Found Pet Sit Pros on Yelp and couldn't be happier! The multitude of 5 star reviews speak volumes.
We had a weekend Vegas trip planned. Our corgi, Mr. Pickles, had ACL surgery a few months back and we usually leave him at my in-laws when we go out of town, but since he is still healing he can't roughhouse or play crazy with any dogs (in-laws have 3 dogs). So we came to Yelp to search out a reliable pet-sitting service and found Pet Sit Pros. The owner, Jay, is super thorough and professional. We met with Jay and 2 of his sitters a couple weeks before our trip. They all asked a lot of questions to find out Mr. Pickles routines and specialized needs. After our meeting, we felt very confident leaving our corgi, Mr. Pickles in the care of Pet Sit Pros.
We scheduled AM & PM visits - 1/2 hour in the morning and evening which consisted of feeding, walking, spending time with our dog and tending to any other misc. duties (giving him his nightly chewie, medicine, etc) If needed, they will even turn the blinds, bring in the mail and turn on/off lights. Our sitter, Kathie, was wonderful. She sent me detailed text messages me each time she came to take care of Mr. Pickles She let me know how he was doing, even what fun things happened on their walks ("Mr. Pickles made 3 new dog friends today and he was very excited to see me"). It was super cute and I totally appreciated it. :)
When we arrived home, we found that Kathie had left a "report card" which went into even more detail about how the visits went. She had a checklist that was marked off each time he was fed, walked, etc. I tell you, Pet Sit Pros has thought of it all. The attention to detail and follow up is excellent!!!
I have recommended Pet Sit Pros to many of my friends and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them!!! -

Was super anxious about leaving my kittens alone while I travelled and even more anxious about giving a stranger my keys. Scoured Yelp and PSP was:
A) one of the closest services to me and
B) the highest rated!
Had a 'meet and greet' session which eased me up a bit. I also liked being able to write everything in an online profile instead of writing stuff down or hoping the sitters remember. The sitters are super professional and friendly - most are local college kids, it seems like. They even wear t-shirts, so you know who they are.
During my holiday, I got a text every few days which quelled some of my anxiety, and when I returned home, I had a "report card" of what my furry babies got up to waiting for me. It was definitely clean when I came back - the litter boxes were probably the cleanest in months! My kitties seemed purrrfectly happy when I came home.
Tips for the future:
1) if you book in advance for the holidays, the holiday surcharge MAY be waived (need to follow up on how far advance, if this deal still applies, etc.)
2) Remember the combinations to any locks, etc. that you leave and
3) be sure to thank your sitter! -

Very professional. No hidden charges and local. Jay is extremely responsive and we've had great sitters for our black lab.
Also purchased the Yelp deal which helped with our cost for the first visit but it got us hooked and we use their service all the time. I'm very critical and they are very good to get this review :-) -

Jay and his team of sitters are very professional and very on top of things.
I loved that I got to meet my sitter before my first trip away and that they asked all sorts of questions about my pets.

Pros:
They are most likely in your area
They seem to care about the pet
They were able to handle my large 90 lb Rottweiler (who is a little naughty)
They are inexpensive (compared to a kennel)
Your pet can stay in its own home (vs. boarding it somewhere)
They even pick up the dog poo from your yard while you are gone!!
Cons:
NONE!!!
Just check out the website and call them to see for yourself. They are really nice and are a Godsend if you son't want to kennel your dog in a small, concrete cage for a few days. This is way better b/c your dog (or cat) can be in its own envornment and feel safe and comfortable. -

I shopped around before deciding on Pet Sit Pros. Their prices are very competitive, and their service is top notch. I needed a midday dog walking service for my Lab on the weekday when she is home alone for a long stretch of time. Jennifer comes by and helps Buffy stretch her legs, and she gives her some much needed TLC. I have been very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail Pet Sit Pros offers to their human and canine clients. I highly recommend them! :)

We used a few sitters in the Long Beach area and Pet Sit Pros is by far the best. Not only do they leave a "report card" at the end of the vacation, but they also send texts each day to give us an update. Very professional and friendly...we feel really lucky to have found them! I feel like our pets are relaxed and happy when we see them again! I highly recommend them!!! Thanks to Kathie our sitter and to the owner, Jay, for caring so much about providing such quality care!

I love this service! My dog walkers are nice and great with my dog. I was a little sketchy at first, trusting strangers access to my home and dog, but after meeting Jay and his team, I felt very comfortable. I recommend this service to pet owners who go on vacation or work long hours and need a dog walker or sitter!

We are very happy with Pet Sit Pros and use them exclusively to walk our dog. They are very professional and always on time and responsive to all of our requests. Our golden retriever is always happy to see her walker and we love that they leave behind a detailed form for each visit. We highly recommend them for the Lakewood area.

I am so ashamed that its taken me a month to write this review. I recently relocated to SoCal and was a little reluctant to leave my two boys (a min pin and jack russell terrier mix) to enjoy a well deserved vacation. Jay was sweet enough to make Bellflower and exception to his services area. After meeting with he and Melvin (a new caregiver) I felt more than confident that my little ones would be in good hands. They were thorough and answered all my questions during the initial interview. And it all came together when my boys had a little one on one time with Jay and Melvin.
While on vacation, I was updated as to their well being which helped me sleep at night. I will never be able to thank them enough!!! -

We had never left our toy poodle with anyone but our parents before our recent trip to San Diego and Temecula. I wasn't too into the idea of boarding, so when we came across Pet Sit Pros I was excited to meet them and see how everything worked.
After meeting Jay and his team I felt confident that they could take care of our little fur baby. The scheduling process is easy using their on line system where you can also create a profile for your pet detailing any special needs, location of pertinent pet items, etc. Their prices are competitive and well worth it for the peace of mind they provide. While we were gone Jay went above and beyond to text me and let me know that Finn was doing fine and being well taken care of. We came home to find a happy little dog and a fun report card that detailed each visit that Kathie made. They were also happy to open and close the windows, bring in mail, etc while we were gone.

What an amazing service! Pet sit pros are professional, caring, meticulous and understanding. I was so nervous to leave my new puppy for the day but Jay and his sitter went above and beyond to put me at ease. Our puppy had a great day and was well looked after while we were gone. The icing on the cake is the awesome pricing and online reservation system which allows you to note all the little particulars.

I've been using Pet Sit Pros for about 7 months now, as soon as we moved to the area. Jay is as professional, flexible, trustworthy, and ethical as they come. Our cat CJ takes a little getting used to by strangers, and Jay & his staff try their best to warm CJ over - for as much as they could get by with. They're still trying after 7 months.
Last month we got a new puppy - Lola - and we're using Jay for our day-walks, and lunch, with Lola while we're away at work. She automatically warmed up to Jay and Fernando. Albeit her disposition is the opposite of CJ's. Anyway we can trust Lola with Jay and his staff. They spent time with her getting to know her, and reviewing the routine with us so that there wouldn't be any beats skipped during her day while we're away. That's important to us, and Jay understands that whole heartedly.
Also, the software that Pet Sit Pros uses with scheduling & billing is great. We usually book our reservations well in advance as soon as something pops up on our schedule. However, if something short notice comes along, Jay was very flexible and responsive to confirm visits, and handle the billing. This is so convenient. If you've used other pet-sitters in the past who needed checks, or cash, or whatever - this takes the pain out of that! Great for our working family.
Highly recommended by a loving cat & dog owner, and who has used other (not as good)pet-sitters in the Long Beach area! Pet Sit Pros is 5stars!! -

I love Pet Sit Pros! They are very reliable and accomodating, and do a great job with my high-maintenance dog. As a veterinarian, I would highly recommend them for anyone with pets who require a little extra TLC. They always make sure my dog gets his medications when needed. The online scheduling is super convenient, and it is always easy to get a hold of Jay for schedule changes or special requests. Most importantly, my dog loves them!

Pet Sit Pros is the best! Jay and his team are very professional, personable and great with my dog. The first visit was a "meet and greet" where the staff, myself and my dog could get to know each other. The team asked great questions. I could tell that they were interested in ensuring the best service possible. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my dog's care in their hands. They have a great online system of booking and tracking their appointments. I get wonderful and informative notes after each visit that help me get a sense of how my dog is doing. My dog is much happier on the days she gets a visit from Rebecca from Pet Sit Pros.

So I had to update my review on these guys. Still 5 stars, but I have now used them more times than I can count and I seriously could not be happier. No matter what kind of bind I am in or how short notice I give, they bend over backwards to help me with my pooches. I feel 100% comfortable with them in my home and 100% confident in them caring for my dogs. They exemplify great communication and great customer service. So grateful I found them!

Amazing service!! I've been using Pet Sit Pros since February this year, and have used them several times since the first pet sit. The initial response from my query was great - Jay responded very quickly and also gave me references (something none of the others had provided). The meet and greet was great, and you could tell both Jay and Rebecca (one of the sitters) really loves animals.
We receive updates while we are away - not that we need to because after the first pet sit we know they're going to be well looked after. The report cards are great and Rebecca always leaves cute notes about funny things the cats have done, and the house is immaculate when we come back.
Price is great, flexibility is great (Jay always goes out of his way to accommodate us) and the service is fantastic!
If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! -

If only I had found Pet Sit Pros sooner!! I don't know what I'd do without Jay and his fantastic team! The service is remarkable and is without a doubt the best in Long Beach. Jay and his sitters make sure that my dogs and my home are well taken care of while I'm away so that when I return, it's like I never left at all.
This business provides day-to-day report cards, and updates me through email or phone while I'm away to check on the status of my arrival, and to let me know my dogs are doing well. It's usually hard not to worry about my dogs in the kennel while I'm on vacation, but now since Jay has taken over, I feel like a weight has been lifted. Hands down the most reliable, caring company for my pups. -

We have used Pet Sit Pros several times and have no complaints. They are very reliable and flexible (even doing walks at last minute requests). They take the time to come to your house to talk to you and understand the routine before doing the walks while you are away. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly, fair and reliable.
I've used Pet Sit Pros a few times now to care for my two cats and have been very happy with their service. I admit, I am a little bit crazy about my cats and have a hard time going away but I feel much more relaxed knowing that Jay is around to take care of them. He has always been reliable, prompt and easy to get a hold of on the phone when I am calling to check in on them. Also, a couple of times when I had to end my trip early he was very understanding and was willing to give me almost a full refund even though he didn't have to, which I totally appreciate.
Overall, I would highly recommend Pet Sit Pros to anyone looking for a pet sitter and will definitely use them again next time I go out of town. -

Per Sit Pros is a great service. I was initially nervous about leaving my dog in the care of someone else, but my apprehension was totally unnecessary They offer a range of services that fits your needs. They do a free home evaluation to get to know you and your pet. The staff is great - friendly and trustworthy. They genuinely care about your pet. Plus they water your plants and bring in the paper! Jay and his team are Top Notch! I love the report card they provide to let you know how things went during the visit. Highly recommend!

I found the Pet Sit Pros flyer and called immediately. Like Debbie said, I wish I had found them sooner! Very reasonable rates, love the staff. I have two large dogs and travel a lot - usually leaving them home and having unreliable relatives check in day to day.
Having someone at home with them and keeping my pups and house safe at night is really great! Would recommend their services to everyone! -

I can not recommend Jay and his professional staff enough. Being new to the Long Beach area, I was very concerned about leaving our fur babies but all that fear was gone with the home visit. I could tell from the loving affection that was given to my 3 schnauzers immediately they would be in great hands. The text message updates and pet report card were added bonuses. We are so happy to be part of the Pet Sitter Pro family and are looking forward to many more mini vacations to explore our new California home now that we have such reliable, loving pet care!

From the first meeting with Pet Sit Pros, we were put at ease. The attention to detail and thorough understanding of our pets needs, was indicative of the exceptional customer service provided by Pet Sit Pros. We can travel knowing our animals are well cared for, keeping their same daily routine in the comfort of our own home and not stressed from a kennel environment. Continual communication about how our pets were doing while we were away and VIDEOS - was just amazing. Our whole family is so happy to have Pet Sit Pros care for our furry family members. 5 STARS!!!!!
