Nice salsa and healthy items on the menu.
Gotta have a Bohemia or Negra Modelo when I'm here.
The Queso Fundido Appetizer is always good.
Almost forgot...the deep fried ice cream is one of the best. It is served in a big bunuelo taco shell with whipped cream, drizzled with honey, fudge, and caramel.
I was SO hoping for more since this place is so convenient for me. The food was decent but not outstanding. I had a combo plate with the worst tamale I've ever eaten. The chicken taco, rice and beans were OK.
On a good note - the chips were hot and the salsa was tasty. I finished off dinner with the fried ice cream. This dish was worth coming back for --yummy fried vanilla ice cream in a fried tortilla dusted with cinammon sugar and topped with swirls of chocolate and whipped cream.
It was decent. I really like the enchilada sauce. The rice and beans were good. I didnt like the salsa. It wasnt tasty. It honestly tasted like ammonia or bleach was added! I think it should have been cheaper. We paid about 50 bucks for 2 adults and 2 children. It was alright.
I like them...however when ever I say, "lets go to Pedros" no one says yes...

They have a healthy menu which played nicely into the theme back when we had a gym there but now that the gym is gone I'll be interested to see if they change. Good wine, good beer, great fish tacos
Being located in an old strip mall, Pedro's didn't "call out" to me. Then, a friend highly recommended it about 5 years ago and it's by far my favorite East County restaurant. The food and service are excellent and it's decorately very nicely, making for a pleasant dining experience. It's almost always busy...a sure sign of a successful business! Owner Maria will always make sure you are happy. Don't miss this one! Bonus: they serve wine & beer (including my fave, Negra Modelo).
