I love this store. It's expensive, yes, but it's designer clothes so that shouldn't be a surprise. They have a very good selection, lots of pieces, and a good range of sizes (not the typical size 6 cut off most boutiques have) with shoes, accessories, and plenty of styles. But what really seals the deal here for me is the staff. They are the FRIENDLIEST people ever. Yes, I've been in wearing my yoga pants and no makeup and gotten just as much attention as the times I've been wearing my regular clothes and makeup. They're honest about what they think when you try something on, and are good at picking things to accentuate your good assets. Last time I was in, they were going through some new pieces they were considering, and even asked me what I thought with some of it! They really truly care about what their customers want to see in there. If I want something special, or something I know I'm going to get good use out of, I head here first!

This is the best boutique in Chicago, if not anywhere.  The store itself is as hip and well done as it gets, the staff is awesome and could all serve as personal stylists, and the selection of clothes is unbeatable.  Beautiful, unique pieces that are well made, feminine, modern and fit well.  Whoever does the buying for this store has a real talent for it.  Every time I need a go-to piece now, I just call them and they pick out something for me.  Wide price range of items too, there's of course super high-end stuff that I cannot afford (but love to look at anyway), and things down to reasonable prices, and good sales as well.  All in all, just a fantastic business I hope people will support.

Adorable boutique and very friendly staff.

Perchance had a trunk show at the Dailey Method and I saw that they carried a few brands that I was definitely interested in, like alice + olivia and Lilla P. I had been trying to find a specific Lilla P dress for fall this year and it is sold out everywhere - except Perchance! How did I know this? You can go to their website and reserve it for pick up at the store. (You can also online shop if you wish.)

I love the online business + local shop! Such a great idea.

I walked into the shop and adored all the items until I found my dress and a few tops. The dress was beautiful and the staff was amazing and super nice. I cannot wait to go back, as I need to save my pennies...

Perchance... Adequately named considering the likelihood I'll be purchasing anything here is exactly that, a total possibility but not very likely. Listen up Fashionistas... this is a great spot to browse and get ideas for a fabulous and well-put-together look... Diane Von Furstenberg signature wrap pieces, tons of Wolford, Shoshanna dresses for hot nights out, fur-lined Bettye Muller platforms, the Lacroix-inspired Hollywould line... all ample sources of stimuli for a clothes horse, yes? It's just a bit tragic all these treasures aren't found here en masse (heartbreakingly small size runs) and without a decent return policy...

7 days only on clothing items, handbags and jewelry are final sale so unless you actually enjoy being stuck with store credit on a $500+ purchase you may want to shop elsewhere. Often the Achilles heel of boutique shopping, the lack of liberal returns often sends me back to the unsparing arms of Neimans and Nordies.

Perchance carries some glorious pieces and surprisingly their staff is really friendly, bubbly and helpful - not at all snooty to a browser like myself - but yes, they seem best suited as a spot for a special occasion splurge or some serious sale scavenging where final sale is exactly that, final.

I wish I weren't a poor student. I really really wish I weren't a poor student every time I walk into this store, because it's filled with gorgeous gorgeous dresses that fit like they were made just for me. I try them on, and they look marvelous, and then I look at the tag and realize that they cost more than a month's rent.

The staff is supremely nice. I actually tend to avoid this store for that reason - they're so complimentary (but in a sincere way) that I'm afraid I'll blow my rent money on some adorable Nicole Miller cocktail dress. If you do have a couple hundred to blow on a beauuuutiful dress, stop in and let the salesgirls make you feel like a million bucks.

I was feeling like I needed a little retail therapy today and stopped in here on my way back from a yummy lunch at Southport Grocery and Cafe. The stuff in the windows looked super cute so thought there was a "chance" I'd find something to add to my wardrobe I"m sick of.

Everything in the store was as cute as in the windows and they had some unique brands that you don't find in many other Chicago boutiques. Some really cute (& expensive) ADAM dresses and I was super stoked to see they carry Blake Standard. I bought some of his comfy, stylish designs at the Beta Boutique sample sale last year and want more! Unfortunately, the Blake Standard jacket and skirt that caught my eye didn't look nearly as cute on me as it did on the hanger. I blame the cupcake pancake I had just devoured at Southport Grocery and Cafe.

I left bagless and continued my retail therapy session elsewhere, but hoping to have better luck here next time!

Alright so I really don't care for the Southport boutiques due to the unnecessary amount of snootiness prancing around (and uh, for the mere fact that SoPo is also located on the same street), but the lovely ladies that work here are always nice!

Four stars for the funky Wolford tights that I love and can't find anywhere but here. So sue me.

    Not.  Impressed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a shoe girl.  Everyone knows this.  And most of their mothers know this as well.  Widely disseminated information.  For that reason alone, this boutique gets two of its stars.

The clean, crisp aesthetic matches the high end merchandise.  I was disappointed with their minimal inventory and WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.  The woman working looked up to say hi and continued about her paperwork for the entire 5 minutes I was in there.

I felt like a well heeled, non-hooking Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
"You people work on commission, right?"
    "Yeah."
"Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now."

I've yet to buy something here -- mainly because I won't forego necessities like food and shelter in lieu of $300 shoes, yet I love going in this store. The layout is beautiful, the selection manages to be both restrained and varied, and it's the kind of place you go when you want to reward yourself. I've never had a bad experience with the staff either -- in fact, I found them to be much more approachable than those at some of the other boutiques on Southport even when I'm just browsing.

I enjoy this boutique.  The clothing, shoes, and purses are beautiful and the staff is always very nice and helpful. I have found special occasion dresses and blouses here that I will wear and enjoy for years as they are classic and not  trendy.

LOVELY women working in this store. I'm not much of a boutique shopper, but I was oh-so pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the women working in this store were. When I'm looking to splurge I will be going back!
