5 reviews for Pellegrino's Deli Cafe
If you haven't had the Steak or Chicken in the grass, you are missing out.
This amazing sub consists of spinach, meat, onions, and bacon bits, all in a fresh sub roll. Might sound a bit strange, but it's amazing. They also have awesome cold cuts and a to die for Chicken Finger sub. If you go, tell Dougie that JP sent you. (the Linden Avenue one)
Pelligrino's is the run by the same people that run the distillery.
I miss this place for its hot subs even while I am in NYC, thats says alot about the quality of subs you'll get here. The only tiny downside is that it can get messy while you indulge on your subs, but who cares when its that good.
Two words, cheeseburger sub!!!
Great lunch spot - I can't think of a better way to spend an hour and 6 bucks!
I love this place for its delicious hot subs. I'd give it five stars but eat-in experience isn't much to write about.
Get the chicken fajita, beef fajita, meatball or even one of the vegetarian options for a big sub that will leave you stuffed to the gills with sandwichy goodness.
It's not really a sit-down sort of place since you just place your order and pick it up at the counter but they do have decently nice booths if you don't want to risk your food getting cold on the way home.
Pellegrino's has some pretty good subs which I occasionally get the craving for. There are certainly better places to eat in Rochester (I'm thinking of lunchtime when I make a quick run from work at UR), but sometimes you just want some Pellegrino's. Like I said, when I go it is lunch time, I never go for dinner (I just think there are better places for dinner). The place can be pretty insane for lunch, so don't expect a quick in and out. The summer offers a small seating area outside. I hit up the hot sub menu when I'm there (never had the cold subs or salads that they have). I really hate the fries in this place (I like a crispy fry, these ones are limp and soggy), so grab a bag of chips instead.
