My daily breakfast for the past 4 months and I have yet to tire of it.

1.  Honey Wheat Oat bread lightly toasted.
2.  Spread about two to three tablespoons worth of pb on one side.
3.  Drizzle and then spread honey on the other toasted slice.
4.  My breakfast when I get to work and get my cup of coffee.
5.  Go to the gym to work off the around-300 calories I just consumed.

JIF

That's my brand!

On ADHD days, I give PB sandwiches to the kids for snack at school and wait...

...the silence is deafening.

I eat PB right off the spoon and make toast and pour a tall glas of milk when I'm lazy.

If you have extra energy.......Skippy extra chunky on toasted Hawaiian sweet bread drizzled with honey.

If you have 20 extra mins..........Kick it up a few notches by coating in a batter of whipped eggs, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and Grand Mainer. Griddle with real butter and dust with powdered sugar!

Hot damn!

There's nothing like a jar of processed nuts and some saltines to lazy away the afternoon. Nowadays, you can get a variety of different buttered nuts: dark nuts, light nuts, big nuts, small nuts. Yeah, all the ladies are clamoring for the Brazils...

... and yes,I know it's technically a legume...

Sing with me now:

It's peanut butter jelly time, peanut butter jelly time, peanut butter jelly time!

Peanutbutterjelly! Peanutbutterjelly! Peanutbutterjelly!

PBJ sandwiches accompanied by green pimento olives and whole milk.  Any flavor jelly will do, but I prefer cherry or strawberry preserves.  Smear a little mayo on the bread before the peanut butter.  Don't knock it 'till you've tried it!
Elvis was hooked on fried PB & banana sandwiches.  I personally am not fond of bananas.  They have the texture of snot, especially when served hot.
Happy Holidays.

I have a few peanut butter sandwich variations.

Each special in their own way.

1. Jif Extra Crunchy and a bananer - Cant beat it with a bat. Dont spread the nanners. LEave em chunkified. A real man fries his nanners Elvis style.

2. Jif Extra Crunchy and jam - Any fruit jam will do, provided its a 1:2 jam/pb ratio. Extra sweet simply will not do, and i will heave it across the room, so help me god i will.

Variations - Add a slice of NY extra sharp and nuke it for 33 seconds.

The final sandwich - Here is the bonus....if youve had this lunch juggernaut, you get points.

3. Jif Extra Crunchy and Hellman's Mayo (Best Food's here) - Sounds disgusting, looks disgusting, tastes pretty amazing. My Welsh grandfather showed me this sandwich as a kid, along with the white onion/margerine Wonder bread he made famous in the fam.

Now combine them all for a real 3am experience!

Ahhh yes, the humble peanut butter jelly sandwich, my savior. In my youth, it was all about the cheapo white bread, slathered with a ton of pb from those huge glass jars, and topped with, of all things, sugar.  Lots of sugar.  And maybe for something different on other days, Captn Crunch cereal. Did anyone else do that?! Maybe thats why I was such a fat kid growing up?  Haha, but now I'm all grown up, and it's now made with the finest Safeway butter-top wheat bread, and Smuckers strawberry "preserves" ooooh. I read somewhere that if you want to lose weight, just eat a pb&j sandwich everyday for lunch. Whodathunkit?! I'm so already there!

I like a freshly opened jar of creamy Jif spread thick on two slices of Wonder Bread with a glass of milk.  Skippy is good too. (That battle is kind of like the Colgate-Crest debate.)  Or, creamy Jif on Wonder Bread with some Planter's cocktail peanuts sprinkled on top or a thin layer of butter, or some apricot jam.

I eat 5 Peanut-butter and  Jelly sandwiches a day, and wash it down with a good cup of Joe.

I would use Trader Joe's Chunky Peanut butter and any ordinary jam on a Orowheat buttermilk bread. Other options are half of Costco-size jar of Nutella, bananas,& rice krisipies

Peanut butter and Jam Sandwich is a convenient  and a "poor-man's" breakfast!!

I have a special place in my heart for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The perfect PB&J starts out with quality ingredients. I use Whole Foods Crunchy peanut butter for kids (it has sugar that I probably don't need, but meh) and Bonne Maman strawberry preserves (accept no substitutes).

For optimal enjoyment, the bread should be thick white bread and toasted to the point where it just starts to turn golden. The peanut butter and perserves must be placed on the toast immediately after it comes out and pressed together so that the peanut butter gets all warm and gooey.

If you have one of those sandwhich maker press things from the late 80's, even better. Those things will toast and seal the sandwich. I haven't seen one in ages though...

Experimentation is always a good idea. I've tried many. The triple decker. The quadruple. The whole wheat. The untoasted. The english muffin. The microwaved. The double jam. The double peanut butter (messy).

It makes me feel like I'm 6 again.

Yup!  Can't beat them.  ONLY with chunky peanut butter.  And with strawberry or grape jam.  I put PBJ and jam on BOTH sides of the bread for a double dip.

I like mine with bacon!  (But no jelly!)  Seriously!  As a kid, I had one of these sandwiches with a chocolate milkshake and came down with hives.

Other variations:
Banana
Potato Chip
Honey
Butter

For some reason, I prefer the first scoop of a freshly opened jar.

Peanut butter sandwiches are a funny staple in our household. I like 'em with Bonne Maman strawberry or raspberry preserves while my little man likes 'em just plain. Whenever I make 'em for him, he will always ask me "mommy, is there jelly?" For some weird reason he doesn't like jelly. What a kid. My favorite peanut butter is the kind you get from Whole Foods which you turn the machine on and grind it yourself into a tub. YUMMO!!!!

PBHB, warm and gooey in a microwave = the solution to all of life's problems. And on a normal day, a PBJ with sliced strawberries is pretty damn good too. The perfect camping food!

Chunky peanut butter, ripe banana, and honey all sprinkled with kosher salt on toasted whole grain is the way I love my peanut butter sandwich.  Once or twice a year, I'll make the Elvis with peanut butter, banana, and crisp fried bacon on whole grain, grilled.  Peanut butter and bacon go surprisingly well together.

I prefer a boost of the salty over jelly/jam in my peanut butter sandwich.

i'm reviewing the peanut butter sandwiches my husband makes us once in a while for a snack...
i don't know how he does it, but whenever he makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, they taste really good...

if i were to rate my own, it would be negative zillion... they never taste good to me...

i like creamy peanut butter, and i'm not sure if i favor a certain brand over another.  my husband bought the one we have now... it's a skippy one :)
