    Hmm,  I've always had good service and decent prices from Percy's.   I just ordered a fridge from them, they were very good about contacting me and telling me it would be late, and then calling me when it came in so I could get it before Christmas.  Price was competitive with everyone else.  I've also found the managers are very willing to negotiate.  Don't ever walk in anywhere and pay what they are asking!

    In an effort to support local I choose Percy's for my recent appliance purchases and spent over $12K only to find they would not accept a return nor would they negotiate an exchange for my smallest purchase item received less than 7 days and still in box.    It would have been most appreciated if the salesperson would have communicated their return policy prior to the sale and if management would have given some, or any, consideration to my return request.   Sorry but you've lost a loyal customer after 15 years of support.

    Stay away at all cost.  Overpriced and rude.  I had an issue with a GE dehumidifier purchased 1 day prior.  It was dead on arrival.  Called into the sales rep who helped me with my purchased and he was great.  Told me to bring the unit back and i could exchange for another brand or the same exact unit.  He went onto to say that all would be setup upon my arrival and no need for me to be concerned.  Upon my arrival I was directed to customer service and this is where it went bad.  I explained to them what my sales rep had told me and the customer service rep sneered at me like I was a criminal.  Keep in mind I purchased this unit less than 24 hours ago.  She stated what the rep told me was against their policy.  The rep went onto to accuse me of not knowing how to use the dehumidifier correctly (it has only two buttons on it, no need for a PHD) which prompted her to retrieve the user manual to educate me on the proper use of the dehumidifier.  

    Long story short the unit was DOA and the customer service rep and manager continued their attitude like I was a criminal.  Keep in mind I have spent $10,000 + in this store.  After being spoken to like a criminal and a child they abided by what the sales rep had told me he would do for me prior to me arriving at this store for the second time.  By the way the customer service manager called the sales rep into her office while I was there to scold him since he went against policy; luckily he was busy on the floor and we both didn't have to sit in the manager's office like school kids but he did have to take her call and she questioned him like he committed a cardinal sin.  I was mortified for him and myself.  I went onto to say that the rep was the most pleasant of my experience and that if you had a problem with the way he implemented policy take it up with him and don't put me in the middle.

    The people are rude.  Their products are typically 10% to 20% more costly than other stores and they could care less if you come through their doors again.  Vote with your dollars and go somewhere else.  Stores like this don't deserve to earn business from people who work hard for their money.

    Percys is way overpriced, and whats funny is that that have no set prices. So you can haggle with them. Unfortunatley if the sales rep wants to make the most profit and does not like you, you will get a bad deal. And they have like more sales reps on the floor than customers!
    I am not sur how they stay open. everytime I go in there its completely empty.
    They should just have set prices and be competative with the compitition. Dont go here its a lemon.

History

Established in 1926

Percy's started over 80 years ago on 134 Main St.

Percy's then moved to what is currently now Jillian's on Grove St. in Worcester until Percy's finally moved to the larger location on 19 Glennie St. (right across the street from Jillian's behind the Shell gas station).

Meet the Manager: Alan L.

Alan is the manager here at Percy's and has been here a long time.  He is dedicated to helping you find the right product for your remodel project, new home, or if you just need to replace an older product.  He will do whatever it takes to make you happy and make you a customer for life!
