I'm a girl and I like shoes. I don't like shopping for shoes because of my wonky wide 10's-11's depending on brand. I cringe when I have to locate a shoe that will look nice and not give me clown feet. Finding shoes like that are a pain. It's even worse when it's a short notice search. Today, I really needed to style up some jeans for a work function. Leaving the house with tennis shoes, I knew that I needed something different, fast, and cheap. I remembered the Payless and did a quick cursory search when I walked to work. I found a few promising styles and then returned later. The staff both times were extremely helpful and nice even in the early morning hours. Huge props to them!! Thankfully, Payless has a great section for 10's, 11's, and wides. Their 11's are almost too big for me, so it shows that they care about those with big feet trying to pull off cute styles. Also, their selection of flats were great too. When looking at other stores, it's impossible to find flats for the big feet and they had lots. I found two flats style that were cute and didn't make me look like a clown. I got two pairs for $50. Not bad and they'll be perfect summer shoes to dress up my jeans. I might just wear them to the next Elite event. Big props to Payless for cute shoes in the right size at the right price!!

A few months back, I was in the Chicagoland area to see a show/concert. The shoes I wore were the only pair I had on me and like most of my shoes - not good for walking around in big cities. It's just NOT smart...but they fit and look good! (Such a lady...such a fussy, fussy lady am I!)
My husband + I were inside Lohman(n)'s where the very friendly and helpful "greeter" gave us directions to this Payless Shoe Source location.
I am just another genetically born female with massive feet. I wear a size 10.5 but I can rock 10W and size 11. Much like reviews written by Carrie M. and Kristina B., finding comfortable, cheap and stylish shoes is almost, always impossible. If I had the funds - I would be able to invest in top-o-the-line shoes or adult foot binding (Is it possible to have this done?! I'd love to wear a size 8. I haven't worn a size 8 since I was ten years old!) - but I cannot. Not just yet.
This Payless location saved my life and my self-esteem!
Here - I found all of the styles I see at all of the OTHER Payless Shoe Source stores yet they are NEVER in my size. For example, the store in walking distance to where I live in Indianapolis NEVER has any thing above a size 9 on their shelves. NEVER!
The staff at the Circle Center Mall always give me an off-putting stare when I ask if there are any size 11 shoes on their shelves.
They stare at me as if I wreak of sour buttermilk!
And I stare at them because they are all belly-up-to-the-bar, "Momma! He told me I was pretty and said I am a woman" pregnant, working teenagers.
I am freaking them out.
They are freaking me out.
So which one of us has won?
None of us!
When I went home (L.A.) in late winter of this year, the Payless Shoe Source had a terrible selection of shoes in my size or none at all. This is because all of the drag queens and street walkers bought them up. And I know how it is - a girl has got to look good selling the merchandise (Although, I work in a store; I'm selling someone else's merchandise)
Here I purchased all of the styles that suit me and in my size. Fear not - there were more left on their shelves for someone else who couldn't get them in their town.
Thank you for having what I needed when I needed it and in abundance!
How lame does it make me if I totally love Payless?
Because, uh, I kind of adore Payless.
True, their shoes are not of AMAZING quality, but it'll do in a pinch. And everything is under $25? Awesome.
I usually go to the Payless that exists in the storefront of the office I work in, next to Starbucks. Coffee and shoes at work. Heaven!

Best size 11 selection out there, hands down.
Every time I go to Payless, I have a hard time finding cute shoes for a wide foot (10 1/2 wide, thankyouverymuch!). I ALWAYS walk out of this particular Payless with at least one pair of shoes. They either get their inventory days and days before other locations, or they're just fully stocked in all the new (and CUTE!) shoes. Either way, I always find rows and rows of things I want in the size 11 section. It's amazing.
The staff is friendly and some of them probably know me by face by now, if not by name. That's how often I'm in here.
Hi, my name is Kristina B. and I'm a Payless Shoe-a-holic.

This Payless is in a really great location and right by the Clark/Lake stop and next door to the USPS office, too. THey always have a wide variety of selection of shoes for super cheap - if you're looking for that cute pair that you know that you'll never wear again or a cute pair to last you a season, Payless is the way to go.
I can never resist stopping in this location when i get off the train, its so conveniently in the Clark/Lake stop! They've always got a full selection of purses and shoes and most of the shoes are on sale! They are good quality too!
I find this payless location to be a little bit more expensive than the others I have been to. Maybe because its in such a busy area that attracts many people. The store is pretty much always busy.
