I did my first live Solo Performance here (March 9th, 2008). Was my first time to Peri's and from the moment I walked in I was struck but the super chill vibe. CASH only bar..
Great LIVE music (not just because I was playing :D ).
Nice stage set up for bands and solo acts as well. GREAT, GREAT local, chill, bohemian crowd that was super excited about everyone that played that night!
Will be Back to play to see other LIVE music and play again @ Peri's !!

When I lived in Fairfax, I often came here on a Friday or Saturday night to listen to live music and drink beer.
Fairfax doesn't have very many places to go to at night so this is a little gem.
This place can get packed depending on who is playing. During the week it's just the locals.
A very slow-paced bar where you can hear local musicians express musical expression and their songwriting craft. At times, this bar becomes packed while other times their are only a handful of regular Fairfax peeps frequenting this bar.
Summertime Bar-B-Ques in the back yard, Weddings, jam nights, whatever may be held here. Nice heated outdoor, covered patio area for smoke stacks.
Nice pool tables. Ask for Mr. Very Cool ~ Tim Bush! Cover charge is Friday & Saturday, the rest of the days are free cover. Volentary tip jar for musicians playing at Peri's.
Odd, but funny thing is you never know "who" might show up to jam or hang out at this bar! O=;-D
Heads Up! Watch out for Officer Friendly skulking the ENTIRE Fairfax area for peeps who go over the speed limit by THREE to FIVE miles an hour! Speed limit in Fairfax=25 MPH!
Please use that cruise control and mark your speed at EXACTLY 25 MPH or get a ticket!
Peri's is a great place for live music...you can see great shows for free during the week and weekends the cover is usually only 5 bucks. Open mic nights on Mondays are a blast.
Awesome music, gorgeous backyard (really! Check out the landscaping!), nice big side patio, great bartenders...fun!

1920's style. Small town flavor. I find myself hangin out here every so often. I just love the Art Deco Bar it's so pretty! The back patio/ garden area is really where it's at in the summertime. They have bands play every weekend and open mic nights througout the week. What I really admire is the hot pink restrooms, all done up with glitter and cute quotes about "the last time I saw Elvis".
Drove from the city through neighborhoods with cute, tiny shops, about 5 miles from 101N to get to Marin County's version of a "dive bar" to see Bob's Driveway.
Dude with mohawk collecting my $5 had zero attitude.
Large covered, walled-in patio with tables, booths, heat lamps and faux-rock feature that is part Madonna Inn and part Fraggle Rock. I knew that there were Doozers at the bottom of that thing. Or just cigarette butts.
Clientele probably is slightly different on different nights maybe, but I got the feeling that there were a few regulars. Hippychick donning a tiara screeching "Lemmehavvashottathat!" and fifty-something denim grinders, dancing to anything at all. Everyone seemed to just be having a good time.
Bartenders were so sweet, zero attitude as well & one even offered me another glass of water. I didn't drink all night because I was driving even further north after the show & I'm glad I didn't have anything because there were a TON of cops just circling the bar area and then even more on the highway nearby.
In the crowded bar, I was bumped twice and both times, the people apologized sweetly.
WHERE AM I?!?
Fairfax.
I think they're just nicer in Fairfax.

Peri's is like a home away from home for me - I always feel relaxed and welcome. A nice covered patio, plus a big backyard with horseshoes in the summertime. I miss when Van Morrison's mom used to hang out here! Good strong drinks served by friendly staff. Watch for the Fairfax fuzz though - you're definitely better off walking home. As Geezer Don once said - Where the neon meets the wilderness...
5 stars. I was here a few weeks ago and caught a Johnny Cash cover band called Rusty Evans and The Ring of Fire....or something along the lines of that name.
It was fun. It was rockin. ANd Peri's has become a new favorite joint for this little betty. I look forward to rockin' and rollin' here again....
On my first big night on in Fairfax I visited 2 of the 3 bars. First stopped at 19 Broadway w/ a $10 cover and a band that wasn't very captivating. Had an okay drink but there wasn't really a crowd and it was cinco de mayo.
So we walked down the street to Peri's, paid a $5 cover and am so glad we did! The had an awesome Rockabilly band that had all the patrons grooving. Stepped out to the patio with a weird grotto looking thing. And then to the back to play pool. Julio the bartender was a lot of fun, thought I am not sure if that is his real name - possibly a made up cinco de mayo name. who knows.
We had a great time with good drinks and friendly people!
