Every Wednesday I head over to Civic Center to buy fresh produce, fruits and eggs. My first stop every week is at Phan Farms produce. The freshest organic produce at reasonable prices is there. The quality of everything I've purchased from cilantro and dill to root vegetables, from crunchy cucumbers to the freshest beans and snap peas has been outstanding. The eggs are always fresh (I return my empty carton every week!) and taste great. I often base my weekly menus on what's available at the Phan's.
The woman who runs the stand always has a smile on her face and greets regulars and newbies alike in a friendly way. Through November, they also operate the stand on Sundays.
Don't pass up a chance to buy the best organic products at the Civic Center farmers' market. If you are in a hurry, this is the only stand you have to shop at! -

This is the most delicious and beautiful produce in the market. I do all of my grocery shopping (minus meat and milk) at the market each week and it is very rare that I buy vegetable anywhere but Phan Farms. Delicious scallions, the most beautiful lettuces and spinach (and clean!!!), fresh herbs...and organic! The food here makes me want to cook and the people are so nice!

wish the Dragon Fruit was not sooo expensive..but it works for that old diabetic friend that has everything except tolerence for sugary treats and was told that this fruit is purchased by people with diabetes because it helps with their health condition....don't know if that is medically correct, but just the beautiful color and black seed like internals reminds me of the exoticness of the color of kiwi fruit and black seeds.
