This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Brooklyn, Peter Pizza is a perfect example of why New York & Brooklyn in particular is worldly renown for having great pizza! This place is a must visit for any food/pizza lover! The squares are unbelievable..close your eyes and it will take to away to Italy!
This little pizzeria owned by Peter himself has by far the best Sophia Loren pie I have ever had. There crust which is baked with sesame seeds is a bit thicker than I prefer but the garlic in the Sophia Loren is fantastic. I swear I would eat this pizza everyday (if I could). But they do deliver, but they don't stay open for late. I remember trying to order on a Friday night around 9:30pm and they were closed. That stinks!!! If your in Bensonhurst, you gotta get Peter's Pizza. I have heard that the other dishes are good, but I wasn't a huge fan of their regular cheese pizza, it was just ok. Guess I'm spoiled with the fresh mozz and fresh garlic of the Sophia Loren.
If you like Sophia Loren or Grandma style, this is it. Perfection! Peter's has the secret to this masterpeice. I work with pizza afficianados in Brooklyn and this place is on the radar big time. Seriously, try this pizza and get 2 pies!
