Petit Louis is situated in the heart of the historic and glamorous Roland Park neighborhood and the structure in which it resides is one of the oldest malls in the country. The food here is simple French. I don't speak friend and can never read the menu but I know that their food is amazing. I'd recommend it for a date or perhaps to impress some out of town guests/inlaws. I've heard the wine list is good too.

A nice little neighborhood spot for a bite of pate, good cheese, nice wine when you want some light fare.  Their nightly specials are quite good as well - have had a beautifully cooked veal with wonderful potatoes.  Desserts - yummy.

saying it is the "best french" place in Baudimow is not sayin a whole lot.  It was great when it first opened and I attriute it's success to Mark, who did their ads and who was the maitre d' extrodinaire. Since then, the menu has been dull and service chilling.  Plus, what in the world are they (the wait staff)  thinking when they pour a taste of wine in to their glass for tasting, supposedly because they are tasting it just in case it went bad.  Come on!!!  I am not concerned that my 20 dollar bottle I ordered has gone bad.  If it has, so be it.  The entire song and dance is pretentious at best.

I love this restaurant.  This is one of the most redeeming aspects of Baltimore.  All of Cindy Wolf's restaurants are amazing, but this by far is my favorite.  It's so cozy and warm.  The food is always delicious.  I'd suggest going at dinner time, because the one time I went for brunch, the service was blah.  Other than that, the service has always been very attentive, and very polite.  The pommes frites are delicious, the quiche is delicious, the scallops are amazing, the duck confit I thought was a little salty.  Everything is delicious.  They offer tasting menus each month, and those are always always wonderful.  Yum.
