The guy who runs/owns this business is very friendly and helpful with everything from doggie treats, to picking out the right toy and harness for my little guy.
As long as I can drop by this shop, I will support them. I by my guy his treats from here, and recently purchase a harness for him.
The prices are very reasonable given that its in Back Bay. Great selection and service. I'd love to try them out for grooming services at some point.
And how CUTE is Balki, the resident shop dog?!!!!
I just couldn't give them 5 stars..... I really wanted to, but I have a big breed dog and the selection of items for larger dogs is a little lacking here.
Other than not having a lot that will fit a dog over 60lbs, they have a very impressive selection of toys, collars, vests, food, and snacks. I went here when they first opened and had the little open house event. It was a good time and the staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable.
The upstairs section has a lot of fun stuff for your dog and a wide selection of leashes and collars. Downstairs there is a large selection of snacks, beds and other items. I believe there is a groomer down there as well, but I am not sure.
I had to take away 1 star because they don't have much for big dogs and there isn't really anything for cats either (they are arguably more pawsh than dogs, or at least that is what they want you to think)
Overall, a fun little place to go if you are in the Back Bay area and want to treat your pet.
I just moved to the back bay and newly adopted a rescue dog. My boyfriend stumbled across this new boutique. I walked in the other day not having anything for my dog since I just moved.
The owners were so unbelievably helpful. He helped me order a bed and gave me samples of food to try. He actually gave me a bunch of samples to try so I could pick something my dog really liked.
He also sent me the tracking numbers and kept me in the loop about the dog bed that is on the way. This place is a boutique and comes across very high end, but if you're looking to support local business this is a very reasonable place to shop. They have every fancy dog thing you'd want, without the insane price or attitude.
Best of all you can tell that this couple really has a passion for what they do and it makes it that much more fun to shop there.

Love Pawsh! I just had my dog groomed here and Susannah did an excellent job. She is so patient, accommodating, and very efficient. The boutique is also great. The owners are on-site and very friendly. They have a wide selection of dog toys, harnesses, food, treats, beds, and much more. Everything is reasonably priced. I am so happy Pawsh is here!
Pawsh is small and cute, just like my dogs, so I might be a little biased ;)
They have a great selection of cookies, and know the ingredients for allergies, etc., adorable leashes, beds, carriers, etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but best of all, they carry shirts for the little guy (and not just girls) I don't know where else I would be able to find a "Napoleon Complex" shirt for Mr. Fabulous. I love this place.
Oddly enough, I decided to come back and write a second review for Pawsh, this time about how wonderful Suzanne their groomer is. To my dismay I actually hadn't written a review yet!
Nancy, Mike, and Balki are fantastic. If you are like me you probably love your little hairy friend more than most of your family members. You might have secretly always wanted to start your own adorable, thoughtful, creative, and still practical boutique for your four legged friends. If you were to create your ideal, this place is it. Included are the loving couple and fantastically relaxed little Boston Terrier.
Upstairs is a great selection of toys, t-shirts, leashes, collars, and harnesses (don't wait the colors move fast!) They have a wonderful variety of tough-toys, and cute little fuzzy ones for your more dainty dog. Be sure to take a look in the top corner at their perfectly pet-friendly gift baskets that will surely impress all of your dog-loving party peeps.
Down the stairway are beds, a cute 9-Lives Nook (something of that sort) as well as Food, T.R.E.A.T.S (Yes..I have to spell it out) a freezer for raw food and ice cream, and other adorable must-have trinkets and delicious smelling bathing products. Through the door is where my next review was supposed to happen... Suzanne the groomer. She is wonderful! My little guy doesn't like to be crated (our bad) and gets a bit of anxiety if he is. They are always kind enough to book him as the last appointment so he can just hang out before I pick him up. He always looks perfect with his shiny new coat, but most importantly relaxed, and happy. That is worth it alone!
Lastly- I actually don't know the owners backgrounds, however I have a feeling they were very successful in PR. They have the most fun, exciting, and involving events. From an Ice-Cream social with dog friendly ice cream to, my favorite, the Pet First Aide Seminar- they had a wonderful Doctor come in from Back Bay Vet and give an hour long session on common and (hopefully) uncommon emergencies and what you can do. It was helpful, informative, and I am a more knowledgeable person after it (slightly paranoid, but informed...) Not only did they host this they kindly provided delicious cheese and hummus. I enjoyed this so much that I actually switched doctors and now go to Dr. Beth Waisburd and couldn't be happier.
Obviously there are many places to choose to shop for your dog here in Boston (yet this is the ONLY boutique in Back Bay) but I go to Pawsh because they are lovely people, with a fantastic business, amazing selection, and we just enjoy walking up those steps to see what is new and how much Balki is enjoying basking in sun.
Go check them out! You won't be dissapointed and will probably be back at Yelp to write a review of your own!
I love this place. Being a little (ok, a lot) obsessed with my yorkie puppy, I get really excited about finding and trying out any and all "dog places" in Boston. I saw a girl in my vet's office with a Pawsh bag and I asked her where it was, and she told me the location but that it was closed for renovations. Then, this past weekend, I happened to be walking down Newbury Street and a girl randomly handed me a coupon for the place, so of course I checked it out.
They have a really great variety of toys, gourmet treats, accessories, beds, food, you name it. And the couple that own it were extremely knowledgeable about the food they carried and just really nice in general. Their Boston Terrier is unbelievably cute, too!
I'll definitely be going here for Lola's food, treat and toy needs in the future!

4.5 stars but I'll upgrade to a 5 to help with their ratings =)
I dock them half a star because I have tried to set up an appointment to get my Rambo a grooming appointment. I think I left at least 2 messages leaving my name and phone number but I never got a call back. No bueno. But I finally booked an appointment and it was a success! This was the third groomer I've tried and was definitely the best. The groomer was fantastic and even called me during the grooming session to confirm what I wanted. I don't think many groomers would take the time to do that. FANTASTIC.
The owners are very helpful and always willing to offer suggestions. I love the little treat selection they have by the register so I can make my own mix of treats.
The location is also super convenient because its minutes away from his vet so I always stop by for treat time after the vet =)

I would give this 4.5 stars, but Yelp doesn't let me do that. The reason why it doesn't get a 5 is because it is a bit pricey for me, and they cater more to smaller dogs. This makes a lot of sense, though, considering their location. There are very few things for cats, but again, I think that is due to the clientele in the area.
I have a GSP puppy, and we used to stop here weekly or biweekly to pick up treats. Unfortunately, said puppy may have food allergies, so we haven't been there for a while.
Pawsh has a small but nice selection of toys and treats. They have a program for dogs who destroy toys where you get a discount on your next purchase if your dog kills a toy purchased there. They also have a nice selection of cheap "disposable" toys.
There is a selection of t-shirts and other apparel, collars, harnesses, and leashes. They have a little area where you can buy treats by the ounce. This was Logan's favorite thing about the store - chicken balls, duck treats, baked goods, etc. Sadly, this is now off-limits to us.
Downstairs is a selection of foods that are a bit harder to find as well as training treats. They also have a selection of pet beds that are beautiful but rather expensive.
There are grooming services available, but I have never used them so cannot comment.
Overall, I really like this place.
I'm so happy these guys are here - I hope they stay. I've been disappointed in the past to see doggie stores close down. They are friendly, have a great groomer, and have a nice selection of items. They special order food and deliver it - which is great (though I live so close I haven't needed to do that). Leo loves the chicken puffs that you can buy from the bins.

A great variety of products are sold here (lot's of toys, collars/leashes, bowls, beds, clothing), several are High-End dog products like the eiCRATE or Jax and Bones pet beds. They have a small section for cats as well.
The customer service is amazing! They are kind and very helpful.
It's very organized, clean, and the interior design is really beautiful.
I was searching for holistic dog food, and they immediately gave me lot's of samples to try. The food is very reasonable priced as well and their Boston Terrier is just adorable!
I will definitely be returning again!
The couple owners are extremely friendly and nice. I bought a collar and matching leash for my princess from them first. Later the vet suggested a harness as my princess is a teacup. I already took off the tag, but they let me exchange without a word.
Bought a bag of treats from them, but my princess was not that into it. so I went back asking for other recommendations. unlike others, instead of having u to try a lot of things and pay big $, the owner told me he thought the treat i already had is the only best treat for my princess as it's soft to chew. I like their attitudes a lot. ps. my princess got scared when seeing dogs bigger than her (but she is so tiny that no single walkable doggie is smaller), the owner locked his terrier into the crate to comfort my princess. I am really grateful for his consideration!

I was looking everywhere for my dog's brand of food to no avail, and then a vet told me to try this place. I am so glad I did! It is a little out of the way, meaning that it is in the basement of a building, but apparently they will be moving to the 1st floor front in the next few months, which will make entering a little easier on my dog who has trouble walking down narrow steep stairs. The owner couple are soo nice and friendly. Besides, they offer a food delivery service which I may need to take them up on next time we run out.

Okay, so I'm a little crazy about my dog Luna. I'll admit it. As I was walking down Newbury street, I was handed a flier for this cute new boutique which is 2 doors down from the corner of Gloucester and Newbury. I walked through Oak and went down stairs. They had just opened on this day so the store is a little sparse yet and new things are arriving.
The store is really cute. i was impressed with how friendly and knowledgable the owners are. I'm endlessly searching for tough toys that Luna won't destroy in 5 minutes. She is toy and ball obsessed, but extremely tough on everything. i explained the problem and was shown some great little toys that she would most assuredly love. I found the cutest elephant which is really well made with reinforced stitching. Well, she's been able to remove the ears, but has NOT been able to totally demolish it yet. This is pretty amazing.
I also like the selection of treats. All natural and great healthy alternatives for my baby girl. Luna snapped up the sample like a drunk frat guy diving into a pizza.
There were also some great clothing options too. i especially loved the red sox gear that was offered. I would love to buy this stuff for Luna, but unfortunately she's a samoyed. She's already wearing 2 fur coats so a sweater or coat would be overkill, although it would really cute. Booties will be arriving shortly for the winter months and this Is a definite as I always seem to lose one of the four i buy each year. I'll definitely be stopping again.
Great little store and is definitely recommended for anyone who loves to spoil their furry friends.

I checked out this place after seeing their ad on Facebook, believe it or not! It's super cute and they have a lot of great stuff! And the owner was very nice and helpful (I asked him a million questions). We're going back for grooming soon, so I will update the score if need be.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STORE!
I recently just got a puppy and brought her to Pawsh to get her a little sweater because its still kind of cold outside. Mike and Nancy the owners were so helpful and nice. They are great down to earth people who really care about what they do. They care about their clients and the dogs who come through the door. Their own dog is at the boutique and is so cute and friendly with the other dogs. They let my pup run around and play while i shopped for her, and even gave her treats. This is a great store... the only one in Back Bay where you can get your dog accessories, grooming supplies and food...
and its super cute, good prices and the number one reason why i like the shop so much is because the owners are so nice, give great service, choose amazing products to sell and they totally deserve success with their unique business idea! Everyone with a dog should check it out. you will fall in love!

i love this place. the couple is super nice, and their dog balki- super cute! i bought my dog booties here and he loved them. he also loved the variety of treats i purchased. although my not- yet 1 year old puppy is 70 lbs and most of the merchandise is geared towards tiny dogs- it was a fun place for me and my dog!
