Oh Perkins...the only 24 hour joint in Houghton. You only survive because when Huskies want food or a place to chat with a cup of coffee at 2am, you are there.

There have been so many times someone would order something and the server says "Sorry, the truck didn't come today. We don't have that." ?????????
A. Tell us when we sit down what you are out of. and
B. This is Michigan NOT Alaska or Hawaii!!! Either the Manager doesn't know how to order, or the drivers just don't feel like driving in the crummy weather...again this is Michigan, we are not cut off from the rest of the country.

This place will be here for another 200 years because it is open late and it is cheap eats for college students.

I enjoy this Perkins. I almost always get good service and the food tastes just like it should. When I order a food item off the menu based purely on the looks, it comes out looking like the picture and diffidently hits the spot as far as taste goes. Overall this is a solid spot to go for some good tasting comfort food (preferable eating time: after 9:00pm).

When I lived in Houghton, this was the only 24 hour game in town (and that was probably the only reason they got any business).

I spent a lot of nights here, and the food's about what you would expect from Perkins, but getting food took over an hour on several occasions.

If you're in Houghton, you're pretty screwed for food anyway, and you know what you're getting into if you go here. But really, just go to Jim's or Econo and cook something instead. It'll still be faster.
