*4 1/2 stars* P.B. Dye is the only course in Maryland which uses Penn G-2 bent grass, which is one of the newer seed varieties, for their large greens. This course is sure to test your skills and your nerves. Super fast greens. Scenic views. Great practice facilities. GREAT food.
When you're done with your round, you can sit back and enjoy a beer as you watch players from both holes 18 and 9 bump toward their holes; the unlucky ones will end up wet in the water.

Gorgeous. Prices are a little bit steep, but good deals are always out there, sign up online for specials. Lightning fast greens and tight fairways. Beautifully maintained course, 4.5 really because of price.
I'm torn. On one hand it was a beautiful, challenging course. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. The scenery was gorgeous. Now I know it was February 7th, so as for the condition of the course, for the time of year it was top rate. The problem I had was with the tee time management. We had reserved a 12:57 tee time and arrived early. Ate lunch, hit some balls on the range and then went over to the starter's area to just shoot the breeze and wait. He noticed us waiting and fit us in with a couple who were members. we teed off at 12:30. 4somes were stacked like jumbo jets at O'hare on the day before Thanksgiving. The couple we were with bailed out at 15. We opted to skip ahead and play the last 2 holes. Nothing doing. Finally skipped ahead to 18 and waited more than 2o mins to tee off. Foursome ahead of us was ridiculous. Finally finished around 5:40. 5 hours and 10 minutes and we skipped 3 holes! Didn't see a marshall all day. That slow pace is inexcusable.
Great course, management was severely lacking today.
