great room - queen sized bed, TV, fireplace, etc. also, wine glasses were available in the room and there was a small fridge in the bathroom to store the day's food and wine purchases. bathroom had hot tub and standing shower. there is free wireless internet, but it was a little choppy.
location - can't be better if you want to be near Yountville restaurants: literally steps away from Bouchon and Bouchon Bakery. One block away from Bistro Jeanty. And walking distance from French Laundry. If you're only looking for a nibble of cheese, it's two blocks from Ranch Market Too.
the price per night is also very reasonable for the area.

We came on a weekend, and received a room with (queen sized bed), a great roomy whirlpool tub, shower, small fridge, yada yada. The fireplace made an odd clicking noise the entire time it was on, but maybe that is how they are supposed to be? We got used to it. Our room had a great bay window area to sit and read. Each room leads directly outside, so you don't have to go through any hallways or anything. The rates were fairly reasonable for the area. Nights were fairly quiet- I couldn't hear the other guests through the walls.
The location is excellent. It is literally right next door from Bouchon Bakery, and all the restaurants are within walking distance. I guess you could say that of any hotel in yountville though, since the town is rather small. So I could wake up, stumble there half awake, and grab some delicious pastries and cafe au lait and stumble back to my room to eat it (Yountville gets pretty cold in the mornings, and there is no indoor seating at the bakery).
As a side note, I would like to mention that I forgot a notebook in the room and did not realize it until I had already been home for a few days. I sent them an email, and Kerrie Shelton (office manager) assured me she would send it out the next day at no charge. And she did. It arrived in a padded mailer bag the day after. So thank you Kerrie. We had a lovely weekend.
We recently went to The French Laundry for dinner, and, as recommended by friends who had been there before, we decided to stay overnight in Yountville. This was the perfect place. The price is right at about $200 a night during the week (which is positively a steal for this area), and the rooms were lovely -- all have in-room fireplaces and oversized jacuzzi tubs. Plus, it was easy walking distance from the restaurant, and practically in the back yard of Bouchon Bakery, which made for a tasty breakfast the following morning. The only downside was that there was some construction going on across the street, but it didn't really bother us. I'd highly recommend staying here.
