I hope that you never need to talk to a lawyer...but if you do, I had a great experience with Phillip Griego & Associates.  FYI - the firm focuses on employment law (so I hear but they may take other types of cases).

My friend referred me to her lawyer, but her lawyer was totally booked, so they referred me to Phillip Griego.  Without a real recommendation, I scheduled an appointment with the office, specifically with Robert Nuddleman; $295 per hour and time is charged in 6 minute increments.  When you have your appointment, be ready because the clock is ticking!

I haven't had to seek the advice of many lawyers, but there were a few things that I appreciated about Rob - he spoke like a normal person (not lots of legal jargon...making it easier for me to follow along) and he was totally honest.  Rather than trying to up sell me on additional work, he told me that (based on my situation) I was better off not using more lawyer/attorney services because it would be a waste of money.  

I ended up needing some follow-up advice, and Rob was very responsive via email.  He also gave me a few freebie minutes which was nice.
