I like it how the broth is better than pho 75 (which is an Aurora crowd favorite). However because Pho Duy is sort of in the middle of nowhere and a little out of the way, it is not as packed as it should be. It is convenient for me because it's so close to my school.
I recommend Pho Duy if you are in the area.
Nothing is more comforting than a big steaming bowl of Pho. I ordered the #3.. rare flank steak, tendon, and tripe, yum-yum good. Of course you have to saucy it up your own personal way. Personally, I like mine heavy on the fish sauce (its my thing) a little hoisin and dollops of chili after every other bite. I scarfed down the medium bowl a little too quickly, maybe next time i have to go big?
Now that I have a tummy full of Pho everything just seems so right and I don't have a care in the world! You gotta love a satisfying lunch for under $6
Oh Pho Duy of Aurora....how I love thee.
My gal pals and I have been frequenting Pho Duy II as a break from the office ever since Monday morning meetings started to suck (aka-forever).
This little piece of heaven is located in what I SWEAR used to be an old Pizza Hut building transformed into a bluish green Vietnamese restaraunt where they pack in so many tables it's like you've really been transported to Vietnam.
Thankfully, it's easy to ignore the stranger 10 inches to your left as soon as the delicious Pho is brought to your table.
The warm delicious broth, noodles, and meat plus mountains of add-ins invite you to dive in with your chopsticks and start chowing down. In fact, I think I have a little spot on my pants right now from one of my friend's exuberent splashes!
No matter, because with Pho this good, pants can be sacrificed.
I've sampled many a Denver pho restaurant and this one is definitely the best pho around. The broth is very tasty and the steak I get in my pho is really good. Other places seem to use crappy cuts of meat but Pho Duy doesn't skimp. No matter which bowl of piping hot pho you order, you should always start with the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. Yum, I want some pho for lunch right now!
The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired - which is pretty standard for Pho around town - but it doesn't diminish the meal.
They can also pack up a very nice to-go package for you if you feel like enjoying your pho from your couch while wearing PJs (not that I've ever done that before).
Take a deep breath here ... I grew up in the San Jose area, aka Vietnamese food capital, so when I say this place is mediocre don't throw stuff at me. This place is in Colorado so I have to give you that but the broth was mediocre, and the meat wasn't the best cuts. But they had really great and quick service, and it is very reasonably priced but there is no parking at lunch if you don't get there early. if I lived in the area I bet I would love this place as well, come on hot bowl of pho with cool/cold weather.
I was definitely craving a large bowl of rare beef pho (pho tai) when I moved to Colorado. This was the second pho place I have tried so far and I went in with much lower standards. I was pleased with the amount of noodles and meat I got and after layering the bowl with a bunch of hoisin sauce, I was good to go. A lot of people love to enjoy their pho by eating slowly with the soup spoon, but not I. I downed that bowl pretty quick and the broth was tasty enough to sample afterward. This place won't compare to anything they have to offer in Little Saigon, CA but considering how close it is to my apt it will do for sure.
The best Pho i've had! Worth the trip. The spring rolls are excellent as well.
My fiancee goes here for lunch with guys from his work. I kept hearing about how amazing it was, over and over and over and over....ALRIGHT! I get it! It is the best Pho ever! So, I decided to crash one of these lunch outings.
Now I'm the one who is craving it. It really is the best Pho around. Plus, the iced coffee is the tastiest drink ever. It sits in the cool little brewer thing that goes over the cup, urging you to hurry up and eat your soup. It is my favorite way to end a meal. That is huge coming from a desert girl.
I have been to Pho Duy in Denver, and I must say, that I prefer the drive out to Aurora. I can't say exactly what the difference is but the soup was not quite as flavorful.
So back to this lunch thing. Duy II is really busy at lunch. Really, really busy. We always have people in line in front of us when we get there but we rarely wait long. They masterfully get people in, fed and out. Two thumbs up for a yummy, well priced, quick lunch.
Pho Duy in Colorado is good, but this particular location off of Peoria is Great ! We seem to always go here if in the area, not that others aren't good. because here in Co, we have excellent Pho. medium Pho dac biet, and a cafe sua da, and i am a happy man !
Perhaps, it was an off-day, but I have had many pho experiences that would put Pho Duy II to shame. The broth came out rather weak and needed a ton of fish sauce to get the salt levels to adequate. Even with that, the flavors were just not coming through and I ended up with a bowl of murkiness. In addition, the service was extremely indifferent. The restaurant was really slow on this morning, but the servers seemed too preoccupied with chatting to pay any attention to my attempts to flag them down. At one point, I swear that the teenaged employee saw me wave towards her and she immediately turned her head to avoid acknowledging me. On the positive side, the noodles and cuts of meat were quite good. However, I'm not sure whether that will be enough for me to give this place another chance.
Ok, I thought - I live in the ghetto of Aurora, the best restaurant around is taco bell.
I thank the heavens above for Yelp, because I've now discovered two excellent, authentic restaurants including this one! I seriously can't believe it was down the street and I didn't even know.
My disclaimer: I am not Vietnamese, I'm just an average white girl who likes Pho (ok, ok I like food, food, food! ).
Pho and spring rolls are the ONLY items on the menu other than drinks. I did take-out, but was in the restaurant for a bit and it seemed clean and the waiters were friendly. I'm used to the "Americanized" Pho, and this place was totally different so I'm assuming that means it is authentic.
The menu has about 20 different types of Pho. ALL have beef except for the one chicken & rice noodles Pho (I'm not a huge fan of beef, flank, or tripe so I got the chicken). I also had the spring rolls. They have three sizes (small, med, large) and the large can feed about two hungry people. I didn't try any drinks, but they had a whole page of different types of sodas, shakes and teas. They are extra-generous with the add-ins (limes, jalapeños, greens, bean sprouts, etc).
The location isn't beautiful, and it's on Peoria just before the train tracks (not the best place in town). But inside it's peaceful and clean, so I guess you can't judge a book (Pho restaurant) by it's cover (neighborhood).
The broth is AMAZING. It's so delicious. And they gave me enough jalapeños so I didn't even need schriracha to make it spicy. They packed everything nice and tight so it didn't spill on the way home. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were good (but I didn't know that they put a slice of beef in the spring rolls). I honestly like An's Lemongrass Grille better for the rolls and peanut sauce (tastier peanut sauce, no beef in the rolls, and much bigger rolls), but Pho Duy for the Pho (excellent tasty broth, huge portions, and generous add-ins). The pricing is reasonable, but I overheard that anything extra (extra noodles, bean sprouts, whatever) was $1.25 and that seems pricey. The chicken in the Pho was a little tough, but I will concede that chicken is obviously not their specialty.
They open at 9 am on Saturdays. It's magical. Wake up, go eat breakfast, go home, get back in bed all warm, shiny, and happy.

This is a GREAT Pho restaurant! I have tried many in the Denver Metro Area (Pho Fusion, Pho 79, Pho Duy in Broomfield...which is NOT owned by the same people! and Chez Thuy in Boulder)
This restaurant is highly highly recommended. I started going here because my co workers were OBSESSED with the pho. This location is on Peoria in a...not so great area, but worth it. It is a mid sized blue building that is ALWAYS packed at lunch time. The best times to go are their off times.... this restaurant opens at 9:30am!
Here is what I am obsessed with about this restaurant.....
+ The pho broth is amazing! The best I have had
+ The spring rolls are to die for.. they are good sized. I hate to get spring rolls that are in tiny tiny portions for the $$. The peanut sauce is excellent
+ The owner. He is EXTREMELY friendly and greets everyone with a smile. It is nice to see this when you come to a restaurant...makes you feel that the people there enjoy cooking and enjoy your presence. If you become a regular, he also remembers your "usual" dish and name. How nice is that!
+ The "To Go" packaging...Pho Duy II packages the pho nicely so it won't tip over on the way home. They also give you generous portions of onions and cilantro, along with the chicken/beef etc and noodles.
I have never been to a restaurant that is so packed at lunch time! If you are down by the airport some time, do try this. I can't rave enough about the food (which is basically just pho and spring rolls plus beverages) ...
If they had a motto it would be "Do something and do it well" YUMMMMM
great price, great portion. I love the combination dac biet pho! The portion is ginormous meat and noodles. Must try their spring rolls
