We stopped into Pho for our normal yummies and were surprised to find that their menu has grown exponentially.  There are so many new dishes that we all went into palate overload in trying to figure out what to order.  They did a few "American" favorites crab cheese wantons and sesame chicken though I would never order it, I think it was a wise move to add some less adventurous stuff for people who like McD's and such.
I think we'll have to come back soon so we can try some others, but I went for the combo grill with jasmine rice.  It was pretty tasty- I wasn't very adventurous, I hate ordering things that aren't so tasty.  I am also pleased to say that they now offer shrimp chimps with the cabbage salad.  If you can order them on the side, I would.  They are a nice surprise from the normal pink and green Styrofoam pieces that you get under various Chinese dishes.   :)
I'm excited to see what else they now have to offer.  It seems kind of like they are becoming a baby New Saigon (kinda).

I'm far from a Pho expert, but I definitely get into phases where I eat it several times a week.  The Pho here is very tasty, and although most purists would snub it for this reason, they have a lot of other good items on the menu to satisfy members of your party who do not like or want to try Pho.   One of the best extra things on the menu are the wontons-- they are folded into triangles and are thin and crispy.

One of my common complaints is that it seems like the majority of Pho places have pretty poor service-- i.e., if you need a drink refill you have to flag someone down and ask for one.  Pho 88 bucks the trend by a long shot-- I've had consistently good service here.

My only complaint about the place is that in the winter it is very cold.  Believe me, I'm the type of guy who will go outside in a t-shirt in a snowstorm, and break into a sweat if it's above 70 degrees.   This place is not properly heated in the Winter and you will likely need to wear a coat.

Otherwise, I'd definitely put this on your list of places to try if you want some "gringo friendly" (stolen from Doug Y  :) )  Pho.

Does everyone have a "go to" restaurant that when you can't decide where you want to eat or don't want to spend a ton but want good food or just a place where they don't bother with the menu and they'll just ask you if you want your "regular" or "same sing" order? You know, the place you might eat at three or four times in a week when you've got too much "on your plate" to make anything at home to put on a plate. Well that would be Pho 88 for us. Medium #7 with cooked bean sprouts or a Bun Dac Biet (do I feel like hot soup or cold salad).

Nice friendly place with better than average food. I don't understand the other reviewer's characterization of the food as "greasy". They serve pho and grilled dishes (I like their Bun Dac Biet or grilled combo over rice noodle salad). Their pho is almost as good Pho Duy on S. Federal or in Aurora and better than the location in Broomfield. Come on Chicka a 4 star rating for PF Chang's? Okay, now I understand. Maybe you should only rate the restaurants you like and don't hate what you don't understand.

Sorry excuse for Vietnamese food.  Greasy food prepared in a not so healthy looking environment.  There is no need to solicit businesses like these when there are so many better options in Colorado.
