We've been to Peachez four times, I think. Each time the music has been very good! I love Brian Lenair's music! I think he's there every other Friday night. and he's great. The food is not bad. I've enjoyed what I've eaten there and the drinks are made well. Drawbacks - Seating is limited and they close early. It is in a strip mall but it is one of the few live music lounges in the area so I hope it lasts!

I came here for a birthday party a few weeks ago and a date night some months ago. Each time was a fun one that included good food, GREAT SINGING, and really potent cocktails!
They specialize in seafood dishes and standard All American food selections (wings, burgers, crab cake sandwiches etc.)
The customer service was very good both times. YES, this place is in a strip mall, the decor-- grandma's dining room, but don't sleep! The entertainment here is crazy! They have live bands with some of the best singers and musicians in the area. The singers hit Jill Scott classics, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and all other current radio tunes they could spin into something jazzy.
When it REALLY GETS GOOD, these nightingales take flight from the stage and make their way around the restaurant for serenades, one shoved a microphone my way and had me blow a few notes?! ooooh Lord luckily I can carry a tune otherwise that could've been embarrassing.
My friend even looked hestitant until he realized I had not made a fool of myself, he looked over and said WOW I did'nt know you could sing? I just winked, but deep down I was sweatin' bullets.
I recommend this place for a ladies night out, afterwork, or a date night. The dance floor fills up midway through the evening. This is a nice venue for people who hang out in DC/ VA and don't want to run into that same old crowd.
Check it out! It's refreshing to find a place that provides dinner and dancing, instead of this trendy lounge scene where folks get dressed up just to stand around.Listed in: PG IS ALRIGHT BY ME!, Just The Two Of Us....

Was once one of my fav Sunday brunch spots. Now? Not so much.
Not sure if the food is worse than the staff (its really only ONE person in particular, and she KEEPS an attitude), but...whatever. I won't be going back -- which is too bad, because I'm a fan of some of the musical talent that performs there.
I hate that PG County has such POOR sit-down restaurant selections.
Oh well.Listed in: garbage!

My first time going to Peachez was the weekend of my birthday with my boyfriend, and we went for brunch. Overall the food was good, however staff seemed a little un-organized. When I called to change my reservation to an hour later, they had me on hold for like 8min; you would've thought I asked them close the restaurant down.
Then upon arrival, we had to wait for an add'l 10min (and we were on time!). Then the waitress we had was HORRIBLE!! The only words she said to us was "What type of drink would you all like?" I watched how this woman interacted with other parties around us and she greeted all of them with a smile, yet when she came to our table, it was like WWIII. I would've given this place 4 stars, but the customer service was WHACK!!! I hope it's better the next time I return. -

I agree with another Yelper that this place needs an image overhaul-- STAT! I've been hearing about Peachez for a few years so I was excited to try them out for Sunday brunch recently. Yet I somehow knew before I even arrived that we wouldn't receive good service and it was probably very overrated.
I walked in at 2 pm to see the jazz band packing up, which surprised me. I know they open at 10:30 but I would have thought that peak hours on a Sunday were 11-3. I guess not. It's a fairly large place, with a bar in the center of the room. Reminded of Jasper's in Greenbelt in the 90's, which is not really a compliment. My gf's had drinks sitting at the bar waiting on me (always late) that they said were good. I was thirsty, so I wanted to sit down so I could start my unlimited mimosas (fairly decent price of $5 added on to the brunch price). Ummmm, not happening. Took another 20 minutes to basically beg the three waitresses we seemed to have to get us the mimosas. And business was slowing down, as people were leaving and not many coming in so didn't make sense it took so long .
In the meantime, I helped myself to the buffet situated in a little side room off the dining area. There were several chafing dishes filled with your basic buffet breakfast items on one side and soul food dinner items on the other side. There was an omelette stand and a waffle making stand, and in the rear a dessert station. Some of the food had been sitting out a few hours and was almost gone. I never saw anyone refresh the items the 3x I went back. I piled on my plate and got a shrimp, veggie & cheese omelette, and a freshly prepared waffle. The standout was the waffle, though the omelette was pretty good. Nothing else was that great to me. And the peach cobbler was gross. Really bad.
I really don't think the food I tasted was worth $22.95. But I know that's a pretty average buffet price. I may go again a little earlier in the day next time and hope that the food is fresher. Otherwise, I can't buy into the hype surrounding this place. They should work on their service, get some new chairs and expedite the food faster so the buffet is constantly refreshed. -

Staff is pretty bad and the food is way overpriced for the quality you receive. As other posters have mentioned, it's always nice to support local businesses but.....not when they take advantage of you on multiple fronts. Bad food with an attitude? Ummmm.....No thanks

This place needs an identity make over. It's a place with mid level decor in an out of the way strip mall in the burbs. I got lost on the way there and I was sure I was going to end up on a farm.
We went for the Sunday brunch. The service was not that great. It was a long while before we got our drinks. That should be easy during buffett hours. Now I felt the food was better than average. The smothered pork chops were some of the best I ever had. I am interested in coming here for dinner so my food is fresher. I'm willing to give them another try. -

We went there on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. There we no tables left (they were all reserved) so we ended up sitting at the bar. The ladies at the bar were really nice and our food came out pretty fast. I'm not sure about the wait staff.
The food was eh. My appetizer was really good, but my burger was just ok. Perhaps their other meals are better. My friend got the shrimp and grits. And she said while they were tasty, she's had better. The cocktails were good! Made just right.
There was a live band there which great! I haven't heard live Go-Go in a long time so I enjoyed that. Parking was ample and the place wasn't hard to find.
I'd go back. I'd like to try their brunch. Next time I'll make sure to make a reservation. -

It gets even better
My family and I had the sunday brunch here yesterday for Father's Day. Very, very good! It was a mixture of typical breakfast food (bacon, french toast, omlettes, homemade waffle, etc) along with seafood. The shrimp cocktail was especially good.
It was great to experience Peachez again from a different perspective.Listed in: Great Places To Eat, Night Life

I celebrated my best friend's birthday at this location and I was very pleased with the service and the food. I highly recommend the fried calamari for an appetizer. I love attending Wednesday night karaoke. Lastly, I had the opportunity to meet the owner a few months ago and she was absolutely wonderful!

A friend and I went to Peachez yesterday for Sunday brunch. It wasn't spectacular, but I enjoyed what I ate and we had no issues.
We made a reservation and got there at 10:45 (yeah, we were late..). There weren't that many families/diners at that time, and we were able to finish our meal and chit chat before traffic got really heavy. I'd say we left around 1pm and there was still a few tables but alot of people had come in by then.
We sat at the bar so I can't really critique the wait staff. From what I tasted, the food didn't seem to be out too long and was replaced pretty frequently. (I would've given 5 stars if the mac & cheese was better... I also didn't like the peach iced tea but my friend did).
I'm curious to see what Peachez is like during the week, it seems like a place that has live music practically every night. I'm down for karaoke on Wednesdays so we'll be going back... -

It's a nice place for an area that doesn't have a great number of good restaurants. The prices are a little high and its not in a tacky strip mall. They really need to add about 3 more wait staff people. I have waited 20 mins to be waited on and that was after searching out my waitress. But I had added myself to a table. I figured I'd get attention when my friends were checked up on. Doesn't happen much.

Hmm, it's hard to rate this place! On the one hand, I'm glad to have a neighborhood restaurant/lounge - somewhere that I could go to relax after work. The hardwood floors, varied seating areas (including bar seating) and flat screen tv's make for a great atmosphere.
But the service has been disjointed every time I go there - sometimes it's quick and sometime's slow. The dinner menu, although varied, is so-so.
They have Sunday Brunch, which I thought was pretty good, but my friend, who also paid for our meal, thought it was a lot of money for not a lot of a selection.
I really wish I could give this place more stars, but I really have had better! -

Although my last experience wasn't a good one (too crowed, not enough seating, bad waiter service, mediocre food) I chalked that up to lesson learned and decided not to return...EVER! However, after hearing that a favorite local band was playing on a Thursday night, I decided to go for happy hour (to assure a decent seat for the 8pm show) and give it one more try.
Pleasantly surprised!!
Since I last visited, they expanded the entire restaurant so now there is a larger bar, a larger stage for the band, and.... more tables! Not only was the food great (happy hour drink discounts and half-price appetizers), but my bartender was extremely attentive and polite. To top it all off, I had a great seat facing the band (they were awesome as usual!!) and had a lively group of people around me for drinks and conversation.
However, it was clear to see that if I had arrived an hour or hour and a half later, I may have had a different experience. I noticed the place getting more crowded (not necessarily a negative), and a small crowd at the door waiting to get in (someone told me there was an entertainment cover charge). Once in, it was standing room only and the crowd was at least 3 deep behind me at the bar. I can't comment on the wait staff or table service, but the 4 sometimes 5 bartenders behind the bar did a great job trying to keep up with all the drink orders. Yes I had to wait a little longer and sometimes had to repeat my order, but overall, they appeared to have everything under control and I was quite impressed.
Overall, I had a great time. Happy hour turned into shedding the work blazer and getting down on the dance floor! :) -

The older woman at the door always tries her best to accommodate you although she does sometimes get flustered when doing so. The buffet is very Southern (friend chicken, grits, peach cobbler) and very tasty. The only real downside is that the $17.95 special is over.
Other than that, everyone is very accommodating, the place is nice, ample parking. I hear they have events during the week but I have yet to attend any -

Been twice after work with girlfriends. Service first time was great because we had a new waiter. Second time are waitress was also the bartender? How does that work. Food is ok. Prices outside of happy hour, were a little high. Drinks were really good. Get there early for a good seat.

If it wasn't so expensive, I'd probably give it 3 stars. I just don't think you get what you pay for in this place. We went on a Thursday night, got there around 5:30, and by midnight, there were no more than 30 people there. I was surprised, since I heard this was such a hot spot.
I went to Peachez when it first opened, mainly because it was close to home and owned by a friend of the family. The first time we went, we were quite underwhelmed with the food and it was very pricey, but that was years ago. They had to have changed with the times by now, right? Wrong. This time, the menu was even smaller than I remembered, and the prices hadn't changed. If you are charging B. Smith's and Georgia Brown's prices, I expect the same level of food. They aren't the best, but Peachez can't compare. The waitress was very slow and nonchalant, and we had to ask her for just about everything. Lucky for her gratuity was included since we had such a large party.
For dinner, we had spinach and crab dip, which I heard was great. Maybe this was a bad night because it was dry as the desert, and I don't remember tasting crab. And what's with all these fancy type of chips restaurants try to serve with spinach dip? They were horrible. I would've been happier with those chips they serve at church communion. I also had the special which was tilapia drowned in some type of thick sauce, rice, shrimp, and fresh veggies. It wasn't nasty, but a little bland, and I just expected better for the money. I love to eat, so when I'm paying good money for food, I want it to be good.
The best part about the night was the DJ. The music was on point all night. -

I had my birthday dinner at peachez on Friday march 12th, it was by far the worst dining experience I ever had. Peachez is the most unprofessional, unreliable, inconsiderate place I ever been to. I don't feel the need to go into major details i just suggest for NO ONE TO EVER GO. Peachez staff is very rude ,ghetto, and complete idiots :)

I enjoyed Peachez and will definitely be back, probably taking my parents. The food was good, fresh and presented in a nice way. The staff was pleasant, courteous and accommodating. As I live in DC, this may not become a regular venue for me; however, I'm interested to try their happy hour.

I've only been here for the Sunday brunch buffet, but I thought the brunch selection was pretty extensive and good. I'm so-so on breakfast food in general, so I was really glad to see that there was a good selection of non-breakfast items. I thought the two-hour limit was a bit strange (Do people REALLY spend two hours at a buffet? I can understand getting your $21.95's worth, but yeesh...). The waitservice was a bit on the slow side considering all the waiters needed to do was to bring drinks. The live harp music was a nice touch.

'Will you share your table?"
It's nice to have a casual dining restaurant in the neighborhood, but I've been consistently disappointed with this place. I've been for brunch, which is probably their best day. The food was slightly better than average, but the service was not good.
On another visit, I stopped in for a late dinner, and was told we would have to pay a cover charge to have dinner. Really?
My last try was the worst. In the middle of the week, my husband and I stopped in for an early evening family dinner. First, the staff looked confused, and even inconvenienced that we stopped in. Do you need reservations for this place on a weeknight? Next, we were told that we had to take the table that was literally right at the front door AND we had to share the table with other guests. Who does that? We opted to leave and have dinner elsewhere.
That was my third and last try with this place. I love to support local businesses, and will even tolerate a few bumps in the road, but I can't spend my money here anymore. I'm done with Peachez. -

A quaint place with potential. I will give Peachez the benefit of the doubt, they are a small business in a great neighborhood. I've been looking for some where close by without having to travel far. While the lamb chops were tasty, the staff was a bit slow, but hopefully will get better. All in all, Peachez has the potential for greatness!

I think Peachez is actually putting forth an effort. That's saying a lot because, sadly, many of the dining establishments in my fine (*cough*) county are just...not that into you. I like the food here, although the menu isn't terribly extensive. Tasty shrimp & grits, but they've recently tweaked the recipe and no longer add cheese to the grits; they will add it upon request though. My friend enjoys the ribs and they add some "flavor" to the sides and appetizers here. I prefer to dine at the booths surrounding the bar because when the live music starts, I find it a bit too loud for my liking in the main dining room. I also find the service in the dining room a bit slower than in the bar area. I have eaten here a handful of times and whenever I dine in the bar area, a manager will stop by the table to check in. I don't know if this has just been a fluke, but it's a gesture I appreciated. I'm inclined to give this closer to 4 stars, but my friend was annoyed at having to remove his baseball cap and I found it a bit odd since we were at the bar and there were men sporting fedoras, but maybe they just aren't Yankees fans.

Nice place, great entertainment & atomosphere, however the drink prices are very high, small & weak and the service is extremely poor. They are not customer service oriented, they don't accept professional suggestion and they can not accomodate a full house. It took my friends & I more than an hour to get drinks. Several of my friends left due to lack of service. I've heard several months back that the service was really bad and had hoped after 6 months they would have it together. The place was full and the bartenders were working both sides of the bar. When there is a venue, they need to add another bar, hire 4 additonal bartenders/waiters (it's only tips) and follow through with the clients. The only thing they were quick on was collecting the check. I drove more than a 1/2 hour each way to support the band and the service was a major disappointment. Needless to say out of the 14 of us that attended, we probably won't support the business again.
