Under new ownership, this established local business is finally beginning to shine again!
The new owner, Dario, has infused this place with great energy, and the customer service has been absolutely superb. He takes care to get to know his regular customers, greets them by name when they come in, and is responsive, attentive, and honest.
The place also got a much needed facelift. It has a spacious open floor plan, so customers can see how neat, organized, and efficient everything runs. The name has been changed to "Star Cleaners", and frankly the only negative thing I can think of is that this hardworking young business owner is stuck trying to undo some of the damage done to its reputation by its predecessor, as is shown by some of the older reviews.
My wife and I live in Marina but do all of our dry cleaning here. My shirts and suits have never looked better and being welcomed by name every time I visit makes the chore of dry cleaning much more enjoyable. I'm sure that with this upbeat attitude Dario will win back old customers and the business will thrive. We feel bad about our local dry cleaner who has done us well for years, but this is just a much better place.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer R.Salinas, CA107310Aug 6, 2010First to Review
I took in my duvet and 2 pillow shams for dry cleaning; they were clean when I got them back, but for $70, man, they were wrinkled. The guy behind the counter cheerfully took them back to be re-ironed but they weren't much better afterwards.
The woman who runs this place was also a major dick to my grandmother. Don't go here.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa G.Salinas, CA1243913May 28, 2015
I showed up at Perry's at 8:15 in the morning after a panicked search online for a dry cleaner that offered 'rush' service. Having recently dropped a few sizes, I have ONE dress that fits well and of course I didn't realize it was dirty until the morning I needed it.
I was clearly stressed when I walked in the door, and to be honest I expected to either be told that they couldn't accommodate me, or to be accommodated but charged a fortune. I was so ecstatic when Perry came to the rescue saying he'd get the dress back to me by noon, that I completely forgot to ask about the price.
I arrived at 11:45 to find a (still warm) freshly pressed dress, ready to wear to the wedding that I was attending at 1:00. And the charge? I was bracing myself for sticker shock, but the bill was less than half of what I was expecting... only $2 more than I pay at my 'regular' cleaners for 3 day service on the same dress.
The dress was clean, pressed, and had a light, pleasant scent (I usually hate dry cleaning because of the chemical smell that lingers on the clothes).
Perry saved the day, and he's earned himself a new customer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rosie M.Salinas, CA75188Sep 23, 2016

Great dry cleaner. I recently moved to the area and chose Perry's dry cleaners based on their yelp review. Perry was professional, sociable, and made my experience a pleasurable and personal one.
I did have one issue however; a shirt I had given them for alterations was damaged beyond repair by the seamstress shortening the sleeves too much. This was a very nice dress shirt which I recently purchased so needless to say I was not happy.
Not only did Perry personally take responsibility for this mistake, but he told me he would replace the shirt for the exact one or give me a full refund for the purchase price. I was a bit skeptical seeing how this was an expensive dress shirt (excess of $200). It took 2 weeks for him to get back to me informing me he had not been able to find my shirt and asked what I had paid for. When I told him the price, I had a check in hand within 3 days. This sort of customer service is the reason I am giving him 5 stars. I would recommend them to anyone and they now have a customer for as long as I'm in the area.
Thank you Perry!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Angelica G.Salinas, CA132930Oct 18, 2016
New name, clean, uncluttered and updated reception area and POS system, friendly service, lower prices and faster too. Look for "Star Cleaners" to add a review, tip or photo. Will return!

I had gone to other cleaners before. Frustrated that nobody could clean my garments properly, I gave Perry's a try. To my surprise, they cleaned my one piece nobody else could clean. They did such an amazing job I couldn't believe it. It had been a while since I seen it so clean. (Not that it was ridiculously dirty) but it had a couple of stains that clearly would come off but nobody tried as hard as they did. From now on that's the place I go to. Let's not forget to mention that they are the only ones in town that still clean and box up wedding dresses, yes they did that do! I definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Glad Perry's is back under new ownership and daily operation. Excellent same day service, Excellent quality on the workmanship and attention to detail. Lisa refused to let me take a shirt that still had a small stain in it and insisted that she redo it. I am very particular about my shirts starching and collars. They come back perfect. While the cleaners was closed during the transition in ownership I used several other cleaners all within a few blocks of Perry's. I found them to be much more expensive and the quality OK but not at the same level as I receive now at Perry's. Easy to hit Star Market when you pick up clothes.
