My doggie hearts Julie. Therefore we heart Julie.
Julie produces for us what we have come to know and love as "dead dog"... when our little mutt passes out cold after a long day of play. No sticking her head in our dinner plates, no paws on the counter, no crazy tail chasing just cuddly-mush-puppy on the couch.
She loves her weekdays...in fact, even though she loves mom and dad time on the weekends she is a bit bummed she's not out with Julie and friends.

I am a dog walker myself, and when I first started, I looked around at other dog walkers to see whom I could learn from. Julie of PetpourriPet stood out immediately -- I remember thinking "How does she make it look so effortless?" Well, I've since learned that she does it by having years of experience, extensive knowledge of how to handle groups of dogs, and lots of love for animals.
I've been doing this a few years now, and I'm *STILL* impressed by Julie! You cannot go wrong in trusting her with your dog. She is experienced, responsible, and very, very good at what she does. And she goes above and beyond for all of her dogs and clients.

Three years ago I moved to Noe Valley and was recommended to Julie from my old dog walker. For me, this was the best recommendation that I could have received! Julie has lived up to all my expectations from the first day I met her!!
My dog is Sissy, the Cairn Terrier on her blog. I have Julie come 5 days a week and Sissy is SO well cared for. In fact right around the time Julie is expected to come each day, Sissy waits at the door to see Julie and all of her dog friends. When she comes back, she is exhausted and Sis and I have wonderful calm evenings. I truly believe that a well exercised dog will be a well behaved dog and I have certainly found that to be true!
From my side of life, Julie has never called in sick. If she needs to take time off for something she has found a replacement to walk Sissy. She is incredibly respectful of my home and wipes down Sissy if it has been a rainy day or if she has gotten into something (as dogs will do).
Finally, she is there in a pinch! I was extremely ill recently and went to the emergency room. I called Julie because I hadn't fed Sissy and was worried about how long it would take. Julie was wonderful!! Not only did she come over to my home and feed Sissy, she brought her back to her house in case I ended up in the hospital over night. It ended up to be nothing serious and I picked up Sissy at 11:00pm. I truly don't know what I would have done without Julie that night and on so may other occasions!
Sorry to be long winded, but I believe she deserves this type of praise as someone who genuinely cares for my dog every bit as much as I do!

I have been using Petpourri for about six months for my little girl, Macy. Being that I am at work all day, it's great because I know that Macy will be able to get out of the house, run around, play with her best friend, Mable, the beagle, and meet tons of new friends! Julie is absolutely AWESOME and is very responsible, as well as accommodating to my personal needs as a dog owner.
I actually interviewed about 10 dog walkers over the phone, 4 of which I met in person. Julie was the only dog walker who immediately showed an interest in my dog first (and Macy instantly made a love connection with her). The others that I met just pat Macy on the head while Julie was the first to get on her knees and embrace Macy.
Macy gets out for at least a couple hours each day (and usually longer). I would highly recommend Julie as a dog walker to any interested dog owner in the SF area.
Julie is wonderful, I am a fellow pet sitter and see her at the dog park daily. All her dogs are well taken care of and loved you can see how happy they are. She always covers for me when I am on vacation and I trust her 200% all of my clients have given me great feedback when she has covered. YOU ROCK JULES!!!

Highly recommended! Julie has been out dog walker for nearly 3 years and I have nothing but great things to say. Angelo (my dog) lights up with excitement everytime Julie comes to the door. She gives much love and tons of exercise!

I haven't used Julie (and won't), but I ran into her at Fort Funston. Her parked truck was full of barking dogs, which was what attracted my (or actually my dog's) attention. I didn't see a person. It was a sunny day, not hot (Ft. Funston is rarely hot), but I don't believe the windows were even cracked open. I played fetch with my dog in the field by the parking lot for a while (about 15 mins) and when we were ready to leave, I went over to her truck and read the address on something on her dashboard (which is how I know it was Julie). At this point, Julie, who had apparently been playing fetch in the field with one lucky dog, called over to me to ask what I was doing to her truck, and I said "You have a bunch of dogs barking in here, and I was considering calling ACC." She said "They've only been there 5 minutes," but I knew that wasn't true, because they'd been in there at least 15 minutes earlier when my dog and I arrived and started playing fetch.
The reason I gave her 2 stars instead of 1 is that a) she was within sight of the truck, and b) there are much scarier stories on Yelp about dog walkers losing dogs!
Julie is a true professional and very dedicated to her dog clients. I always felt like she really "understood" my dog, Radar. Although we moved out of the city after using Julie's services for a year and a half, Radar still gets to vacation with Julie. It is always a mixed feeling to see your dog a bit torn about coming back home with you after returning from vacation. With Julie, you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands and out having a good time.
We've used Julie for almost 5 years - she is highly recommended for daily play groups and we've also had her stay at our home with our baby while we are out of town, from one or two nights up to a few weeks. We are always pleased with her level of professionalism and her true love of animals. She is like our dog's second mom.
Julie is a godsend. We interviewed a number of dog walkers before meeting her and didn't find anyone we felt comfortable with. Once she walked in the door Diamond (our dog) immediately gravitated towards her. It's been a perfect match ever since. For the last 4 years she has been a surrogate mother to our pooch. She's like the favorite aunt that kids love seeing. Every time she walks in our house Diamond goes crazy! I would trust her with my dog, house or kids. She is extremely professional and hasn't missed more than a few walks in over 4 years. I couldn't ask for anything more.
