This is a boat ramp located right on Biscayne Bay. The fee for ramp use is $10, but sometimes an attendant is not there, and you can just roll right on in. (I think it's free on weekdays)
Great trout and tarpon fishing can be done within 1/2 mile south of the ramp. Great sight seeing and all kinds of fishing can be found in any direction. It's really great to fish here; the problem is the neighborhoods you have to drive through to get to the ramp. If you don't get solicited for money at least 30 times along 79th Street, you're lucky. I've heard stories about vehicle break-ins at the ramp, so lock up your valuables. Also, the ramp is slippery, so don't join the club of people who back their car straight into the water.
