Totally agree with the previous yelpers.  This is one of the best hidden deals of Woburn, Boston, maybe N.E. for pet owners.  Screw retail and come to PetEdge who edges the competition on price and selection.

It's okay to go and browse, they have bargins of the week like 5 sqeaky toys for 2 bucks.  This way Nina can ripe their tiny little heads off and I don't feel like I wasted too much dough, just 2 bucks.

The best way to shop PetEdge is go to the website and have your order ready for pick up or browse the catalog and do the same.

I'm a fan for the Greenies alone.  I paid the cheapest price that I have ever paid for Greenies (as dog owners know these can be very expensive) today at PetEdge.  The place isn't fancy or tidy and who the hell would have known it was there tucked in behind all of the warehouses in Woburn???  They really do have great deals in the 'bargain room' in the back.  I'll definitely be back.

5 stars and even a yelp for the barkpalace!

ok, sniffington loves this place, but hes never been, he just likes the presents we bring him home.  this time around it was a damaged box (just the box, not the product) of greenies for his toofs.  he likes to eat them and they are especially good at cleaning that dogbreath of his.

its a hike to get up to woburn, but its worth it in savings on his frontline (for ticks and bugs) as well as the dingos if on sale, which this time they werent, but there is a clearance aisle for discounted stuff. you can also get lots of grooming supplies and the such.

what you think of petedge sniffy?

Jackie and I love to find discounts, especially Pet Stores!
I saw Meredith's review and I since I work in Woburn, I just HAD to go check this place out.
Located and hidden way out in back of a warehouse, this store is small once inside and not very organized or fully stocked, at least it appears that way.
They have the basic stuff, dog toys, collars, pet shampoo, bones, rawhide, beds, silly costumes, and such.
One room is just clearance crap. I did not find much in there.
I purchased some pressed rawhide bones and thats it.
I did compare prices on Frontline Plus, a flea & tick repellent which was $38 for 3 months. Not bad. I might go back just for that.

Just want to add some info here.  These guys are essentially wholesalers to pet stores. Their storefront is small and has a minimal amount of stuff, but most at great prices.  The real bargain is if you shop their website/catalogue and then go to the store to pick up your goods.  They do have a minimum $60 purchase required to order from their catalogue, but if you need that much, it is definitely worth it.  Most pet stores mark up wholesale prices double or triple so there are huge bargains to be had, though a few things are similar prices, particularly greenies.  I still don't understand why you need to take out a mortgage to purchase these tiny chewables.

But case in point:  I want to get my kitten one of those cat furniture towers.  The price at Petco was $149.99.  Same product/same brand at PetEdge is $54.99.

Sniffy says: never pay retail!!
Before I got my dog I was looking online for cheap dog basics. I found Pet Edge and then discovered that I could drive there and save on shipping. They have everything that Petco and Petsmart has but for much cheaper prices.
You can get Frontline for cheap, dog shampoo, crates, bowls, leashes, greenies, dingos, beds, etc.
Everything Sniffy needs and some things he wants.

I got about $350 of merchandise for $118.  Pretty amazing.  The PetEdge (http://www.petedge.com) website is extremely comprehensive and it's likely you'll find pretty much anything you need.   I was able to get all the necessities plus some unnecessary but fun things here in preparation for the puppy I just brought home.

The website and catalog will give you a great idea of what is available.  And if you just can't wait, and live in the area, with 24-hours notice you can call the warehouse in Woburn (483 Wildwood Ave, (781) 932-9199) and order for pick-up the next day.

The PetEdge store front is small but they have tons of toys, beds, treats, and accessories so if you forgot something when you placed your order it's likely that you'll be able to pick it up at the counter.

From now on I'll be going here for all my supplies.  What a great hidden gem.

I love this place over Petco and PetsMart! This company mostly sales through magazine/online, but if you live near the warehouse you can go and purchase items!

You can order over the phone for next day pick up (if you place the order in on time). They offer so many items for a reasonable rate.

My favorite place is the back room where you can purchase items at discount and are either brand new or slightly used/returned items. If you are looking for things not offered at the traditional pet store this is the place to go.

This place is great if you are on budget with having a dog and need toys, clothing items, bowls, etc. Every time I go I end up spending about a hundred bucks but walk out with so many things!

You can of course  bring your pet and its so cute to see the pets interact. My dog loves to go and plays with the other dogs and she likes to pick out her toys. I think she likes this place a lot more than traditional pet stores.

I feel like i'm being repetitive but its hard to express in a review how much I'm going to miss this place when I move.

I recently adopted a Shih Tzu and this place has been my savior.  From the helpful staff who gave me tips on purchasing the best crate to the $1.00 toys in their clearance section in the back.  I work in Woburn so my co workers and I go at lunch.  Everyone I know loves this store it's truly a great find.

P.S. If you dog likes Greenies I noticed they have a lot more sizes to choose from there in terms of quantity.

I don't have a dog YET, but I've realized that owning one is expensive, so I have been researching places for inexpensive pet supplies.  PetEdge.com has the best prices I have found thus far.  They advertise themselves as "dedicated to building your pet care business," but you don't have to be in the business to buy from them.  They don't require a tax id number.  I will definitely be purchasing from them when I finally get my puppy.

We're on our fourth giant messy dog, and this place has been a life (and nose and carpet saver)  When we got our first newf, the breeder shoved a catalog at us and said "you'll need this"  Once you buy, though, you get tons of catalogs until the end of time.
Hunt around the website until you find the number for the Woburn warehouse.  With 24 hours notice, they'll have your order boxed and ready for pickup in Woburn (no shipping charges!).  The minimum order is $50 to get the great wholesale prices - but it gets you cases of concentrated clean-up solution, toys for $1 each - everything dirt cheap.  They also sell a few things at the warehouse store in Woburn (which is across the street from the Crate and Barrel outlet, making for a fine shopping experience!

Pick up your box, then go to a pet store and gloat over the pet store's $9 dog toys!

I am a vet tech and a pet owner (dog & cat) with a tight budget and PetEdge is an amazing find. It's always been well-known throughout the veterinary & pet care fields, but is a very inexpensive alternative to chain pet stores for anybody with a pet. Their Woburn outlet store is a small hole-in-the-wall with continually-changing available merchandise but always has CHEAP toys (0.79 - $1.00 +), leashes, treats, grooming products and much more. Their catalog has everything you would ever need and the ordering process is simple & quick. If you pick up your order at the Woburn store, there's now a small fee (maybe $6-7)for orders under $65, I believe. But, that's nothing compared to the huge savings, selection & service.  My dog tends to get rough with her plush toys, so it's nice to be able to replace them easily & affordably! (And some of PetEdge's $1 toys have lasted longer than her $8 toys...). Go there or check out their website!!! http://www.petedge.com
