Paypal is another necessary evil in our online lives. As a buyer, I absolutely LOVE using Paypal - it's quick, it's easy, and it's safe - just like they say.
The issues arise when you are a seller receiving payments. You have almost NO protection whatsoever from fraudulent buyers. At the same time, if you don't offer Paypal as a payment option, you lose TONS of potential customers.
*sigh*
Paypal's protection policy or whatever they call it sucks.....they don't help you at all. They need to make some changes ASAP. When you want to send them pictures for evidence they tell you to fax it....what BS...you cannot email them or anything no help at all!
i still have three accounts, but none of them are the premier accounts, so i can't receive any amount over $500 monthly. ever since FeeBay bought paypal, they have been sucking, or nickle and diming you to death. the only star is that they'll transfer money from your paypal account to your checking/savings account within 2-3 business days for free. another star for paying via paypal if you're a buyer.
I sold a purse the girl changed her mind and filed a claim with her insurance so I filed one back Long story short PayPal said I had to pay for a purse I don't own anymore BOGUS...
But when you are buying it is the Best way to pay online for Ebay Products :)

This is truly the best online payment service out there for eBay users and for really anything else requiring payment. You can't beat the instant transfer and the fees are very nominal.
The only thing they need to work on is their customer service. I lost my wallet a while ago and needed a replacement debit card. You are supposed to be able to do this from the website but it required me to enter a separate credit card to verify my address...but I didn't have any because MY WALLET WAS LOST! So naturally I called customer service (and I use the term very loosely) hoping that they could fix this for me. The guy tells me that I can do it on the website and I said no it's not working can you just do it for me? He says he'll request one, I thank him and hang up.
A week later I call back to check up on my card. The guy informs me that it was never requested WHAT!?!? So I ask if he can do it and he tells me I can do it online. I tell him no I can't. He says yes you can. I say prove it then... So he tries to walk me through it and gets frustrated that it doesn't work and transfers me to what he thinks is the correct department. Well it was not the right one at all and after going through more and more menus I end up at the same place with a different person.
So this girl is trying to help but they just don't seem to understand the concept that I lost my wallet and have NOTHING!!! God bless her Indian heart but I just wanted to speak to somebody who is fluent in my language so I could explain this!!! I just felt like they were reading things to me that I could have found on the website myself. So I ask to speak to a supervisor because I'm almost in tears from sheer and utter frustration... She says yes please hold the line...

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
They disconnected me!!!! OMG I swear I almost cried... it has been like 35 minutes by now...
So I finally realize that there is online help. So I write my story down so that they have something tangible to read and a few days later somebody actually responded and did exactly what I needed:
"Hello my name is Lisa, I am sorry to hear about the situation regarding your debit card, and understand your frustration and concern over this issue. I am happy to assist you with whatever you need.
Bradley I have requested a new card for you and it should arrive in 7-10 business days. If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to contact us again. Have a wonderful week!"
They have redeemed themselves...but it should have been SO MUCH EASIER!!!! C'mon paypal.... I'm all for outsourcing, but you can't make it so difficult to get a native speaker!

I will never use Paypal or buy/sell anything on Ebay again. As a seller on Ebay I shipped a package to France as per the buyers instructions and have the receipts to prove it. The scammer in France says he never received the package. Paypal stole the money from my account and gave it to the scammer. Paypal says because I didn't send it with proof of delivery they had the right to take the money out of my account and give it to the buyer. I have the proof it was sent and the buyer refused to pay for insurance isn't that the buyers fault?? I'm just one of thousands of people to be ripped off by paypal. Do yourself a huge favor research paypal and see how they are ripping people off. I feel sorry for some people they really got worked by PayPal.
