I checked out this spa for the first time today and enjoyed their DNA Anti-Aging Facial Treatment. First off, if you are looking for a spa experience where the facilities are every bit as important as the treatment itself, then this place probably isn't for you. Don't get me wrong, the facilities are very nice, pleasant and clean. But this place is not a luxury spa with the large soothing sitting room, full on free fruits and juice, etc. If you're looking for a place like that, then you should check out Ojai resort or something similar. However, if you're looking for a place that will offer good services and a clean, soothing, nice environment for the treatment itself, then this place is well worth checking out.
I can only speak of their anti-aging facial (regular price $125). The facial lasted 90 mins and I was semi-asleep for half of it. The facial was very soothing, but the best part of it is the ultra sound system the esthetician used to apply the DNA product. It was amazing. The vibration from the machine washed out the excess water retention in my face and I was amazed at how much firmer my chin looked after my facial. (My husband also confirmed that the improvement wasn't just in my mind when I got home.) I also liked how long she spent on extracting the blackheads from my face. This is, in my opinion, one of the most important parts of the facial and I really hate it when estheticians only extract 3 or so blackheads. I mean, c'mon, there's obviously more and it's pure laziness not to do a more thorough job of it. For my facial, it felt like at least 10 mins or more was spent on the process and I can really see the improvement.
My only complaint about the facial was that it felt as if they were being stingy with the amount of product being applied. I've been to tons of facials and normally there's a part where they goop on products and massage it steadily into my face. Throughout this facial, it always felt as if she was just applying the bare minimum, which left me feeling strangely unsatisfied. If they had been more generous with the amount of product applied, I would have given this facial 5 stars. Despite this gripe, I had a very nice experience overall and will be back!
