This is the beat Chinese food spot any where around the area. Best fried rice I have ever tasted. Try the bean curd with pork. Unbelievably good.

Review from Novy D.
Their beef noodle soup is what they're best known for but they can also make other items if you're so inclined.
Here's the break down; large beef noodle soup, green onion pancake, and combo chow mein.
The large soup is enough to share between 2-4 people depending how hungry you are. It reminded us vividly of Hong Kong soups- just a hint of star anise, not to powerful but rich in flavor. The soup alone prompted us to plan our next trip back.
The onion pancake was crispy, not overly greasy. Our noodles were good and was a hit with the tyke. I appreciate that they had more ingredients than the noodles but the noodles really is the star here. We wish we had more in our dish.
Overall, a great place for lunch- tasty, easy on your wallet and popular among the locals. -

If I can give the service a negative rating I would. They are nice until you point out that they've made a mistake on your order. Then what you will find is that everyone no longer can speak English. Bunch of BS. This is the 3rd time they've made a mistake on my order and same concluding result - rudeness and no one understood me. What's frustrating was that I ordered off the menu, told them the exact number I wanted, had them repeat it...and STILL WRONG. I called them and got handed off to 4 different people who asked me the same questions..."what's your order?" "You want to order?" Then I told them that they made my order with rice instead of noodles (the dish is a NOODLE dish). Then they start speaking Chinese to people in the background. 4 TIMES this happened!
I only come here because my son likes their food and it's quick. From an adult's perspective, the food is ok - not great, but not bad. I always give people 3 chances because we all have bad days but this is it. This was my last time and I WARN you before you come here.
Go to Happy Kitchen instead. I have not experienced what the service is like if you point out they've made a mistake, but they have a better menu and food is better. -

Since we had to pick up an order at the Chino Hills Babies R Us, we decided to try Peking Deli. Especially after reading the rave reviews of the spicy beef noodles and xiao long bao.
Guess we've been spoiled because we didn't think the spicy beef noodles were as fab as so many others described. The item was good but we've had much better.
The xiao long bao is on par with many other places. Not really notable when stacked against other restaurants that serve a comparable menu.
Pork chop rice was lacking in the minced meat dept. The pork chops had good flavor but were too greasy.
Ordered a cold dish - seaweed. Very plain.
This place is good for Chino HIlls, where there aren't many choices for Taiwanese food. If in the area, we might visit again but wouldn't make any special trips to Peking Deli.
Positive note: service is very good. Employees are friendly and the food is served quickly. -

Try the Hot Spicy Ground Pork Noodle. Beware of it, If you dont have the stomach for the Spicy stuff. The Spicy Pork Chop and Onion Pancake is also pretty good. They also served cold snack which you can purchase from the outer fridge like the cold sponge tofu or the mixed tofu snack. Overall, I recommend this place for quick and authentic chinese food around chino hills area.

Los Angeles, CA
My family and I have been coming here ever since it opened. Let me tell ya, this restaurant makes legit Chinese food! I think word is really getting out about this place, because before I used to just see local Chinese people eating here, but now, EVERYONE is stopping by. It's family-owned, and the service is great. The food always arrives super fast and everything I've had on their menu is simply delicious.
My go to order is the minced pork rice dish - it's got ground up pork and pickles, with a side of steamed veggies and a hard boiled egg, all over rice - it's such a great comfort food, perfect for lunch or dinner. Also, their steamed pork buns, the xiao long bao, is terrific! Dip that in the soy sauce-vinegar mix and experience taste-gasm. Just don't let the soup dribble out!
Okay I'm getting hungry just thinking about this place. Oh, but just remember they're closed on Mondays. That's the one slightly inconvenient thing (I've definitely had a craving for this place a few Mondays here and there). But otherwise, the food is set at very reasonable prices and extremely satisfying, and also it's just a little reminder of home for me. 5 stars all the way! -
Review from Rho L.
Finally got to dine here because we were craving green onion pancakes and it wasn't a Monday. (They're closed mondays)
The restaurant is nice and kept. We were seated and given hot tea, ice water and menus immediately. The staff is very friendly and attentive, very different experience from your typical chinese joint. Oh we were checked on several times.
Large enough menu with a good selection, but I had my eye on two things: Green onion pancake and the spicy beef noodle soup.
The green onion pancake was hot and crisp, not too greasy at all. I actually liked theirs better than Good Time Cafe's. Killed that plate in a matter of minutes. The spicy beef noodle was equally impressive. Spicy red broth, big chunks of beef, greens, and lots of noodles. Both were actually very comparable to what I would get at Earthen.
I got a thai ice tea as well because it's a buck with the meal. Not the best, but that's okay. Forgivable.
Prices are cheap. Food is great. Much closer than Earthen. I'm a fan for sure.

great customer service!
although I did not sit down and order, I could tell the staff here are really nice. I called in from work and even though they just closed a few minutes ago (closing break 2-5pm), they were nice enough to let me order still. When I got there, everything was all ready to go! Then I saw that they had a $10 minimum on cards, but since it was about $8-9, they accepted my card anyways. They were polite and smiled, and I really consider customer service very important, so it was nice to be treated so nicely. :)
I ordered the beef stew noodle (niu rou mian) and green onion pancake--all super delicious! :) but don't forget! if you need any extra sauces, be sure to ask!
- niu rou mian! $5.95
- green onion pancake $2.25 :)
- fried pork chop $3.99
*NOTE: the rice isn't that great there.. very mushy/poor quality, so just order a la carte!

this place is okay.. kinda expensive if you were to compare it to SGV restaurants.. but the food, overall, is average
XLB - good taste but most of the XLBs are burst.
spicy minced pork with noodle (dry) - delicious!! it was so flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly.. i enjoyed this dish a lot.. i just wished i didnt have to share with coworkers.
salt & pepper fish fillet - the taste was pretty good, but the fish was too thinly sliced. I like how it was lightly battered. It's just too bad that you cant taste the fish itself, otherwise it would have been a good dish! -

Went here for lunch with some friends and the food is nothing short of excellent. Everything is very authentic in ingredients and taste and they even make their own noodles there (they are they fat ones). Some of our favs were the green onion cakes and the salted greenbeans (not the ground pork ones). Another added plus was that to feed 6 people it was under $40 and we even had food left over. As a side note, the atmosphere is pretty plain... this isn't a fancy place but with food like this who needs decorations.

Chino, CA
This place never disappoints! Green onion pancake to start. The toasted texture of the pancake with the red pepper sauce condiment just made me more hung-gary! Next, beef with onions was just melt in your mouth goodness. I just don't mean it verbally either. The beef was so tender and full of flavor; my teeth didn't do any work at all . On top of that, family style dining allows everyone to try more than their own dish. And I did partake in some crispy fried pork chop. Just enough crisp and not too much of the grease. It contrasted well with the soft fluffy short grain rice. Finally, the spicy beef noodle. Homemade is where it's at. Non-uniformed and oddly shaped at times, but that's the uniqueness of the noodles. Just enough chewy texture and full of spicy goodness from the broth(mind you, Chinese spiciness is way different from Thai spiciness)
Can't wait to go back especially when I've been eating fast for a week. -

Was trying to figure out what to eat but didn't want to make the drive out to Rowland Heights. We've been wanting to try this place but they close early. Finally one night we were able to order dinner togo.
We ordered Combination Fried Rice, Combination Chow Mein and Hot & Sour Soup. The food was all very flavorful and delicious. The noodles reminded me of the noodles I got when Life Plaza in RH was still opened. So I was happy. The Hot & Soup Soup came in a plastic container, not the styrofoam ones, so it's easy to reheat without being afraid that the lid will pop in the microwave. Lol The amount of food was perfect for the 3 of us.
Everything came out to under $20. Really cheap! Overall really happy with the food, and will definitely come back again if we order in time for dinner. Lol
The only downer is their business hours. Closed Mondays, Lunch is Tues-Sun 11:30am-2:00pm; Dinner is 5:00pm-8:30pm. -

The best Chinese Food i ever had? Ah naw.. but i'm giving it a good review coz if you live in Chino Hills and kinda broke this is a good place to go. It's very affordable and the food is pretty good. We only spent like 26 bucks for 3 people and like 5 entrees.
Get
pork chop dish (like the rice with meat or whatever it is that comes on top of it).
onion cake (1.99 and very filling)
Shrimp chow mein
Their soup is good and has very large portions.
If i'm in the mood i will drive out to Leung Kee or something but when i'm lazy i come here and enjoy myself. Service is always good but I wish they don't close so early.. this is why i don't eat here that much. However, if you live far from here I suggest you wouldn't enjoy it as much... -

I come to this place when I come home now and my parents just want to get a quick bite without driving out to diamond bar or any where far. I have been to this place a couple of times and have been decently surprised.
The most recent time I went I got the Beef Gravy Rice (niu rou hway fan?... i suck madly with ping ying) My mom always tells us and her friends the guai guai mein (lol my english translation is weird weird noodle) is good. So we order that and some dumplings.
The servers are great and friendly, the wait isnt too bad. The food comes out and i see my rice and im like holy cow. This thing is more extravagant than i expected. Usually the beef gravy rice is a lazy concoction where they just throw like beef and gravy on white rice (lol i guess the name is pretty straightforward) but this dish was filled with beef some onions and peppers and the sauce had taste, not some random sauce mixed with cornstarch. So im digging my dish and then the dumplings come. The dumplings were good but the skin was a little hard, not hard hard but you had to chew a bit. The inside was great so no big complaints.
My mom got her noodles and she's raving on how great it is, so i ask to try and shes like you cant. I ask why, and she said its because there are peanuts and she laughs and then keeps eating. (side note: im allergic to peanuts so i miss out on that joy in life)
Overall the place is great, good pricing, quality is not really being replaced with price skimping. (The first time i came i got beef&broccoli lunch special and it was scrumptious also) Im giving this place a 3.5 stars but i put a 4 because the service pushes it closer to a 4 than a 3.
So yea there arent a lot of good chinese places in the area, so just try the place out, i see a lot of non-asians here and they seem pleased (lol dont know if thats a good barometer or not..but it just means everyone seems to love this place! ) -

For the price of the items on the menu, this place was pretty http://bomb.com. The place is kiiinda small, but the food is very affordable and tasty for the price. :)
I went here last night with the boyfriend, and we ordered the deep fried tofu, pan fried green onion pie, chicken fried rice, and fried pork chop with seasoned salt. We also ordered milk tea with boba and jasmine tea with milk, both a dollar with meal!
It was yummy in our tummies, and we were very satisfied and will come here again soon. -

Chino, CA
I've ate here several times now. I think the food is good, not great. Definitely worth a 4 stars if not more. But for their friendly service and cheap price, I think 5 stars is justified.
If you like beef noodle soup. You will likely fall in love with this restaurant. Its definitely one of their most amazing dish. It's not pricey and it comes with big portion. Very tasty soup and good amount of beef. Their other noodle dishes are tasty as well, such as their dan dan noodle.
Few things I think they could improve on. I'm not sure why but I'm not really a huge fan of their lunch special selection. Kong Pao Chicken taste sort of sour. Also, their appetizers aren't really that tasty. But I guess the prices justify the food's quality. Can't be too picky sometimes.
p.s. If you order a meal. The drink comes only $1 ($1.5 for boba milk tea) So thats something good to know. -

This is place is one of our favorites. Try the fried pork chop appetizer. The dumplings are also great but take awhile to get, because they are done right and to order...I'll wait for these anyday! There is really good, authentic food here..you will want to become a regular after your first visit.

Prices are good. And if the price is good sometimes I'm willing to lower my standards a little, but not THIS much.
Got beef noodle soup and it was really bland. I figured it would be the bomb because everyone else was ordering it at other tables. Pig ears were also bland.
If you're wondering where all the Asians are in Chino Hills, 95% of them are here eating or standing and waiting for a table here on Saturday morning/afternoon.
The other 5% Asians like myself are waiting for a better Chinese restaurant to open up in the area. Sorry.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Who knew that this place existed in this desolate shopping center. Food was AWESOME!
Here's what was ordered (and commentary for each dish):
* Pickled cucumbers - yummy mild chili spice w/ vinegar. very refreshing
* Pickled Pig Ears - for the western world, this dish is non-existent. You really have to like the cartilage like texture but it is Great. It has a similar mild chili paste spice. However, throw some vinegar on it to make it taste even better
* Fried Green Beans with Salt - healthy & not so healthy components combined. But overall, really delicious!!!
* Scrambled Egg w/ Shrimp - its like a watery version of an omlette but somehow they make it taste crispy and not watery
* Soup w/ Shrimp Wonton Dumplings - really tasty & you actual get big shrimp pieces in the wontons and not just the shrimp taste
* Some Beef dish that almost resembled a Mongolian beef dish without the spice - it was good.
All those dishes w/ some hot tea and sodas totaled around $40 (including tax)
Btw, the servings were enough to feed at least 4 people for each item. We had so much food left over -

So they have a sticker on their window right above their menu saying "people love us on yelp!" Based on 10 reviews before I'm writing mine, it doesn't look like love to me and I ask myself where is the love?

But what is it about Peking Deli that I like? I order the combination fried rice all the time. It's good enough to be a meal in itself. It's not the greatest but just with an order of this, I'm good to go. The only problem I have with it is they put too many peas and it's supposed to come with shrimp, beef and chicken. It looks more like chicken fried rice with pieces of shrimp and beef. On this particular trip, my mom wanted noodles so we ordered fried pork chop soup with thin noodles. It was OK too.
http://www.yelp.com/bi...
Regarless of the things I don't like ... I keep coming back because the people who work here are ALWAYS very nice and the service is fast and friendly. I usually order to go but when we do decide to eat here, the place is very clean and neat ~ they have a "A" rating displayed on the window. The food is good, the service is great and prices are reasonable so I keep coming back .... as long as I keep craving fried rice.
Only suggestion to the owners is to offer lunch specials on the weekends also ... just charge a little more if it's a problem for you to offer these lunch specials on the weekends too. -

I absolutely love it here! Another great Taiwanese restaurant that is within the area..Me and the bf has been here twice in one week, and I cant wait to come back for more..
We've had the fried pork chop with rice, chicken leg with rice, Slice pork on rice (#1dish in my book), Xiao long bao, beef noodle soup (smelled good, but wasn't that strong in flavor) hot and sour soup and everything has been delicious!
We have always left feeling more then well-fed and not hurting on the wallet...2 entrees and an appetizer you can leave with just paying only under 20bucks! Awesome deals, and yummy food..What more can yo u ask for? :) -

Chino Hills, CA
I've been eating here since it opened about 2 years ago or so. Always great food and service. Their soups are clean and flavorful: shrimp/pork wonton & spice beef noddle are my favorite. The boiled pork dumplings are awesome, they come with flavorful broth inside; so watch out when you bite into one. The mini steamed pork buns are very good too, they come with a black vinegar & fresh ginger dipping sauce that compliments them so well. Pickled cucumbers are not spicy, maybe just a hint. But they are very refreshing, especially if you are eating something hot & spicy.
I highly recommend Peking Deli for it's location, friendly service, cleanliness, and especially for it's food that is well prepared and very flavorful. I am very happy they are close to my house. -

Chino Hills, CA
This place has great service, great food and plenty of it for the money. If it has one draw back it is that they don't have a formal large dining area. But what is there is very nice, clean and well served. Can't beat this place for quality and value. Lunch specials are only 6.95 and 7.95, are awesome and more like a great dinner than a bargain lunch.

Diamond Bar, CA
The most authentic Chinese restaurant in Chino Hills, comparable to places in Monterey Park, Alhambra or Hacienda Heights. On any given day, you'll find the place full of Chinese patrons - a very good sign.
I've been here twice now and my favorite dish, so far, is the Fried String Beans w/ Seasoned Salt ($6.25) - the best Chinese style string beans I've ever had. Pan fried with white pepper, salt, chili pepper and very little oil. Comes out with a crisp texture - very delicious.
If you dig noodle soups, you can find a good selection here for a reasonable price. The highest they get is $5.50. I've had the Shredded pork w/ preserved vegetable in noodle soup ($4.75). A generous helping of fresh noodles with crunchy veggies (how can "preserved" vegetables taste that fresh?), strips of pork served in a large bowl of delicate but tasteful broth.
Some of the pan fried stuff is average - the Fried Rice Cake ($4.95-$5.50, depending on what kind of meat you want with it) is passable, as is the Tofu in Brown Sauce. Not knock-you-on-your-arse-awesome, but not knock-your-arse-out bad either.
Their menu consists of 109 items so you can keep coming to this place for quite some time without ordering the same thing twice. If you do come (which you should, if you live in Chino Hills) try to take somebody who can read Chinese - there are a few entries entirely in Chinese that might be worth your while to try. -

Alright, I just got to vent on this. Close at 8:30pm? Are you freaking kidding me?! 8:30 is too freaking early, why don't ya'll just close at 8, and make it more convenient for all of us.
My first trip I was here, I got the Pork Chop Rice. It's blehhh, whatever. It's usual which is Deep Fried Pork Chop, with tea stewed egg and tofu, veggies over rice with some gravy. You don't get much like other places do. But hey, maybe it's because it's far away from the likes of Rowland Heights and SGV, can't complain much.
One star for closing way too early and lagging in performance. -

CA
Peking Deli opened about two years ago and has been a hit among my coworkers ever since. We used to make at least one trip out there every week.
Their pork and bamboo shoots are to die for.
Their mapo tofu is like nothing I've ever tasted. The pork sauce is practically disintegrated and melts in your mouth.
Their beef noodle soup is slightly disappointing. I've had better in Monterey Park at Mandarin Noodle House.
Their pork with preserved vegetable noodle soup is awesome.
Always request handmade noodles when ordering noodle soup.
The downside is that the quality of food varies throughout the week depending on who is cooking. Sometimes the food is more garlicky (which I like) and sometimes it is missing garlic completely.
But in Chino Hills, this is the best chinese restaurant you can find.Listed in: My Neighborhood

i only come here for the noodles. they have good noodles here. dry noodles. wet noodles. thick noodles. thin noodles. They should be called House of Noodles.
On a rainy day or when I'm sick, I opt here for noodle soup especially when I don't want to smell like pho afterwards - or else then pho would be my 1st choice of soup & noodles.
ALL their noodle dishes are good but BEWARE!!!! The spicy, ground pork noodle dish is SPICY...even when I asked for mild it was still WAY too spicy! -

Chino Hills. Besides the hundreds of chain restaurants, its not really known as a staple for good dining. But Peking deli is a little hidden gem in this area.
Peking deli is a nice little Mandarin Chinese restaurant. I don't think its worth driving from far away to eat here, but if you're around the area is a definite must try. The place is family owned and operated I believe. Nothing fancy about this place, its small and clean. The green onion pancakes are pretty good and the beef noodles are excellent. Try them with the thick noodles if that's your thing. Everything else I've had here has all been very good.Listed in: Chinese Food

This place...you think its just a whole in a wall chinese restaurant...nope...Chinese people come here and eat all the time. The proprietors are very cool...once you get to know them. My kids love the food and the people. Great food...we typically get the same thing for the family...why waver...if it gets the job done and everyone leaves happy, so be it. Highly recommend. Not your typical chinese restaurant, your food is cooked to order...not sitting around waiting to be served.

Peking Deli is a hidden gem in a strip mall. Everything I have had here is freaking delicious! The restaurant is family owned and operated and is always packed.. I cannot eat pork and so the owner always makes me "vegetarian" mapo tofu, which happens to be my favorite dish here. Very friendly staff and consistently delicious food.

Peking Deli in Chino Hills is owned by the same people as the one in Walnut by Mt. Sac. I've been a fan of the Walnut location for a while, so I was excited when I realized there was one a few precious minutes closer to me.
The food here is just as good. I love their green onion pancakes, steaming hot soup dumplings and pan fried rice cakes. Mmm those rice cakes - they're like little savory mochis. I also like the beef noodle soup and pan fried dumplings as well. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I've had anything bad here ever. Serving sizes are generous and prices are super cheap.
I'll definitely be back when a craving for Taiwanese food hits. -

They are fast. Their prices are super good. You really can't go wrong. Now don't get me wrong, I've had better food in other places, but I have to drive 30 minutes and spend 3x more.
They are quick, friendly, great service, price is awesome and the food is great.
Update**
I recently tried out another asian place that opened up in Chino Hills and I ordered their Spicy Beef Noodle soup. Again, Peking Deli is the local winner. Lover their soup, love their combination gravy over rice, and love their prices. The other place was way more expensive and had a higher minimum to use the credit card (boo). -

THE GIST: Yummy Chinese Food and CHEAP!
OVERALL: We love coming here because it's close to where our family lives and it's deliciously convenient..not that many great tasting Chinese food places in Chino Hills after all.. so we love stopping by here often!
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1) BEEF NOODLE SOUP: this is a classic Taiwanese dish that we get almost every time we come. Beef base soup, noodles ( we like thick noodles!), and a couple chunks of beef. Feel free to share with friends so you can eat other things as well cuz it's a big bowl.
2) SHIAO LONG BAO (little steamed pork buns): this is another dish we get almost every time we come. This place makes this dish perfectly. We've tried shaio long baos in many different restaurants and this place is one of our fav places to eat it.
3) THE RICE DISH WITH THE FATTY PORK SLICE: Not sure what it's called on the menu.. but for those of you who do love a well marinated and soft piece of pork meat with pork fat attached to the top of it, with picked mustard leaves, a boiled soy sauce-y flavor egg, some vegetables over rice, we high recommend this.. We think the description may have just scared you away from the dish, but trust us.. the flavor is DELICIOUS.
4) PIG EAR: This is located in the litle fridge to the right side of the counter.. you can grab one and ask them to charge you.. or ask for one and they should bring one to you. This isn't JUST pig ear.. it's marinated and stewed.. great flavor.... you gotta be a pig ear lover though.. you know.. the cartilage crunch with slight soft skin. ;) .
SERVICE: We're pretty sure this place is family owned. It's the same staff for the past couple of years and has that family owned feeling. Service is good enough, nothing outstanding or worth mentioning. -

Good Place To Dine~
It is not your ordinary fast food place~
The quality of food is great~
The authenticity of the Chinese flavor is quit decent, as well!!
Both Dine-In and Take-Outs, are popular for the locals....
The quality + quantity are great! and the price is decent. -

They have the best beef noddle! Their beef noddle is yummy, make sure you order the wide noddle which tastes much better than the thin ones.
I go to this resturant all the time even though I am not poor. lol
Definately recommended to friends and families!
