I have never seen so many un neutered dogs in a pet store in my life! But I asked to pet them all, so at least I know they were nice :) (to me anyway).
They had a nice out of the way training area..instead of plopping it in the middle of the store with nothing but a small fence around the dogs and people.
The store seemed pretty big, and Im happy to wander around looking for whatever it is that I want by myself so the lack of customer service wasn't really an issue for me.
This location has a pet hotel as well as grooming and training....nice. Everything in one area.

Worst.. Customer. Service. EVER.

They get one star because they have a great variety of fish, but I could seriously do without the lazy, obviously undereducated, rude staff that works here.

There is one person in particular, I wish I had gotten her name, but all I can say is that she is probably in her mid twenties, African American, works in the aquarium department and one of the rudest, laziest, most unhelpful people I have ever encountered in customer service. I can't understand anything she says because she is mumbling, rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing any time I ask her ANYTHING. The rest of the time, she's standing there looking like she can't wait for everyone to just go the hell away.

I have tried to ask questions, and no one here seems to know or care about the fish. I actually had a fish die recently because the person here told me that I could put it in my tank with my other fish. Obviously not the case, and before I knew it, he was dead.

I won't ever go back to this store. Even though it is convenient, you shouldn't feel intimidated by the staff. The last 2 times that I went, I didn't even get to chose the fish that I wanted because I felt like I was getting on the girl's nerves just being there, so I felt pressured to just buy the fish and get out.

Keeping a healthy, happy aquaium isn't cheap, and I don't appreciate spending my money somewhere it isn't wanted. I'll go a little farther down the road to PetCo. They don't have as much variety, but the one time I was there, the service was beyong stellar.

The only reason this Petsmart gets three stars is because the Banfield people are nice and they allow me to get prescriptions for my dog's hypoallergenic food without having to jump through hoops.

The customer service here is nonexistent. The people on the floor try not to make eye contact with customers. Beyond that, God forbid you try to get anything from the fish department. You'll get ignored for hours.

I had a woman demand to know how big my fish tank was when I was buying baby catfish. I told her it was 13 gallons, and she flat-out refused to sell me fish because she considered a 13-gallon aquarium "abuse to catfish," barring the fact that maybe I was starting them in a smaller aquarium, which I was.

I complained to the manager and informed him that all the fish I've received from that store are infected with ick. I'll stick to buying my dog food here, beyond that, I'm over Petsmart. There are plenty of better specialty dog stores in the city, like the Barking Lot.

I've been taking my dog to get groomed here since I moved from Cleveland.  During that time, the price to bathe and comb my (16 pound!) dog has crept from $20 to $54.  This is more than I pay for a haircut for myself.  So, although they do an okay job, I probably won't be doing that anymore. The groomers though, especially this last time, handled my very pain-in-the-a** pooch with kindness...he looked and smelled fantastic (though I could have gone without the frat boy cologne smell.) They were nice to me, explained thoroughly how he'd done...The price is just too high, and the customer service in the rest of the store is some of the worst ever.  Por ejemplo, I overheard a "customer service representative" say "The f***ing customers."  Wow.

People in the store are nice; however, the Banfield Vet people are hideous. Greedy. I waited 6 hours to get shots for my cat. Rude. Overpriced. Stupid Vets. They try to make you get every test and procedure--using guilt tactics--and then, you could die of boredom waiting.

I took my little shih tzu here on Saturday to get groomed. They said it would be 3 hours and I understand, it's a Saturday. They called us about an hour before we had to pick up our dog and asked if they could keep our dog another hour! I wasn't too happy about that because we were shopping around the area while we waited for Gizmo to be picked up.

When we picked him up he was adorable and they cut his hair like I requested. The only downside was he reeked like a girl and he's a BOY! I think they spritzed him with puppy cologne that smelled like cotton candy. Needless to say it didn't smell too good. Puuuuuuu!

I also was observing the groomers and how they interacted with the other dogs being groomed. One lady was being really mean to this golden retriever by pulling on his legs and demanding him to sit. I was hoping that my dog wasn't going to be stuck with this impatient lady!

The grooming was $48, a little high for Petsmart. But when your dog is in desperate need of grooming, it will have to do.

Petsmart has completely and totally won my business forever.

Many years ago, I bought their Petzazz dog crate in XL.  It is the only escape proof and indestructible dog crate that I have ever come across in the 10+ years that I have owned large dogs.  Unfortunately, that particular crate is no longer available so I had to purchased another XL crate from their competitor for our second dog.  At $250+ it failed to contain our 140lb Rottweiler and the door became so bent that the locks no longer functioned and we had to resort to using a padlock.  We have always crate trained our dogs for their safety when we are not home.

Fast forward to today, we again have 2 dogs, one fantastic crate and the other awful one.  The two of them have terrible separation anxiety..they are left alone no longer than 3 hours 3 days a week.  They are miserable in separate crates, even side by side.  We've been through 2 plastic trays at $50 each because one of them destroyed them.  We tried rubber toys, kongs, nothing calmed them.  I did not want to give them anxiety medication, and leaving them uncrated while we were out was not an option. I was beginning to have anxiety attacks whenever we had to go anywhere.

Petsmart had exactly the product that we needed and wanted.  After alot of contemplation and research, we decided that the best solution was to build an indoor kennel and convert one of the rooms in the basement into a dog room.  We wanted to build an indoor dog kennel that would be at minimum 6 ft high, was large enough to house 2 dogs and leave them both ample room to stand, turn, walk, and play.  We did not want one that made out of noisy sharp chain link fencing, had sharp points or edges in the interior or parts that the dogs could easily destroy or chew...and we did not want an eyesore.  I am very fortunate that we have alot of room to build something like this.  We absolutely love it and wished that we had thought of this sooner!

P.S.  I ordered this online on Saturday, received it today!!

The good?  They have the essentials for most of your normal pets at normal prices.  Admittedly, I do go here to get stuff for my dogs if I really have to.  Also, they are the only place around me that carries fully biodegradable pickup bags (since not all biodegradable bags are created equal, but that's another story...).

The bad?  Well, it's a personal thing so there is certainly room for disagreement:  I generally avoid Petsmart or any other warehouse pet supply store that sells animals.  Some of it depends on the specific locations, but living conditions and care are generally poor.  It also seems that they carry birds and small mammals on a high volume basis as opposed to high quality.  I have a big problem with that since I believe if you're going to sell animals, the sale and care of the animals should be your primary focus.  Don't just throw it in on the side and treat them like inanimate inventory.

As long as Petsmart stores sell live animals or otherwise improve the conditions, I'll be avoiding them as much as possible.

I HATE THIS PLACE AND HOPE IT ROTS IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY.
In the last day 1/2 my beloved fish Biteys tank got a complete infestation of  tiny weird black bug like creatures from a live plant I bought from this store.
I dont know what in the fuc* these things are but I switched his tank Immediately tonight.  The only place they could have come from was that bastardly plant I bought from this bastardly store.
Petsmart you have replace  American United Cab as number one on my shit list. And I Really Hate American untied cab.
If something should happened to Bitey as a result of that plant - you better sleep lightly ,friend.

If my dear cat could speak, she'd thank me for the toys, food, and other various pet supplies I've bought for her from PetSmart. She would say, "Julia, you're amazing. *rub, purrr, rub* That was money well spent at PetSmart. Now gimme more chicken Temptations treats!"

It's a Costco for pets. Whatever you need--they've got it. Not only do they have it, but it's cheap (especially in bulk). A lot of other pet supply stores that I've been to don't compare to this place in terms of selection and price.

This is the place I buy my dog food. My poor little pug has food allergies, so I have to be careful about any products with wheat or chicken. Thankfully, they always have Nutro lamb and rice dog food stocked. Sometimes it is on sale and very reasonably priced, other times....it is jacked up another $10. Wish it was consistent, or at least send us an email when it will be on sale.

So that brings me to my next point.... really, what the heck is the point of their reward card?? I guess I am just giving them free marketing/ buying trend and loyalty info for nothing. I have never received any coupons, discounts, etc. Today was the first time I saw something that was offered cheaper specifically with using the reward card- and it was 50 cents off a bone.

So tonight I bought some rawhide bones for my puggie. He is what they call a "heavy" chewer. He can rip through a bone about the size of a hot dog in about an hour. So, I decided to get one of those huge rawhide rolls and figured, "This should keep you busy for a few days." I got home and proudly gave it to him. He dragged it across the room and chewed on it for a couple minutes only to give up. His poor little gums were bleeding. Then he ignored it. He never does this with a bone. I felt like a bad pug mom and decided to try to return the 3 pack. The woman at PetSmart was nice about it and let me exchange the bones for something more pug friendly.

In general, their customer service is pretty friendly. I would agree though with a previous yelper, they have never once offered to help me carry the 40 lb bag of dog food. It would be nice.

I still consistently come here to buy dog food though because of the convenient location and a huge parking lot.

Worst customer service ever. Obviously understaffed, and the staff they do have need some serious training.

Yesterday I called to see if they had time available to give my dog the standard bath. I would need to drop him off at 10:45am. He's been there a dozen times so they have our info on file and everything. They said, "Sure; bring him in." I (wrongly) assumed they were not overbooked. I showed up and had to wait until 11:20am to even be asked "Can I help you?", thus ending up 25 minutes late to my own haircut appointment. They told me it would be at least 2:30pm before he would be ready. That's an awfully long time to give a dog a bath. Then I never got a call from them to let me know he was ready. I called them myself around 4pm.

The price includes bathing, brushing and nail-clipping. They NEVER do the nail clipping, even though it's written in our file, I remind them every time I bring him in, and sometimes point it out when I pick him up (in which case they'll half-ass-ly trim 3 nails while I wait).

On a previous visit I waited 20 minutes for a paged staff member to check to see if the food I needed was in the stockroom, as it was out on the shelf. During this period at least two other people came up to the clerk to try to get some help as well. There are rarely any staff in the aisles, let alone any that will be able to assist you, let alone any that OFFER to assist you.

I go to PetSmart because it's fairly close to where I live and the prices are reasonable. If I had the money, I'd definitely go to the locally-owned natural pet food stores.

Have bought four fish here.

Fish 1: Cosby.  Dead within 1 week.

Fish 2: Chastity.  Died within 3 weeks.

Fish 3: Bonervision.  Died in 2 days.

Fish 4: Lunesto.  Don't remember.  Forgettable animal.  Dead.

They tell you that if your fish passes on, you can bring it back for a refund.  Am not convinced they give a proper burial.  Probably will not return.

I bought a very sick pet rat from this place. It was infested with mites. It took over $100 to treat it at the vet. Poor guy is now better but not so friendly... probably because it had to tolerate being medicated the first month I had him.

We try to avoid this place on weekends since it is way too busy and dogs are peeing everywhere in the store.  As a general rule we stay away from items on bottom shelves.

But all in all it has what we need and associates are all friendly in our experiences.  There is even Banfield Vet connected to it, which is convenient.

We use the grooming as well for our 12 lb dog.   The grooming area is again very busy on weekends and weeknights and they have limited staff it always seems.  The staff though are generally nice and work hard.  This place is great for us, since we have to stand there with our dog during his cuts(long story) and they allow that.

For a pet store near us, it gets the job done.

Training Review:
We just finished the Beginner Class at Petsmart and it was great!

Our little guy (his name is Phineas) was very good during his 'test' and I was very proud that he accomplished so much in eight weeks.  When we brought him in he could only sit and lay on command, but now he has a much larger repitoire!  We would not have been able to teach him these things without the class with Terri.  Most of what is learned in a dog class is not for the dog but for the owner.  She taught us the fundamentals of dog training so that now we can teach him any command/trick that we want.

I know that we will be back for the intermediate level class in a month or two because we want our little guy to be the best, most comfortable dog he possibly can be.

Only downside is the classes are not private, so not all training can be catered to an individual dog's needs.  Our dog has some potty training issues that could not be resolved with the simple training alone and, although Terri helped as much as she could by giving us all the advice she could, he still has not overcome his problem.  However, this is not to say that the training he received at Petsmart was bad.  He learned so much and Terri is a great trainer.  We had a good time and not only will i recommend this location to friends for training/boarding, but also we will be back for another round of training!

The store is fine. The usual chain store stuff.

Dog grooming:
I took my little mixed breed dog to get groomed here. They quoted me $33 for a groom over the phone. I got the bill and it was $52. That's a pretty big difference to me. They also didn't clip all of his claws, only some of them--which makes no sense.

When I got my dog home, he was understandably a bit fussy--that's typical when he's had a bath, etc, but this time it was way worse than normal. He wouldn't play and he would't go on walks for over a week! I even took him to the vet to make sure he was ok, and they couldn't find anything wrong other than he might have had a bad experience at Petsmart.

I saw a groomer yank on another dog's paw and say "Don't start with me!"

I will never take him back there due to how traumatized he's been. Everywhere else I've taken him--the vet, other groomers, boarding--have all said he's very sweet and sits still for them.

If you want more reasons not to go to petsmart, check out the PETA website.

Store Review:

It is generally a nice store to buy a large variety of pet products.  They get new stuff all the time.  Blue Buffalo is a great brand of pet food they carry.  The people who work there are friendly and cool.  It's pretty clean for a pet store.  Best thing is selection, it's huge.

Petsmart Pet Training:

I would never go to a PetSmart for dog training, it is a joke.  They are a corporate retail store.  They train an employee for just 90 hours and say "Ok, you're a dog trainer!"  Some of them may have never owned a dog in their life.  Please find professional trainers and don't waste your time learning incorrect techniques.  The trainer there was not even familiar with breeds of dogs or other basic dog training information... she did not recognize my dog's breed, um it's called German Shepherd, ever heard of it?

PetsHotel Review:

Bad.  The receptionist was a dolt.  The PetsHotel does not have adequate space for dogs to exercise.  It is ridiculous that they allow dogs to "exercise" in that tiny room, where they cannot even run.  They put several dogs together.

It is clean, and a secure facility, I will give them that, but I would feel sorry for any dog that has to stay at the PetsHotel.  It is decorated for HUMANS to like it, not for dogs.  Choose a place to board your dog where there is adequate room for them.  The dogs in there look miserable, the ones that show in the front window are the small dogs.  The big dogs are put in a room in back where you cannot even see them.  Would be ok if you have an elderly or in-active dog, but very inappropriate for any active dog.  I also do not know if their kennel attendants are experienced with handling dogs, but I know they will not even accept aggressive dogs, so how competent can they be?

Grooming Salon review:

I have been there more than once for a groom for my Yorkie (in addition to other PetSmarts), and every time it was a shoddy job.  There were lots of choppy scissor marks, terribly uneven on the head, and it took forever to get her in/out.  I could have done a better job myself, and from now on I only go to a professional groomer.

I like coming here because it's a little bit more spacious than some of the others (the layout reminds me of the ones back home in l.a.), and that parking is never an issue.

I've gone here for fish needs and have experienced mediocre customer service. Nothing above and beyond great...

We also come here once and a while for puppy needs. We've received pretty helpful tips from Terri, the dog trainer, and she was really nice and informative. We had intended on taking her classes here, but ended up going to a closer Petsmart for the classes.

This Petsmart is probably the busiest one I have been to in the area. We tried getting our dogs nails trimmed and ears cleaned one time and even though I knew how busy it was that day, we decided to wait. The groomers all looked flustered and I was starting to get uncomfortable with how the dogs were up on the tables. It looked like all the groomers were in way over their heads, and I wasn't about to have my dogs in their care on a bad day, so we left and went to another Petsmart.

Okay so I have not boarded my dogs here agian and nor do I plan to there are so many better places to board your dog....... but I do give their small animal department a thumbs up. Their employee Benito is very knowledgable and helpful. He definately knows a lot about small animals. We purchased a gerbil here for my 7 yr old son and he was very informative and helpful. In fact the whole staff in the small animal dept was very helpful in helping us pick out a gerbil for a pet but also for a tank mate for our existing gerbil. One of our new gerbils died and introducing a new gerbil to an existing one can be tricky. Thanks to the careful selection and knowledge of the staff it was an easy transition for our furry friends.

Just one star given, albeit reluctantly, for stocking the odd and expensive brand of cat food for our sick little kitty.  Zero stars for consistently poor customer service over the past nine months.

The cashiers appear to have the intelligence of five-year-olds.  They rarely say hello or make eye contact; they busy themselves chatting with their friends or other employees while ringing up sales; they do not say "thank you" even after I fork over $100; and have never asked if I needed help lugging bags of kibble out to the car.  (I don't need help, but it sure is a courtesy to ask.)

Needing assistance in the aisles on a couple of occasions, I've tried to get someone's attention, only to witness the practice of customer  avoidance tactics.  (And no, I do not smell, hog their time, or ask stoopid questions.)

The store seems to be clean enough and the variety and availability of canned cat food, treats, and toys seem more than adequate.  I can't comment on other sections of the store, only that there's the occasional lost soul wandering the parking lot.

It's convenient, close to Target, Panera, Jo-Anne Fabric, etc., but I truly hate this store because of the utter lack of customer service.  Blech.

Elena (Alayna? - I didn't catch the spelling) groomed our Westie today. We don't like a traditional Westie cut, we just get her groomed all to one length and in the past, even at smaller private salons they've done a terrible job, cutting the hair on one side of her face a full inch shorter than the other side, etc.

But  the groomer at Petsmart today did an awesome job. Lily is all one length, ADORABLE (though that comes naturally) and she even groomed her tail and ear hair.

So, to Elena, or however you spell your name, you are the best dog groomer we've ever taken Lily to and we appreciate it!

I really like shopping here. I always bring my dog along. He always pisses all over the place (I've tried to train him NOT to do this, trust me).... but don't worry, their employees are there to cleanup :-).

I also used their vet service. It is quite expensive, but I don't know how it compares with other places. The vet there seemed ok. No complaints.

My husband and I bring our miniature schnauzer puppy here for grooming. We loved the haircuts and have brought him back here for all his haircuts and nail trimmings. $43 for haircut and $11 for nail grinding.  We found that nail grinding is better than clipping since the nails are more rounded and don't scratch our hardwood floors. Oh, and the dog groomers always tell us that they are so impressed with our puppy's calmness in getting groomed.

Good prices and usually clean.  Sometimes people do not clean up after their pets in the store - which is not cool!  The toy selection for dogs and cats is great, and they have every brand/size of food.

This could be a pro or a con - but the reps from the different 'gold label' type pet food brands can be really obnoxious.  The last time I was there, my husband and I were on our way to Animal Care & Control to adopt a cat - we were buying a litter box, food, toys, etc.  A representative from a pet food brand approached us, and within a few minutes had lectured us on responsible cat ownership and everything we should buy (covered $25 litter box instead of plain, Pounce treats will kill the cat because of dyes, get a cat from PetSmart instead of Animal Control!?) so finally I said "You know what?  You've convinced me that this is way too complicated.  Forget it, we're not getting a cat!"  I understand that she was trying to sell her brand but now I will NEVER buy that brand because of her overbearing and condescending attitude!

PetSmart would be better served by in-store coupons.

I think as far as pet stores go it's okay. I think it gets a lot of traffic because you can bring your pet in. That's pretty cool.

When I first got my puppy I came here and was able to get everything she needed - food, shampoo, brush, toys, carrier etc. Very convenient. A relatively big selection too. I just wish there was a more healthy/organic variety of food.

I do think the toys are overpriced. I have a little dog and I get her toys from the dollar store. She loves them. Also, I really LOATHE the pet food reps. I feel that they crowd the aisles (the eukanuba guy with his huge cart) and they are too aggressive. I don't need anyone trying to make me feel bad about the food I'm trying to pick out.

The employees are very nice and obviously love animals but many of them are clueless about the products. So I guess that's a toss up. At least they're not jerks.

Overall I think this place serves it's purpose. I go because I can bring my puppy and it's one stop shopping.

I love to visit the weasels here however I'm afraid people might be right about their selling of overpopulated pets.  Not cool.

I wonder why the one associate claimed they were more of a dog store?  So is just about every pet store really.  Actually, this store has the best selection of cat items I've ever seen.

I wish there were an independent pet store I could frequent but the indies I've seen here are all pricey boutiques that focus mostly on dogs.

I've been taking my dog to the grooming salon here but I might not anymore. It can be hit or miss. The first time I came the girl did an excellent job and I wish I knew her name because I would come back and use only her. They've started requiring appointments because they are too damn busy all the time and the diminishing quality is showing. The last time I went they called to say my dog would take an hour longer and when I finally picked her up I could see they did a crap job that looked like a two-year-old took a razor to my dog's fur. Very uneven, maybe it's a new rock-star haircut for dogs? It might be worth the effort finding another groomer, even one that charges more than $50.

Edit 10/22/07: I will definitely NOT take my dog back to the grooming service. The groomer seriously scratched my dog's cornea which caused her to get a cherry eye, which will need surgery to be fixed. Is $50 worth the risk of putting your dog in the hands of semi-experienced young kid?

So i've started taking my dog here and she loves it, she loves smelling all the pee on the posts and maybe getting into some open packages of treats. She loves meeting all the other dogs and etc, but  for me,  i'm not 100% Petsmart.
Its really more for the dogs then any other pet. I've never seen a cat here ( although i would love to see it ).
The toys are SUPER over priced and I'd rather go across the street to Target and get a bone for her. I saw the same toy for at least $2 dollars cheaper.

This review is for my one and only experience with the Banfield vet office inside the store:

We brought Bear in last year b/c he had a tick, I wasn't sure how to remove it, and it was Saturday evening and our vet's office was closed. Since he doesn't really get along well with other pets, we waited outside even though it was quite chilly. The vet assistant there was so nice, she came outside with the equipment, removed the tick, gave us instructions, and didn't charge us a penny!

The store is pretty well laid out. It has a great variety of pet food at  prices that are very competitive with other stores. Within the last year, they've added a pet hotel to their bevy of services. Their discount card program is nice in that you don't have to carry the little card in your wallet or tag on your keychain- just let them know you're in the program, give them your phone number and save some cash.
I like being able to bring pets in, it let's you "test" a toy out before buying it and finding out they don't like it.
The staff here has always been helpful and friendly in my experience- this is so rare and precious to find!

I like that I can bring my dogs there. The toys are pretty fairly prices, which is good, because with a Great Dane, toys kinda don't always last so long. I'm happy they carry bully rings, something he really likes and they last longer than a few minutes.

I have yet to find anyone there who has a good, solid working knowledge of their products. I usually get someone who mumbles that they'll call over a manager, and then I'm left standing there for 10 minutes until the big guy gets antsy.

I also agree with the comment about the aggressive pet food reps; the Nutro lady is just awful. If I didn't already feed my guys that food, I would vow against buying it, out of sheer spite for that hounding woman. One day I was beelining it to the particular kind of Nutro I always get, and she was still trying to sell me. I told her she was preaching to the choir, but she seemed undeterred, following me to the checkout. Could not figure out what her deal was...

A very helpful and friendly place, if you have a pet.  They have a pet hotel, grooming center, and vet attached to the store, which allows you to get everything done at one place.

The vet is very friendly, but a little pricey.  The pet hotel is excellent, they have seperate cages for each pet and let them out for playtime and walks each day. They are also very friendly and cheap compared other pet hotels in Chicago.  The grooming center is also very friendly and will help you get an appointment around your schedule.

The store itself, pretty much has everything you need and if you can't find the exact product, they employees will suggest something similar.

This is a good place to buy toys, pet carriers, leashes, collars, and food bowls. They have a great selection of cat litters! And the staff is helpful and nice.

A few things I don't like about Petsmart is the lack of  HEALTHY high quality pet food. If your looking to buy your pet good healthy food go somewhere else, I go to Pet Supplies Plus.

And also some of things they sell are over priced for example they have these cat towers for $150.00 and up, and I found these bigger and better looking towers at Costco for $70.00!!! And some of the toys are also over priced. But overall it's a good pet store.

i don't know what it is, but maybe in another life I was a dog or at least a cat, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE just walking around the toy aisles and playing with the toys myself, and picturing how much fun my little Mr.B is going to love playing with them himself.
OOOOh he's so CUTE and ADORABLE! giggle=)

i guess I'm just kooky, but at least my one and only true love, loves me still =)

I like Petsmart.  I like it better than Petco anyway.  I love to pet and play with all of the doggies that come into the store.  What I don't like is that they are constantly rearranging their cat section.  Every time I go in this store I head to the aisle that I think I need to go to and find out everything was moved.  It's kind of frustrating since I'm a "get in and get out" type of shopper.

But overall, their products are good and reasonably priced.

It works for me. I've taken my dogs to get trained here. More than one time.

The prices are good, I know exactly where everything is so I can dash in and grab it, and the parking lot is decent. Much multitasking of the errand variety can be had in this mall.

Two thumbs up.

I'm giving this place 2 stars because it's a fine place to shop for your animal... JUST DO NOT GET THEM GROOMED HERE.  We took our dog Kaya in to get a shave for summer.  We figured a simple shave should be exactly that- simple- so why go to some doggie spa?  We dropped Kaya off and 4 hours later picked her up to find out they had cut her hind leg with the clippers. WTF??  I thought they were "professionals".  Apparently not.  After soley focusing on her injured leg, once we got her home we noticed what a RIDICULOUS shave they gave her.  Horrible, absolutely horrible.  Next time we'll be taking her to a real groomer- not to some ass with clippers @ Petsmart.

I've never had a dog so I've never entered a Petsmart until last night when my boyfriend brought home a dog from the anti-cruelty society. Our first trip with the dog was to Petsmart and I was pretty impressed with this store. I couldn't believe they actually let you bring your dogs in, but I guess that makes sense since it is a store for them.  They seemed to have everything you could possibly need and the sales associates were very helpful and friendly as they helped us pick out a crate.  It was also surprisingly clean for having animals in there all the time!
