FAST.
super FAST. I called them because I was going to be late on a deadline and they came in less than 10 minutes. The guy told me "I'll take it to this place ASAP"
It's easy, they are nice and I will mos def use them again. -

'Twas the eve before Thanksgiving (yes, this review is old);
And all through my work;
Not a creature was stirring;
Except me who needed my Pain Meds Rx and Disability paperwork.
As the ones who completed both;
Were far, far away;
I consulted a friend;
Who led me Pelican's way.
I called and requested a pickup;
And they asked what time;
I gave them my answer;
They charged me a very small dime.
And so the delivery man came;
Because my foot was broke;
But alas I must take away a star;
My delivery reeked of smoke.
***Yes I know that this review probably isn't in perfect iambic pentameter or whatever, but I made it up in 2 minutes**** -

In my previous life, as a full time employee of a real office, I used Pelican all of the time. And, let me tell you, they are mostly fabulous.
Every once in a while we got a surly messenger, but who's to say that's such a bad thing anyway. This one time our surly messenger insisted on coming inside to use my telephone -- that may have been a little bit of a bad thing, judging by the looks I got from some of my employed peers when the messenger started shrieking into the handset at her dispatcher.
Anyway.... The guy(s) that run the phones at Pelican Central (the name I just made up for the place where Pelican employees answer phones) are all around great. Efficient but friendly, eccentric but strange. A couple of the messengers became my little workday friends (not the kind whose name you know or who you would ever say hi to on the street), though none were quite so crazy/amusing as our nutty UPS guy.
Anyway... Pelican always got the package there on time. Even when they insisted that they couldn't. -

We've been working with Pelican for a long, long time. They are the only courier service we use because they are, in general, incredibly reliable and quick.
They're fun to talk to on the phone and the couriers are usually pretty friendly and professional. We're always happy to see them. -

It's a comfort knowing these guys are handling my deliveries quickly and efficiently. They are easy to talk with on the phone and very very friendly.
I have used a number of delivery services in the past and will stick with Pelican for the future. Best-of-class service at very reasonable prices. -

Abel helped me out of a tight passport/visa situation with the Indian consulate and a 3rd party that deals with the consulate. Had his staff not handled it as they did, my husband would not have been able to leave the country. Well done, Pelican!

We've been using Pelican as our primary messenger service for the last 8 or 9 years, and I gotta say, they have saved my ass numerous times. Hard working, quirky and cheap. I use them for all my in-City deliveries, and highly recommend them to anyone else.
You also gotta love John & Able at Pelican Central- those kids know their stuff! -

I've used Pelican for our office enough times, over a year, to decide that we are no longer going to do business with them. They are sooooo slow and their messengers do not look professional or act professional enough. We have been using Flash Messenger and Pelican for 2 of our offices and Flash is so much faster and more reliable. I don't know how Pelican has gotten good reviews because our office has not had the same experience. One star because Pelican can get the job done (eventually) and I would only use them again as back-up if Flash wasn't available.

I just called Pelican to take a settlement conference statement down to court, and I s**t you not, the guy was here in less than five minutes. I'm not even kidding. It's like magic. We use Pelican exclusively for taking our last minute filings all over town. They have never let us down- the fact that we can trust them to get a pleading filed at the 11th hour is a big deal. Plus both the people on the phone and the couriers themselves are always super friendly. I would recommend Pelican for all your courier needs.

I'm an admin for an architectural firm in downtown San Francisco with a couple of big projects around the city. We've got lots of deadlines and lots of contractors and clients that could potentially be really pissed off at us for missing those deadlines. Pelican Delivery is solely responsible for delivering all of our paperworks. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"-Herodotus
And for all the complaints that we ever received from contractors about paperworks that never showed up, Pelican tracks down who delivered it, and who received it, on what day and at what time. We throw it back to the complainers and yell "Booyah! Take that! We win!"
John knows the city like the back of his hand (maybe even better).
Abel is always happy and energetic, he gets the work done and puts a smile on your face while he's at it! :)
Brad has a sexy phone voice and I'm sure he's totally cool in person too because he plays in a band! (c'mon! what's more cool than that?!)
Matty needs to get his own calendar photo shoot because he's a total hottie (at least that's what I've been told :p) and even our office makes request for "the cute messenger".
Ralph, Ralph is a cutie! He's always so nice and friendly, always comes in with a big smile, and ALWAYS wearing a soccer jersy! kudos for that! We LOVE soccer at our office!
JR has the most amazing beard ever! He's like fu man chu but jollier. I'm so envious, if I was a man I'd want a beard like that!
And there's so many more messengers, each one with their own unique personalities, but everyone of them are quick and friendly!

After working with Pelican for several years and having had 3 situations in the last year we are moving to another company. In one instance, a courier didn't show up for 4 hours, and finally arrived with his buddy in tow, reeking of alcohol. Another time it was 3 hours, and another where they nearly 4 hours hours later and when I called to ask what happened, the person at dispatch reported to me that the "guy just got really upset with me on the phone, I don't know what's goin' on there but he'll be there eventually." Really bad business practice and no effort to try and make it right with us at all.
