Have you ever wanted to look up an old flame, best friend, classmate or lost family member? I did. And I found them with PeopleFinders.com. I also am now an employee of PeopleFinders.com.
So, for one reason or another I had been waxing nostalgic about someone from my past and just wanted to get a hold of them. I tried all the usual people search suspects, Google, myspace, Wink and YAHOO e-mail search, but still could not find the person I was looking for. But, I was not ready to give up.
First off, I really had not idea on what type of information you get in people finder reports from paid people search services. All I was looking for was an e-mail. Rejection in electronic medium is more palatable, right?
After doing some research, I found that most all people search sites offer basic reports containing name, known aliases, possible current phone numbers and addresses. Yet, I was unprepared for the wealth of information each site returned for each search.
I mean, to clarify, I had not spoken or had any contact with the person that I was looking for, even indirectly, for more than 5 years. And, after turning 25, 5 years is pretty much like a lifetime. It is amazing how much you can cram into five years of life. Therefore, I had no idea how if this person had moved, married, changed their name or whatever. Most of the people finder sites told me they had records for the person I was searching for, but offered no preview.
Then, I found PeopleFinders.com. Instead of asking me to buy immediately, PeopleFinders.com provided me with free summary people search results. I found the person that I was looking for and was provided listings for each city she had lived in. A list of relatives and roommates was also provided. This helped tremendously.
Immediately, I recognized many of the cities and relatives names associated with the person I was searching for. I also saw the names of roommates she had had during the time I knew her. All of the information provided in the free people search report gave me the confidence to purchase a report.
What did I do after I purchased the report? I took the leap. I opted not to call on the telephone, though numbers were provided. Instead, I decided to write a letter. I thought that a letter would be the lease invasive means of contact. I mean, if she opened the letter and wanted to contact me, she could (I provided my number and e-mail). Or, if she had no interest, she could not respond or return to sender.
This story had a happy ending. My dear friend was actually glad to hear from me. She opted to call instead of write and we had a delightful conversation. I am still in contact with her and found her with PeopleFinders.com.
