Co-Pay Malpractice! Have you ever gone to a doctor and when you sign in they demand you pay your co-pay before they provide any service? Basically, they are insinuating that you look like a deadbeat and they expect you to nick 'em for the $20 on the way out... Then, after you pay the $20 you wait for FREAKIN 2 hours for the doctor to see you? And you only had an hour anyway before you had to go back to work.. Well, that has happened to me several times so I now JUST SAY NO to paying my Co-Pays up front. 95% of the medical community is OK with that, they collect it on the way out.. But not the Pediatric Center of Round Rock.. no sir eee Bob. The Office Manager (I'll call her Adolph so that she remains anonymous) refused me service. I am sitting there with my 4 month old baby and she tells me to get lost, she HAS to have the co-pay up front or shove off. I spent the next couple of days leaving messages with the Owner / Doctor and she called back and caved immediately and told me it was no problem.. The problem is I spent too much time being inconvenienced and I went elsewhere because of the Over-Empowered Nazi Office Mgr. I have no idea how good the doctors are there, they might be the best in Austin,, I have no idea because Adolf didn't let me in.. I now have a new pediatrician who didn't even ask me to pay up front.. I feel better, I vented..
