definitely be returning here for my Pho-eating.

Five stars because they are the best pho in the Sacramento area. I tried many pho restaurants before arriving here. Problems with other pho restaurants include low-quality meat, sticky and stained tables and chairs, and terrible service. Not this place.

The pho broth is flavorful and compex which is important. You can order rare flank on the side and cook it yourself at the table. I get the vegetable bowl, which is actually the traditional beef-based broth with a ton of vegetables and then I add the steak myself.

After our second visit, the staff had memorized our order and now we don't even have to wait for our food. We sit down, get our usual drinks and have our pho in less than 5 minutes. It's wonderful.

The ambiance is pink, big-screen TVs and v. clean. The stainless steel shines, and the plastic spoons aren't pitted or stained.

I'm a proud regular here. It's worth the drive.

Some of the best pho I've had in a while. The service was fast and straight to the point. The noodles were good, but as you start to finish your food it gets kind of mushy and over done. The beef was delicious, I have never had such tender and juicy meat with my pho before.

Pho Ha is amongst the millions of other pho joints in Little Saigon BUT it's one of my preferred places. I don't eat read meat so all I ever get I'd the seafood combo. At all other pho shop I've been to in Sac, it's always in a big bowl and only one size. Not here. Maybe it was just that day/time but I always order it with ho fun noodles and sadly they didn't have it for me. I also like seeing and tasting the bits of fried garlic or shallots floating around in my bowl but that was also missing or they put very little in. All in all, the flavor and freshness of the ingredients makes up for what it lacks. It also helps that the place is clean and spacious. My friend had the bun bo hue and boo had the pho dac biet and both liked their orders.

So it was a dreary day and I needed to get out of feeling like I've been in Seattle the last couple of weeks...what better way than to get a comforting bowl of pho. I hit up trusty Yelp to seek the best bowl and settled on Pho Ha. It was all good! As I drove down Stockton Blvd, my head was bobbing right and left looking for Pho Ha, only realizing that this street has at least one on each corner.

I ordered rare steak and brisket pho. It didn't show a size but it arrived as a large with the usual sprouts, basil, lime and jalepenos. It was hot, steaming and delicious. I am picky about all the different kinds of meat but this was the best brisket I've had..not fatty nor gristly. The soup was clear and tasty. I couldn't finish it but took home the broth. The next day I opened the container and it was gelatinous...meaning it was real meat stock...a great testimony that it was not canned, powered soup or totally msg laden. I loved Pho Ha and will be back soon.

The pho there taste like every other pho place I tried. There is nothing special about it EXCEPT their bowls are very very small. When it came out, I thought my bf's large pho was my usual small. I was like eating a kids portion. I do not eat  a lot, but I needed more! So when you go, order the LARGE size or you will not be full.

Sac has some good Vietnamese joints, and out of the handful I tried, I like this place. It's really clean, and it's always a good sign if you see a lot of Asians in there, right? I always get the pho with everything and the spring rolls at every Vietnamese joint, and this one did not disappoint and the veggies were very fresh. That and the fact that the restroom was very clean are very good signs. CASH ONLY.

The food comes out fast and the price of food is very reasonable. Communication can be challenging so if you know what number just tell them and they will get it ordered.

Probably some of the best pho I've had. O even order plates other than pho. Right now I'm in love with their BBQ pork with broken rice. I never know what to do with the 2 small bowls they give me though. I assume one is for salad dressing and the other is a broth with cilantro leaves. I thought it was the pho broth but it was too oily, so I poured it over my rice. Whatever it is it is deliciouso.

i've gone here like 3-4 times, and i try very hard to get myself to order something different, but i end up getting the steak. it's delicious! every bite bleeds a flavorful blend of goodness. my gf swears the other food is just is good, and i hear her, really, but when i sit down, and open the menu, all i see is one dish.

if you like your food bland, don't come here to eat.

This place was highly recommended by a friend. She totally hyped me up for it, but it was just okay. The broth was way too oily, I had to constantly wipe my mouth. The egg rolls were burnt around the edges and the filling mushy. It didn't hit the spot.

The bathroom is cleaner than most on Stockton Blvd, 1 stall per sex...I think restaurants should always have at least 2 stalls per sex.  I'm still looking for a good pho restaurant with at least 2 stalls per bathroom...why am i talking about bathrooms

Just went there today and ordered the lemongrass chicken.  It was spicy but very good if you can take the heat.  next time I will have them make it without the chili.  the soup that came with the rice is not that good, but I never drink it anyway.

Yup...this Pho joint is good. I think it's better than Saigon Restaurant and yes, I came here right after my snowboard trip in Tahoe.  I believe this is the same restaurant/owner in San Jose...which is good too.  I can't believe that the price is so much cheaper than San Jose.  I will probably go here again in the future.
